This is all I get when I try running ./eloipool.py: root@pool:~/eloipool# ./eloipool.py Illegal instruction
Any ideas? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) try this root@pool:~/eloipool# python ./eloipool.py Gives the same message. Edit: tried with "python eloipool.py -d" but there's no debug info either.

2. Why are BFL not just sitting on their ASICs and mining just by themselves and become millionares? The boiler-plate response to this is that the people who got richest during the gold rush were the ones selling shovels. Consider an analogous question: why didn't Satoshi just mine every last Bitcoin for himself?

After everything, I get to the last steps and: ./configure: line 5901: syntax error near unexpected token `,' ./configure: line 5901: `LIBCURL_CHECK_CONFIG(, 7.10.1, ,' you need libcurl.m4 placed in a pkg-config folder somewhere. Thank you for setting me on the right path. In case anyone else is having this problem, this is how I solved it: I found hangover's helpful post which mentioned the following steps: cp /usr/local/share/doc/curl/libcurl/libcurl.m4 m4
Then add string "ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS = -I m4" to file Makefile.am and edit file autogen.sh - replace string "aclocal" with "aclocal -I m4". Before I could do this, I had to do the following: apt-get install libcurl3-dev curl-dev apt-get install locate updatedb locate libcurl.m4 This showed me where libcurl.m4 was. Then I could copy it to the m4 directory, and the rest is history.

Vuxil,
Could you release the modifications you made to mmcFE for PPCoin? I'm curious to try my hand at running a PPC pool.

I have a dedicated server and the motivation to setup a PPCoin pool. Before I re-invent the wheel I was wondering if anyone had modified pushpool to work with PPCoin? If not, does someone have tips about how to go about doing that? Any help is greatly appreciated! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Thanks.

It looks like PPC won't mint proof-of-stake coins because my wallet is locked/encrypted. How do I unlock/decrypt it?

You've based it on Bitcoin technology. Is this a competitor to Bitcoin?
Absolutely not! The two serve quite different purposes. The properties of Bitcoin make it analogous to precious commodities like gold or silver, and it will always function as a useful store of value. Freicoin, on the other hand, is meant to be used as a medium of exchange only, kept on hand just long enough to provide a cash-flow buffer. The demurrage fee encourages recipients of Freicoin to put their money to use as soon as possible in an exchange (even by buying bitcoins, for example), whereas the deflationary nature of Bitcoin rewards hoarding and serves a different purpose as a long-term store of value. Can someone explain why someone would want to convert BTC to FRC in order to exchange? What is the added value of using FRC as an exchange currency?

Another to add to the list. I originally ordered a Jally, but upped to a Little Single when they became available.
I am also outside the US.

I can't imagine this being for anything other than nefarious purposes.
Given that, I can't help but ask: why poison the well?
