I went to antpool because I bought an antrouter for shits and giggles. I moved the rest of my mining equipment over out of laziness so I would not have to keep an eye on multiple pools. After the repeated downtime and issues with no answers, I hopped all my equipment back to my old pool.

Well I found the problem. It turns out all the power strips I tried had grounded enclosures. So when the metal of the case touched the grounded metal of the power strips it would energize the case. I attached it to a normal wall outlet without issue.

Well I tried to add this antrouter, but it seems to have a short in which it shocks you when you touch the sides. Saddle it is going back https://i.imgur.com/SkGVIGD.jpgQuoting for poster as he is newbie and does not show up since rank to low. Ok what does an Antrouter do compared to a normal home router?? Is it worth even getting for a small 5> miner setup? It does 3 things. 1. acts as a wireless access point 2. solo mines 3. acts as a controller for antminer U3. I bought it as a lottery type device for shits and giggles. If it never hit gold, i would not be out that much.

I earned a bunch of bitcoin back when it was relatively new and cheap. After a while I said eff it and deleted my wallet with 3+ BTC in if because I thought it was going nowhere....I was wrong.
Something's not adding up; you either were amung the very first adopters, or you simply threw away atleast 10$ at the time, which i don't see why anyone would do. How ever it may be, there's way worse cases than your's; i reckon people who threw btc that wasn't worth much at the time feel way better than those who bought in at around 1200 and sold at 250, because they lost their stake, not just possible profit. I'm not amung them, but i know few people that did this, insane. cheers It was about 30 to 40 total worth if BTC at the time(If I remember correctly). I thought it was just going to tank and go nowhere and I had no real easy to convert it to fiat at the time. So I just deleted it. I had no money invested, just time generating it. No big loss to me(or so I thought).

Just after midnight. Pretty standard for me.

The good news is the vendor is refunding me and taking it back. The bad news is I need to find another one as he is out.

Yes I am in the US, and it is a US plug. I would also love to tear it open, but think that could void any kind of warranty I have.

I have tried 3 different power strips. What is odd is the short is not causing the GFCI on the outlet to pop.

I got my antrouter yesterday, and plugged it in with no issue. Today I was moving all my mining equipment to a new location. When I went to move the Antrouter it shocked me. I did a quick search(here and google), and nothing came up. I have already contacted the seller, but I was curious if anyone else was having the same issue.

Best thing is to just move on. Dwelling on what you or she did wrong won't solve anything.
