1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Slush: Namecoin Total? on: April 11, 2013, 07:41:07 AM
Merged mining isn't really supported anymore, I think. I never mined enough namecoins to even get past the minimum payout so I'm not sure how it works.

It's sad to see MtRed go. Sad I only just joined recently. I've only made 0.01450515 BTC and never withdrew anything, but oh well. Best of luck in the future.

Is this pool no longer working? It seems like the sites are down. I'm not sure if this thread is even too old to post on.

6  Other / Beginners & Help / p2pool and bfgminer on: April 02, 2013, 06:43:08 PM
Hey so I started mining on p2pool with bfgminer. It's displaying a hash rate in both windows and I read somewhere that indicates that I'm actually doing work.

When I go to http://p2pool.info/ and click Active Users, I can't find either of my addresses. In Bitcoin qt I had an address and p2pool added it's own address. I can see in the p2pool command window that the p2pool address is listed as the payout address when I start it. Will my address show up in active users once the next payout occurs? Does anyone know about how p2pool works?

Thanks.

Hello, I'm having problems and I want to post in the Mining support section. I have enough posts, but I'm not sure if I will be able to spend 4 hours on the forum anytime soon.

I'm mining in Slush's pool with my laptop right now, but I can't seem to get the graphics card on my desktop to work. My laptop is getting around 70 Mhash/s and it heats up pretty fast. I'd rather use my desktop, which doesn't want to work with me right now. I've installed the most recent version of Catalyst for my desktop's graphics card and the AMD APP SDK with OpenCL support, but none of the programs related to OpenCL are working, such as GPU Caps Viewer and GUIMiner and all the other gpu miners I've tried.

Thanks,
MC10

Did you miss my request or is that just not a valid reason? I guess I'll try asking it in this newbie section.

So is it a scam or not? Their website is still up and running. The CEO is a fraudster...? Dang, how do people still trust them? If we buy the rigs and don't trade them in, it would be okay then?

Laptop: about 70 Mhash/s

Thanks for the tips. I back up my wallet with the .dat file and I encrypted it. I made sure to record the password somewhere safe. I'm using Windows and I found my address after clicking the Receive coins button. There is only one address there, should there be 10 as mentioned in the first post?
