It's the same as bitcoin. Your wallet does cointain more than one single receiving adress.
Blockexplorer only show you one adress.
Go to receive tab into your wallet and you will see there are more than one adresses

I did.. one address only.  I thought the same thing... like the new btc wallets generate a new receive addy all the time...

He's just is a long term investor... not too many transactions.

*scratches head*

Your total wallet balance isn't necessarily all in one address within the wallet. It certainly isn't with Darksend enabled, and if you have ever sent funds from that wallet you're almost certain to have some change addresses, etc.

Ya but his QT is up to date (version too)...  single receive address only created.. no darksend RC wallets.

I dunno what to say to him.  wierd.  (His wallet is showing about 10% more than the block chain)

Hah.. I though transfer the whole amount to mine then back...

He's not as keen on that idea lol.

Thanks gang,

TC.

Curious.. anyone check their wallet vs block explorer?  Buddy noticed his was about 10% different.  Mines close-ish...

His addy hasnt changed from I could see... normal Qt based wallet...

Any others have the same issue?

Thanks,

TC.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Darkcoin Up 50%!! on: April 18, 2014, 10:19:43 AM
Yup.. I think its the only "other" crypto that is the new Bitcoin 3.0 (or at least what Bitcoin should of been)

Too many alt/shit coins are the "ME Too" coins. (following sha/scrypt). Dark send will be the ultimate crypto technology when they perfect it.... Who likes to show the world their bank (blockchain) account balance etc???

8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-02-06] Now official: using Bitcoins is completely illegal in Russia on: February 06, 2014, 10:07:13 PM
Poor Russians...  Their government is saying "WE ARE STAYING IN THE DARK AGES"

They didn't go back to communism when I wasn't looking did they?

Weird.

Bitcoin's final days!

Countdown has already begun!

We are the true voice of the people, but our voice is being oppressed by the bitcoin extremists & the pro-bitcoin propaganda being spread by the Bitcoin Foundation owned media!

We are trying to prevent you from losing money!

SELL YOUR BITCOINS BEFORE THE CRYING HAS BEGUN!

All this doom and gloom... reminds me of "That Guy" which has the sign saying Armageddon is upon us.  Repent now or die a fiery death.  Seems he's prepared... as he sold his home and possessions.  HAHA.  All I tell him when I walk by is "Good Luck with that..." and toss him 2 bits.

And yes, Proudhon you too are the torch bearer.. albeit in disguise Cheesy

Even though E-Toros' regurgitated new old news, it is good.  Although, I'm not sure many big trades are going to happen anywhere until those crazy Chinese are IN or OUT...  Haha.  Small movement from them cause mini panic buys n sells...

I hope they finally figure it out...  and trade legally in the BTC game.  International buy/sell is sure slick with BTC from HK/China to North America.. etc.  Since they are the manufacturing powerhouse.

12  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CES 2014 - Consumer Electronics Show - January 7-11 - Las Vegas on: January 11, 2014, 03:27:41 AM
Was fun.  Saw the group there (Bitpay, BFL, etc).  They should of had Robocoin's ATMs at the entrance of North and South Hall in the convention center. That would of been huge exposure.

I suggested BTC for payments for the small items at CES for some of the exhibitors hock the small items etc...  Hard to explain it in 5-10mins though. Heh.

Interestingly enough some cool security companies there (with a hardware USB fob with fingerprint swipe -> connects via bluetooth and wifi)... Told them to get in touch with the Bitcoin people (org., bit pay, etc)... as security is paramount for all of us.

I wanna cut my feet off they hurt so bad.. I think I walked 100 miles in the four days... gawd.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here gave Bitcoins as a present for Christmas? on: December 25, 2013, 10:24:13 PM
This morning (Christmas Day) I setup a Bitcoin wallet (Andreas Schildback's) on my mother's Galaxy Note 2 cellphone.  Then transferred 0.1 BTC to her new wallet and show her how easy its done… She was amazed at how easy it was to use (using the camera for th QR code etc.)… As she is the chairman of the board at a local bank and attends Rotary, she can't wait to show her peers how high tech she is. Haha. No more old school MC/Visa/Debit…

The ease of use of that particular wallet makes Bitcoin less daunting for the un-techies…

15  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-19 Voiceofrussia.com - FBI is top stakeholder in cryptocurrency on: December 20, 2013, 06:55:58 PM
I am not sure that the FBI is having the private keys / passwords to the wallets which they control. I am quite suspicious.... because if they had them, they would have already sold the coins.

Technically it is seized assets and they cannot sell it...yet.

Exactly... They cannot "sell-off" any type of assets until the court rulings.

This could take a year or two...

End of story.

17  Economy / Speculation / Re: A possibility in China on: December 20, 2013, 02:49:39 AM

Yo, kindergarten kids. It's okay that you don't know shit about China. Maybe you'll learn more about it when you go to school.

But in the meantime, maybe stop making yourself look like complete idiots with your sweeping generalizations about the Chinese government (basically fascists!), the Chinese people (obedient worker ants! only good at copying our stuff!) (not said in this thread, but the wall observer thread) and Chinese media (propaganda! nothing but propaganda!).

To give you a feel for what you guys sometimes sound like when you discuss China, go watch a propaganda flick like "Zeitgeist", and consider how it relates to your mental representation of the United States:

If it kind of matches what you think of the US and the world, in all its glorious, paranoid naivete, then carry on. Your understanding of China is good enough.

If however you cringe about simplistic bullshit like Zeitgeist, be aware that your mental image of China seems to have about the same complexity.

I have lived in China for over 7 years, I speak fluent Chinese and own a business here.  I don't know shit?

Haha.. Awesome.  Almost fell outta my chair  (what a retort).  I think the interwebs walls o fire surround north Korea...

18  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-10 MacRumors - Apple's Tumultuous Relationship with Bitcoin Apps on: December 11, 2013, 07:03:14 PM
I agree with the posters above and want add that companies like apple are losing customers to android. (I switched - love my note 3 ... I can view websites now full screen lol)  Also, the pro active security on Android is great too... But really how much bitcoin do you really need on your phone to buy coffee, lunch, etc? I keep less than $100...

Any company that dictates what I can and cannot use is utterly ridiculous.  All hail Linux.  Grin
