1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with Transaction 2BTC Bounty on: December 12, 2012, 08:02:06 PM
Thanks Caffeinewriter!

I got the coins back!  They went to an old SR account that I made about a year ago.  They credited them to my new account.  I sent the bounty of 2BTC to you.

If they send it back to where it came from it will go to bitcoin-central's hot wallet.

They can't send it back to me though.  I send it to what I thought was myself from my bitcoin-central account.

I never invested with pirate or sent any BTC to him.  Could that be a SR account?

With my luck I sent them to Bitcoinica.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Help with Transaction 2BTC Bounty - RECOVERED - BOUNTY PAID :) on: December 11, 2012, 06:31:34 PM
Last night I accidentally grabbed a sent to address instead of my address from my bitcoin wallet and I sent 20BTC to this address from my bitcoin-exchange account.

1QEyVFiPAaSqtCgjaEmATJKeXjFr1oSBuj

The bitcoins are just sitting there.  I had sent 10.17 BTC to this address back on 5/28/2012 but I have no idea what this address is.

Can anyone help me find out where I sent these coins?

2 BTC bounty to anyone that can help me recover these coins.
7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3700 Gh/s] DeepBit.net PPS+Prop,instant payouts, we pay for INVALID BLOCKS too on: December 11, 2012, 02:24:05 AM
I don't know.  All I know is Deepbit is activating 3 different firewalls on three different DSL routers in 3 different locations.  Backup servers of mtred and 50btc are working fine.  After a while the firewall will allow the Deepbit IP address again and then the same thing happens.  These farms have been mining Deepbit for a year with the same connections with zero problems.  Something has changed.

What changed since the last DOS?

I think I have figured it out.  Deepbit is sending something back on a random port and activating the built in firewall on my DSL router.  When I switch to my neighbor's it takes a little while and does the same thing.

Deepbit has added something, most likely a DOS counter attack that is playing havoc with DSL firewalls.

The firewall cannot be turned off on residential units.

So I switched to my neighbor's internet to test it.  pit.deepbit.net came up and resolved no problem and mined for about an hour.  Then lost contact with deepbit.  mtred.com and 50btc worked fine.  Could not even pull up the deepbit website.

Switched back to my DSL.  Deepbit worked again for about an hour.  Then cannot resolve pit.deepbit.net.  Can't even ping the Deepbit IP address.

It has to be Deepbit blocking IP addresses.  I am on my phone connection now.  I can pull up deepbit.net no problem.

Still can't resolve pit.deepbit.net on my DSL or my neighbor's.  Something has blocked the IP addresses.

This has just started happening since Deepbit got dos'd last week.

I am about to give up and move everything to another site.  I really like Deepbit though.

It looks like others have had problems as well.  GH is very low.

It can't be my DSL router or my ISP blocking a port.  I am mining just fine with mtred.com and 50btc.com.

This is only Deepbit I am having a problem with.

Same problem in 3 different farms on 3 different internet connections in 3 different locations.

Cannot resolve pit.deepbit.net.  It comes and goes.  Sometimes I can resolve it, sometimes not.  Sometimes it works for a day, sometimes an hour.   I have been mining fine for over a year with the same settings.  This all just started happening after the last Deepbit DOS. I have tried different DNS servers. 4.2.2.1, 4.2.2.2, 8.8.8.8, etc.

Is pit.deepbit.net changing it's IP address frequently maybe to combat DOS?  Is there a better DNS server to use?

Thanks

Still having major problems. If I reset my DSL I can mine on pit.deepbit.net for about an hour and  then I cannot
Resolve pit.deepbit.net anymore. If I resolve the ip address on another network and then try to ping the ip address I cannot ping it. I can ping one address above and one below pit.deepbit.net. either deepbit is blocking ip addresses or my isp is.

Is deepbit blocking any ip addresses?

I am having no connectivity issues through my farm with verizon DSL but my farm at home that uses ATT DSL is still on the backup pool.  I will try restarting cgminers and see if they will see pit.deepbit.net.  Maybe I will change the DNS's as well and see if that helps.

I have added these to Bitmit if anyone is interested.  So much easier than listing on eBay.  If I get any interest I will post a crapload more.  If you have any special requests of Bushnell products PM me and I will see what I can do.

Thanks

That would be a shitload cheaper than using batteries and inverters and battery chargers, etc.

All you need to do is make sure the power level is consistent.
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Has any miner ever been suspected of running a grow-op? on: December 07, 2012, 05:53:28 PM
Exactly.  i called my power company and told them I was running servers in my garage.  They said no problem and that they look for spikes in power usage for growers.  If you were a smart grower you would just hook up a battery charger to a large battery bank and then use the power when you need it.  This way you are always constantly drawing the same amount of power.  Or just use a natural gas generator.

I would like to be whitelisted.  I am a reseller of Bushnell scopes and binoculars, etc.  I would like to try selling some equipment for BTC on this forum.  Escrow is ok with me!  I have been selling on eBay for 15 years.
