Whats going on with yobit ? The wallets are in maintenance mode

No idea. Not sure it matters at the moment anyway, we need to get the new wallets compiled, if anyone can help that would be good. I can get the wallet aesthetics updated.

Will the digital magazine be something like Coindesk's Crypto 2.0 Report?  If not, I suggest you make it so, featuring 2 - 3 projects in each issue.  It's gonna be something to look forward to every issue.  Smiley

Thanks everyone. Crypto 2.0 (and beyond) are very much in my mind Smiley

I hope to feature content that makes people think beyond the blockchain, topical content on what the blockchain could be used for, including content that is provided (because I wont be charging money to feature editorial this would also mean that publication is not biased towards a revenue model), snapshots over the last few years, maybe questions and answers too.

Issue 1 should be a generic overview designed to get lay people up to speed on the blockchain and finTech sector, and provide something that you can pass on to friends, relatives etc that can sit and read when they have time to get insights and an understanding of what we've been involved with to now, and what the future holds.

Keep the ideas coming Smiley Feature your stuff in the first issue, just email the gumf over to press@digital-currency-world.com.

Couple of ideas for the future :-

-- creating a "big issue" style magazine that can be printed on the cheap and sold/given away on the high street to further market crypto
-- people in crypto, jobs in crypto, buy and selling for crypto, things like that

Of course, also, we need to look at the economic impact of replacing third party financial services and look at ways how;

-- if the blockchain and crypto are used, how do we sustain jobs in the new economy
-- given cost cutting is going to have a detrimental impact on consumer consumption in the future, how do we as a tech industry grow a profitable economy
-- given we could use multisend to create voting on the blockchain, how does that affect centralised political decision making
-- many more associated issues

Thanks for the support, spread the word, keep posting up those suggestions Smiley

Great to see things moving again, this coin is too good just give up on, Re-branding is the solution.
Good job VanityWallets2015  Smiley

Hi Guys, I am going to be using this new account from now on (I will prob login using the other account to manage the OP).

If I prep the new wallet with logos can someone do me a successful windows, linux, mac and raspberry pi compile? I can then get the new website done for Aprilcoin.

Thanks alot

haha, such a dump! Never expected such a great name will get dumped this bad.

I've watched this coin for 18 months and even when it dipped to an all-time low of 50 sat I never saw such massive blocks being dumped at 200 sats.  Why would anyone unload 400,000 CASH block at such a low price?

Maybe the pump and dump scheme is over and it's time to move on to a new coin.  This was a good one if you were in on the original pump.

I still say kill the inflation already - cut the max cap supply to 21 million and leverage the namebrand to build something.

I would like to support this coin.
Everyone needs to stop panicking about the exchange values, you should only be concerned about exchange values if you are looking to trade and make profit.
Long-term, an equivalent exchange to FTSE or NASDAQ will require dozens of coins - our issue/concern should be establishing a team that is capable of looking after coins when the devs disappear.
I would like to start this off.

The great thing about altcoins right now is that coins have been mined, dumped and exchanged for BTC, however the potential growth in profit from each altcoin stands at over 10,000% (the Bitcoin price increased by that in the first 5 years) so you shouldnt worry. Our only concern right now is ensuring these continue;

-- it does not matter whether coins are on cryptsy or another exchange, what matters is there are communities and a fallback team to ensure these are always continued and developed --

Like Vlad says, we should establish a "team/foundation" with a professional forward roadmap to;

-- either leave the POS as is and go with an inflationary currency (would be fine) as many more CASH would be required for public adoption
-- look to enable minimum POS for security and block movement and reduce inflation
-- reduce the coincount to 21 million in line with Bitcoin, IXcoin as this may be a deciding factor in featuring on a future NASDAQ type regulated exchange (max coins 21 million?)

Our aim with CASH would need to be encouraging the public to use (become very high street / user friendly) and be professional enough so that FinTECH and financial organisations will invest and use.

