1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Poloniex Trading functions in EXCEL on: June 01, 2017, 03:30:00 AM
I am looking for programmers now who can write functions in Excel to Poloniex.
To get trade data and actually do trades, buying and selling.
Allowing you to create your own trading system and logic in Excel.

The trouble is, I may be able to do this with cheap labor but the result may not be good.
And, to pay someone better, I may not be able to afford alone.

If you may be interest please let me know.

I was thinking of getting pledges for help with paying for this project,
then assuming everyone who ends up getting the final programs, will pay an equal amount.

I would start trying to spread the cost among the fewest people with the highest pledge amounts.
When that is not enough, I would lower the buy in and spread it over more people.
and keep doing that until we get enough people at a fair price that works.
People who bid over the final cost per person, would pay just the same as everyone else who bid over,
but those who bid under the final cost per person will not be asked to contribute at all,
and of course will not get the final product.

This message is just an initial outreach to see if it is a waste of my time even offering this to people.
Hopefully not.

If I do get a reasonable number of interested people, I will progress to the next stage of
defining the Project Specifications and getting Proposals.  Maybe setting up a forum so we
can all review the specs and make requests or suggestions which may help the overall project.

I leave it up to you.
Thank you for your consideration.

Andrew

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Community Currency Support on: November 07, 2016, 12:25:29 PM
We have a Community Currency now.
Based on physical coupons with a discount associated.

Was wondering if I could set up a Cryptocurrency as support/Backup/Validation
.
1.  If the internet /power goes out I want people to be able to continue using the coupons as money.

2.  If the Coupons are ever destroyed or stolen the Blockchain could be the evidence that allows for replacement of coupons.

Validate coupons against the physical currency

3. Destroyed or Stolen coupons would then be designated as such on the Blockchain or whatever, and be flagged as invalid.

4. Good coupons would be tagged as valid, so you could check the status of a coupon at anytime.

5. When there is a donation coupons are issued equal to it.

Now using https://www.codereadr.com/  to do this but has limited functionality and not under our control.

?Any companies or folks out there who assist with setting up our own blockchain ?
and/or  ?If we go with a carrier of Tokens i.e. Expanse, Ethereum, Lisk, Counterparty, Wave, NEM, NXT .... the list goes on.... Which would be the best, with the least cost to our membership?

Currently implementing a community currency, where we give out discount coupons to buy products at services in the community.

People are given coupons equal in the value to the money they donate to local charities.

I would like to set up a crypto currency which accomplishes the same thing.

I did not have much luck finding programmers familiar with creating a crypto currency.

If it would not take away too much from existing projects,  is there anyone there that would be willing to work for us on our project in their free time?  Not right away, but down the road when we have more capital to work with.  However we would like to discuss to establish what the cost may be so we can begin budgeting for development.

A bit more detail:
We will act much like “united way” accepting donations to be disbursed according to the donor’s wishes.

For every dollar we receive, we will send virtual “donor dollars” to the donors crypto wallet.
The actual cash will be forwarded to the local charity.

I imagine we will add the funds manually until we can automate the process.
But we would like them to be able to do exchanges much like Bitcoin does.

Basically we need a secure, anonymous, reliable, and easy to use system for people to exchange our virtual currency, much like how they can use our coupons now.

Thank you for your time and Consideration,
Andrew

4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Freelance Coders with Bitcoin Knowledge on: December 16, 2015, 11:32:28 PM
Is there a good place to go to find Freelance Coders to work with the Bitcoin template ?
Want to create a Community Currency for my city and it has to fit with our needs,
but have no idea who or where to get knowledgeable coders to make the necessary changes.
Of course we expect to compensate for their work.
