The name alone is worth 10 per coin.  Now go partner with a country like China or Japan.  Game over.  Holding 2000 coins long.

5  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory on: June 16, 2017, 03:08:45 AM
Read my threads.

It is a hassle.

You have to download the entire Bitcoin Blockchain apparantly. 160GB.  Takes days.

https://bitcoin.org/en/download

Trying to sweep to another wallet.

I only have 20usd lost in limbo.
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Lets make ARMORY Instructions for noob. on: June 15, 2017, 10:14:59 PM
Step 1. Have 180GB of FREE space to download the entire Bitcoin core block chain.  This takes days and will slow every connection down in house.

Step 2. Download and run bitcoin core. https://bitcoin.org/en/download

Step 3. Dont even download Armory until the above is done. (2 different websites) Obviously on a PC install Armory.  Create wallet and PW.

Step 4.  Run Armory and let it sync with block chain.  Can take 1 to 12 hours.

Step 5.  Send SMALL amount of bitcoin to wallet and then search for it.....

Thanks.  HOLD the phone!  Does Bitcoin Core have its own secure wallet?  And all the other wallets are spinoffs?

The Armory website is joke.  The FAQ dont answer anything pertenant or have NO problem solving q and a.  PICTURES = 1000 words.
Which website? There's an old Armory website (bitcoinarmory.com) and the new one (btcarmory.com). Granted the documentation on both is lacking.

There really isn't anything to make screenshots of to explain things...

I downloaded and installed Bitcoin core after finding youtube vids.
Did you read my first post where I asked if you had installed Bitcoin Core? (I don't think you did).

Is this the same as ArmoryDB.exe?  That runs until 257 then says Organizing chain.
No, Bitcoin Core and ArmoryDB are different things. Bitcoin Core is an entirely separate program that Armory depends on. If Bitcoin Core is not installed, it should warn you that Bitcoin Core is not installed and give you clear instructions on how to install it. ArmoryDB is Armory's database engine which relies on Bitcoin Core being installed and running.

I was on OLD one.  New one looks worse.  https://btcarmory.com/contribute/website-todo/  Need to add the the website todo list.  Nowhere does it talk about downloading and running Bitcoin core for hours.

The 20.00 usd in btc I sent to my wallet is as good as gone to me.  I will give away the key and pw so its not lost forever.  Who wants it?

Did you install Bitcoin Core? If not install it. If it is installed, is it fully synced? If not, let it fully sync. Armory relies on Bitcoin Core.

The tutorials are old and outdated. Instructions are in the software itself if you scroll down a bit and read the text on the Dashboard.

Syncing Bitcoin Core and then building the Armory databases can take a long time. This is dependent on your hardware and internet connection; better hardware and faster internet means it will sync faster.

Sync = hours?  Every time I open the wallet?

Should I try old version?
11  Bitcoin / Armory / ARMORY headache thread. Avoid. on: June 14, 2017, 09:21:11 PM
I installed Armory .96 yesterday.  Nothing but a headache.  Poor tutorials and no instructions.

Does not explain the requirements or the processes that it performs to find your bitcoins.

Has been running for and hour "organizing the blockchain".

Sent Bitcoin to my so called wallet and it has not arrived.  Program locks up.  How many hours do I let it run?

12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 No hashing, no red lights on the hash board on: February 01, 2016, 07:07:02 PM
I have same issue.  No lights.  No fan spin.

Did you fix it?
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: January 26, 2016, 01:34:46 PM
Its supply and demand.  I dont see a lack of supply in Bitcoin yet.  Its mostly speculators trading.  Am I wrong?