I am happy to "lead a foundation" and create a website etc for Crypto CASH, it also needs rebranded fully. We have to cross the divide between crypto community and public-friendly / public-ready.

With many "developers" and "scam artists" now gone, we are left with around 200 coins which if we collectively develop and strategise we can really make great leaps forward.

Digital Currency World
Altcoin Only Exchange

Digital Currency World is a brand new central resource for digital currencies and I'm looking to deliver content about coins, tech and people in the industry. It will be a FREE digital magazine, downloadable from the website and also through Amazon. The first issue is due to be out in January 2016. Send anything you want to press@digital-currency-world.com to feature. Now is a transitional time where the altcoin community, specifically, needs to establish a real strength and work together and help each other be successful as one big team and community.

It's also important to start engaging with the public to give them the information they need to start investing small amounts of money into altcoins, but first we need to take steps to become self-regulated, and established a number of rules, practices to ensure that altcoin development is for long term benefit to people but ALSO to ensuring that the system is able to create and fund jobs, after all dirsputing the banking industry will lose jobs, so its our responsibility to ensure we move forward with the aim of growing practically and with that in mind.

I'm also interested in establishing an altcoin ONLY exchange for the following reasons;

-- many altcoins that people have invested money in are no longer supported or developed and not available to trade
-- exchanges like Bittrex remove coins that have little trading activity, this is against the benefit of the altcoin community
-- the prices of altcoins are being maniuplated unfairly so that people may earn more bitcoins at the detriment of altcoin enthusiasts and investors

I'm also interested in establishing a "central team" to take on development and maintenance/management of some of the digital currencies that have been created (and dropped) so that the altcoin movement can grow and re-establish older coins. This is not for immediate or trading profit, but to establish a long term altcoin community, for example;

-- if there was an exchange where donations, for example in USD, GBP or Euro were made then over time this would provide capital backing
-- capital backing would be comparable to all the coins and quantities within the exchange
-- withdrawels would not be enabled as it would be a community long term effort to create wealth in the altcoin environment (until such time everything was regulated and accepted by banks)

It's become pretty terrible, that exchanges like Cryptsy have many coins in maintenance mode, and Bittrex remove coins based on low trade volume (e.g. they arent making enough BTC).
So my idea is to remove BTC completely from the trading system altogether at least for the time being.

(By the way, I was the one who launched GoldBars GBS way back in Jan-Mar 2014 (Virtual Gold - twitter.com/virtual_gold)) so actually there is an alternative opportunity to add some 'tangibility' to the altcoin landscape. I was also the one who did the community takeover of Analcoin (and now changing to Aprilcoin XAP), and also the one that has created Cura - Currency Of Light on the multichain Blockchain - www.currencyoflight.com plus a few other things.

Maybe we could implement an exchange that had coin values against the gold price (e.g. goldbars GBS/Virtual Gold) and therefore other currencies (until such time that a value was agreed with Virtual Gold or indeed Currency Of Light which would give fantastic tangibility to potentially thousands of digital currencies.

I would also like the opportunity to create "altcoin derivatives" on the multichain private blockchain as assets (this would either be as a back up plan in case altcoin values in the Bitcoin economy plummet) or to create new wealth through "mirrored coins". A fixed amount of units would be created as an asset in this new digital economy. So please email if you are a coin dev (press@digital-currency-world.com) so I have your communities permission to do this.

Questions

Can you help or support?
Do you think these are good ideas?
Does anyone know of an opensource or other exchange software (preferably PHP/Mysql/Jquery/Windows Server) that I can run to get the exchange started?
Can anyone provide some basic help with development (mostly compiling) - have some other coins I wish to establish - have some great ideas!
Does anyone want to contribute writing and photos on a monthly basis to the magazine?

Thanks in advance - follow Digital Currency World: www.twitter.com/dicurrencyworld or email press@digital-currency-world.com
Any paid advertising would also be really welcome and helpful.
