Perhaps we need to assign some kind of "confirmed" status to actual company representatives so that users can easily distinguish between service provider staff and others who may use the prefix because they're fanbois or trolls.

But what if they are all of the above (staff, fanboy, troll) - like BFL_Josh?

I know they banned BFL_Mitt and BFL_Obama from BFL forums. Possibly it had to do something with the elections. Or shit Inaba said. Or shit my dad says.

When I read messages like this "... I will most likely order my jalapeņo [sells for $149] on the 2nd of November. ... You see it's my birthday so I will receive enough money to pay for it ..." (https://forums.butterflylabs.com/showthread.php/207-Postage-Date-of-shipping) it makes me think: how old is the average BFL troll (customer?) ?

...3) BFL then starts connecting, on a live webcam or screencast or whatever to given credentials within just a few minutes and stay connected for 30min? 60min?

Even if there would be prototype ASICs available right now, there's no software that supports them.

ckolivas/cgminer has offered to support the ASICs - but hasn't received anything (prototypes, dev board, etc.) from BFL yet.

And, according to Josh/BFL, not even their own miner - EasyMiner - supports the ASICs.

Biggest question for me so far: How on earth do those guys test their own hardware?!

Among other methods mentioned, I think one of the best ways to keep yourself anonymous is to use a mixing service to help sever any ties to previous bitcoin addresses.

You mean like TOR?
