1  Economy / Economics / Re: I am Building a Crypto District in New York City on: September 29, 2019, 04:42:03 PM
All the best to you. My first thought was well this guy is crazy, but hey, we have to start somewhere. Maybe you will be the crypto-currency kingpin in New York. Like the Silicon Valley but for Bitcoin. Shocked
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open letter/question to Satoshi on: September 29, 2019, 04:40:40 PM
Who heard about that Satoshi reveal website? The picture looks like CGI, it definitely doesn't look like a real person. Most likely it's a deepfake and that isn't even a real person. Has anyone found their identity? At least it looks pretty real. Although not real enough to fool everyone.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Bitcoin's Increasing Market Dominance on: September 29, 2019, 04:38:32 PM
since the market is crashing, it's only natural that Bitcoin gains more dominance because it's years ahead of any other cryptocurrency and some people trust having their money in it than any altcoin. Bitcoin is much more stable then other coins. Even though it isn't so stable itself, it's just much better overall having your money in Bitcoin then alt coins.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Akon talks about bitcoin and his own coin on: September 29, 2019, 04:35:26 PM
I might have to consider investing because it sounds interesting. I'm going to do more research thanks to this post, and maybe become a limbo owner thanks to one and only Akon. Cool
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smile-to-pay - facial payment technology in China on: September 29, 2019, 04:12:26 PM
I heard that China has such a advanced facial technology that even their CCTV cameras use it. When you commit a crime in China, a simple crime like jaywalking, the CCTV cameras can see who you are and automatically issue you a fine without any questions asked. They don't even need police officers, it is done automatically with artificial intelligence and facial recognition.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where To Spen Bitcoins? Full List. on: September 29, 2019, 04:11:08 PM
These days we can spend Bitcoins at literally millions of places, both retail and virtual. Of course there are far more places that we can spend online, but actually now there are many different companies that issue cryptocurrency credit cards where buy when you use the credit card at a store, your funds are automatically deducted from your cryptocurrency balance, converted into Fiat and processed on the card. In this sense, anyone can spend cryptocurrency by just having one of these special credit cards.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Software for atomic swaps on: September 29, 2019, 04:09:18 PM
they say "send us BTC to our address, then once we receive, we send you LTC"

that is not an atomic swap

When I use the wallet, I just enter the amount I want to swap and it automatically does it. Does that mean it automatically sends to their address without me knowing?

He is saying that they require him to send Bitcoin and that when they receive it they will send the other currency. However, that is not how atomic swaps work. So he's right. Something doesn't add up.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: September 29, 2019, 04:06:49 PM
We don't even know the wealthiest people in crypto because they do not associate their Bitcoin with who they are. many Bitcoin millionaires have their private keys on paper wallets and we will never find out who they are, as they will sell their Bitcoins for cash. or they will transfer their Bitcoins into an anonymous altcoin so that they cannot be traced.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple and undeniable proof that Bitcoin is a scam on: September 29, 2019, 04:05:54 PM
I don't think that it's scam  Behind BTC is very strong technology called blockchain. In my opinion bitcoin is proven legit.

Bitcoin is often called a scam or a pyramid by those who did not buy it, for example, for $ 100, and now, watching the current rate, bite their elbows and console themselves with the fact that "all this will collapse soon." Another category of people who consider Bitcoin a scam is those who have a bitter experience in dealing with cryptocurrency fraud. Some guys, due to their lack of education, do not even try to understand what trading is.

Not only is Bitcoin called a scam or a pyramid by those who did not buy it, but also by those who bought it and sold it only for the price to sky rocket to the moon and they couldn't get back in. Also, by those people who don't understand it, who think that it's some random fake digital currency but don't understand the underlying blockchain technology. To be fair, most people aren't experts in it... but we understand the point of it.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OWNER OF THE ADDRESS 10BTC giveaway OVER on: September 29, 2019, 03:50:06 PM
I wonder who that might of been  Roll Eyes

How long did that vanity address take to create?  Tongue

Vanity addresses don't take that long to create. Of course the longer they are, the amount of time it takes goes up exponentially... but for a vanity address like that, I think it's 6 digits so it probably doesn't take more than just a few days. It's possible that I could take a few weeks as well. Realistically, a few weeks isn't long to wait for a special vanity address if you think about it.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallets on older iphones are insecure on: September 29, 2019, 03:47:21 PM
Crazy how fast technology moves and advances in our world. The iPhone X was one of the most flagship phones apple ever made, and now your telling me, that after only 2 years of it being out, it can easily get hacked and exploited? That's crazy.

