1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Bitcoin' hacked - on: May 25, 2018, 08:39:21 AM
It appears Bitcoin Gold (BTG) has been double spend attacked over and over again, totalling something in the neighborhood of $18 million at current prices. BTG forums seem to have been tracking the hack, going as far back as last week, monitoring the controversial coin’s hashrate, ultimately determining a 51% attack was under way.

~~
How can I upload pictures in my posts?

i suggest you always use imgur.com to upload your images. because it is fast, free, popular and more importantly it is trusted.

but in your case i think you better make a decent website for your cause instead of a free blog and post pictures of your place where you are planning to help/keep/or whatever you want to do to these rescue animals

Thanks I will try imgur

She got notice she had to leave her apartment a week ago. Until now she has been studying economics at the university of Cadiz. But now she has to leave Cadiz to go live in a cheaper village. This means she will have to give up her studies because she has no money for transport. Therefore she has decided she wants to dedicate all her time to helping abandoned animals.

There has been no time for a website neither do I have the money to spend on one. Lots of people use gofundme and seem to be doing just fine. Whenever there is more money and time I will think about setting up a website for her but for the moment social media will have to do.

Take care

To show to you that at least i am related to marisa and am not taking some random pix from facebook of people I do not know, I asked her to make a foto of herself that is not online anywhere.

So she made a sign saying I love Bitcoins and sent it to me.

I do not know how to attach pictures to this post but you can find it here:

Thanks for the info!

Yes we are for real. I will provide "proof"  of the organization, no problem.

You can see the post I made here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1328919.0

Thanks for your time!

Best of luck.  I am a dog person so hope you do well.  I would suggest sharing some concrete information if you have documentation of being a true non for profit.

As much as those pictures pull at heart-strings and Facebook does, that is not concrete proof.   I would provide it in open not just PM as you mention.  It's just a hard sector as so many scammers out there.
Yes those photo not a proof, we can just search it online. If you can take picture with your name and yourself it will make people more trust

Hello

I asked marisa to make a foto that cannot be found on the internet, she just sent it to me but now I do not have the option to post it!

How can I upload pictures in my posts?
9  Other / Meta / Re: Can this forum be used for fundraising? on: January 17, 2016, 12:44:15 PM
Yes, you can. Go to the Securities section for example. Further, you could do fundraising on various platforms like Counterparty, Bitshares or Nxt. In the future there will be more platforms like Ethereum or NEM which will offer issuing assets for fundraising or for getting venture capital.

If you are interesting in issuing an asset on NXT then I could help and consult you.

Thank you very much!!!

I will be looking into this.

For the rest, yes I understand there is much scamming going on. However if for that reason I would just sit here and do nothing than we all lose. I wish I had the money to support her but I have not. I am going next week to help her move out and find a new place to stay. I am doing this fundraiser because it is something I CAN do to help.

This is a private group of friends that are not directly related to any organization. The only organization they work with is:

http://adoptalo.esy.es/

It actually doesn't matter much where you donate (to her personally or adoptalo) because donations are always needed!

But apart from working with them they do their own private projects. This means in Marisas case that she can have one dog coming from http://adoptalo.esy.es/ that adoptalo raises funds for and another that was found within the group which the group pays for by donations.

You can find more info in this post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1328919

If you have any questions please ask them in the other post so all info goes to one thread

If people feel more secure donating to an organization donate to http://adoptalo.esy.es/

Some more info

My friend Marisa started working with:

http://adoptalo.esy.es/

These people get lots of abandoned animals and are always looking for people to nurse them. They work closely together with:

https://www.facebook.com/events/1382512475311385/

This is a group of volunteers that take in the sick animals. These are friends that decided they wanted to help. In this group they take care of operations, medicine etc which is paid for by donations. They do donation rounds for the person/animal that most needs it in this moment.

In Marisas case however she has lost her house because the owners do not want sick animals!!! and needs a new place to stay, she herself cannot afford more then 300eu rent per month for a small apartment. However if people would help her to pay a little bit more rent per month she could take a house with a small plot so she can take in more animals and dedicate herself fully to the animals. This means that she will be taking in animals that cannot be paid for by the volunteers nor the organization since donations are always spent.

What Marisa does is take in the sick animals and nurse them back to health. When the dog is healthy and happy again they search for people to adopt the dog and she takes in another sick animal to cure. This is the only way to get the dogs adopted because no one wants to adopt sick and psychologically disturbed animals.

This is why I am trying to set up this fundraiser
It is very frustrating for her not to have money to get rid of parasites or buy medication or go for a much needed operation.

This is her facebook page, here you can see some of her dogs and how they developed being with her

If you would like to contact her this is her email:

Thanks for your time, take care

Your cause is noble and I would like to help, however as you said people won't trust you here. First thing you should do is move this thread to another section, almost no one sees this one, maybe to off-topic since it doesn't really have much to do with bitcoins. I think you are allowed to post this, I'm not sure if it's considered begging, anyways can you pm me more info?

Hello!

Well the post already got over a 100 views which I think is not bad?
Anyway I will look into moving the thread and sending you a PM when I have more time.

Thanks!

For people who prefer to donate directly to her bank can do so via gofundme

She was rescued from a hoarders home about a month ago.

As you can see she was in a real bad state

However with the good care of my friend she started getting better and now has found a reason to live and love

Now we want to see more happy animals!!!

Hello people

I am talking on behalve of a very dear friend of mine who needs help! After a heart operation she has been deemed invalid and cannot work anymore and is living of a very small pension.

She decided to start doing volunteer work with abandoned dogs. These animals have been mistreated and abandoned and never knew love in their life. They are ususally scared of people and it is very hard to get their confidence!

No body wants to adopt these animals because they usually have multiple sicknesses and are in need of lots of care. My friend Marisa however is taking these animals in as much as she can, she is working with several vets and volunteers who put in all the time they have. Operations normally are done for free by the vets involved but medication, food, etc has to be paid.

The problem now is that because of taking these animals into her home she has lost her house!!!

Now she wants to dedicate the rest of her life to taking care of these needing dogs. There is no way however she can pay for a new house with enough space to handle more than one or two dogs. She is in dire need of money to start over but doesn't know where to start.

I have seen how she has brought animals back to life! Dogs that were given 2 months to live completely revived under her care, lived 2 or more years and knew love the very first time in their life!

No one wants to take care of these animals. I am so proud of her.  she gives everything to her cause. That is why she deserves our help.

She has to leave her house this month and has nowhere to go with her 3 dogs and a cat. That is why I started this fundraiser. Please help her get back on her feet!

I/we will be eternally gratefull to people who help her through these difficult times.

Can this forum be used for fundraising?

If so is there a special place to post for funraising campaigns?

Thanx
