1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Unable to get multi-card setup working : 7870 + 5830 on: December 15, 2013, 09:36:24 AM
Can't seem to get my new rig working.. I am running a 5830 in one slot and a 7870 in the other slot. The 5830 is the primary card and si mining as expected. The 7870 is showing up but I keep seeing this error:

I can't figure this out. This is the .BAT file I am using...

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u elitemafia.mafia -p password -I 19 --device 0 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1200 -g 2 --gpu-fan 100 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 15360

and the bat for the 5830 is like this:

Code:
C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://world.wemineltc.com:3335 -u dyingdreams.5830 -p 1 -I 18 --device 1 --shaders 1120 --thread-concurrency 5600 --gpu-engine 925 --gpu-memclock 1000 -g 1

Any ideas? Note that I am hosting hte 5830 for a buddy and that's why the pools are different..

This is a fresh install of win7 64 bit. I have installed the AMD catalyst 13.11 beta v8 drivers, amd APP-SDK 2.9 and cgminer 3.7.2 - nothing else.

Could this be related to only installed 2 gigs of ram>??
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: September 20, 2013, 01:02:57 AM
Hi, I'm not familiar with that type of file. I used Atmel studio to flash the first time and it doesn't seem to recognize the .elf as a project file. Is there a different program I need to use?
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: September 19, 2013, 06:08:42 AM
Hey guys, my Jalapeno ran at 6.4ghash to 6.9ghash when I got it from BFL. I flashed it using an AVR Dragon and Atmel Studio. I used the BitForce_SC-1.2.5 firmware and set
#else
   #define __ASIC_FREQUENCY_ACTUAL_INDEX   7

and was getting less thant 0.25% error rates at 7.25ghahs/s
I tried to push it a little further

#else
   #define __ASIC_FREQUENCY_ACTUAL_INDEX   8

now I get about the same ghash/s but I get more than 1% HW error rate
this is the grep getinfo that shows up....

What can I try to fix this? I feel like surely I should be able to get more than 7.2ghash out of this

I've just changed a few settings and am now seeing 7.45gh/s average but 16 hw errors out of 1024 accepted, 4 rejected, more than 1% error rate. I still feel like I should be able to go faster than this.

anyone have any idea why it shows less engines than it should for each processor?

I just received a Juiced Systems USB 3.0/2.0   13 (4x3.0, 9x2.0)
Your guide says it can run 6, but that is total bs!
I can run 3 MAX on this thing before I start getting more hardware errors than accepts. As soon as I plug in a 4th I get nonstop errors. Here is a picture from when I woke up this morning. The BAJ is a BFL Jalapeno

I had 5 plugged in. After messing around for a while, I finally got it to stop showing USB AMUx READ BUFFERING XXX EXTRA BYTES and have all of them mining correctly with 1% or less error rate. I had to reduce the number connected through this hub to THREE before the errors went away!

maybe something with the 2.0/3.0 mix. which side were you using 2.0 or 3.0?

I only tried using the USB 2.0 ports

Hi, I joined this site because I am mining bitcoins. I recently made an investment on a website called www.glbse.com and they have taken all my money and closed their doors. I saw a post on this site about what is going on and wanted to see when I will get my money back.