Absolutely! and not only iPhone users but also other brands because mobile wallet isn't that safe like desktop wallet that you can only secure in your house\home.

You are right on the spot bro. Mobile phone wallets can be made by anyone, and there's no guarantee that they are secure or that they don't even have your private Keys. As soon as you deposit some cryptocurrency, since they have your private keys, they could steal everything. You never know who is behind these apps, unless it is a popular one like coinbase... Most of them could be scams. It's better to protect your cryptocurrency, to keep in your own hands, done trusting random apps.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTC? on: September 29, 2019, 03:45:35 PM
Bitcoin still profitable and never worried anything about what happen at the future with bitcoin because everything is fine, just keep save your bitcoin and hold it.
- Well, perhaps continuing to trust our choices is the only thing we can do because even if we have concerns about the future and what will happen to bitcoin in the future, we don't know exactly which trends this story will follow, Bitcoin does not provide us with such information, it only provides and represents temporary values in the market and that is constantly changing. And of course, when worrying is futile, I stop worrying and focus on the current trend, where I can make a profit from investing in bitcoin.
Keep yourself busy with things that will be able to provide you decent outcome while you are in your stay inside this market. Bitcoin volatile movements can bring you to a good place to invest and earn money if you will give your best to enhance your skills around this industry.

There's no exact time, it's all about personal instinct and the trust you earned from this venue of investment. Hold those assets and wait for the next blow.

Holding is the best thing that we can do, if we are not experts in the field of trading. Stock market traders may have more tools and understanding of how market works and since they are experts, they can transfer this knowledge to the crypto markets, because they are very similar after all. For those who are regular investors, buying and holding is probably a better option. Although, it really depends on many factors at the end of the day.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 29, 2019, 03:43:55 PM
The dangers of cryptocurrency investing are that you can invest thousands of dollars one day, and the next day the market crashes and may lose everything. It's impossible to predict the markets so never invest more than you can afford to lose.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: September 29, 2019, 03:31:51 PM
Bitcoin is crypto coin its market always up and down sometimes stable for a limited time .But most of the time we see its price up or down because of rumors.A few days ago it price was 11000$ and now its below 9000$ when it gets a positive review from other its price
will be near 15000$. Bitcoin change many life who hold before 2017 and  sell it 2017 december but last 2 year its price  never up but i think bitcoin will be back

Bitcoin will be back when people get over the huge crash. At the end of the day, it's about the technology. People want to get rich quick, and we can't blame them. However, in reality markets take time to grow and we are past the early days when you could mine 100 Bitcoin a day from your laptop. It takes time, and we need patience!
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: :-> Bitcoin are helping to reduce global debt. :-> on: September 29, 2019, 03:30:20 PM
I think already millions of people have come out of debt thank you to bitcoin. if it wasn't for this technology, people in third world countries would still not be able to come out of poverty.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining difficulty hasn't dropped by more than 1% all year! on: September 29, 2019, 03:24:18 PM
Since 2019 began, mining difficulty has basically been going straight up. No difficulty drop has been larger than 1% this year!

https://www.instagram.com/p/B27UN3eJeu0/

This is a great sign. It's also expected, because we are in a market downturn... And also, Bitcoin dominance has been growing constantly since 2017, and is currently at basically 70%. Considering how many cryptos there are these days, bitcoin's dominance is pretty amazing.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we really have fast transactions like the XRP? on: September 29, 2019, 03:21:43 PM
Bitcoin can certainly have fast transactions like xrp. It needs to lightning Network so that we can do off change transactions instantly without worrying will confirmations then all those transactions will be done at a later date in bulk. It takes time to develop the technology, so just we have to be patient.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: September 29, 2019, 03:20:49 PM
Good on this guy for taking a risk at such a young age. When we are young, like 18 years old he had nothing to lose so it's a really smart decision that he made. I think if most of us could go back in time, we would buy Bitcoin when we first found out about it. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Trends went crazy for the Btc search on: September 29, 2019, 03:19:29 PM
Bitcoin is still relatively low compared to its high point a couple of years ago, so the Google searches will be less now. But they will be increasing on an everyday basis as more people decide to invest in Bitcoin for the first time, they will have to Google how to buy it, etc.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [US Only] Impeachment Vote on: September 28, 2019, 06:28:59 PM
It is illegal to use taxpayer money to bribe a foreign government to try helping you in an election. Furthermore, it is embarrassing an act of desperation. This act alone is impeachable, and there are many other acts which only fuel the fire. Republicans have no excuse but to work with Democrats to impeach that guy for using taxpayer money to his own personal benefit.
