1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kingcoin: A delightfully simple spin-the-wheel game (that's provably fair) on: November 27, 2012, 05:15:11 AM
Hello Sanjay,

This game is quite addicting. I have an uncanny urge to look at advice animals though...

One very minor thing I noticed:

When playing with actual bitcoins, if there is no immediate combo available (i.e. one spin remaining with 2 spins blue, 1 green, and 1 red) the text overlay on the wheel says "Keep spinning! Or sign up and play for real bitcoin!". It doesn't affect gameplay, but I definitely hesitated the first time I saw it.

Correction: I just replicated the message after 2 spins.

It means there should be a time limit... its been weeks.

I think the table may have died.

That would be ok as well. Dwolla is, after all, a payment service.

notthepuma, I'm really looking for good way to trade OTC with someone.  Can someone use a Mt.Gox USD redeemable code to trade with someone else's BitCoins OTC, or is that considered to be against the TOS since Mt.Gox would probably want you to exchange with them?

You can buy/sell/hand out MtGox codes anywhere. That's how a lot of people trade. Whether it would technically be against their TOS (which I don't belive it is) or not is irrelevant.

Oh well anyone you can think of, just joined this forum...

Just traded Dwolla for MtGox here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78512.0.

You'll have to PM someone offering, though. You can only post in Newbies at the moment.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me. We're kinda steering the thread away from the "introductions" purpose.

I'm trying to find a trustworthy person on this board to purchase bitcoins, I have pay pal and would be more than happy to arrange something. Unfortunately my dwolla account won't let me use it for a month or so....

Tor

Almost no one will accept PayPal in exchange for bitcoins. There are a lot of threads on BT about it, but the tl;dr version is PayPal is reversible, leaving the bitcoin seller exposed to scams.

The Dwolla freeze only applies to bitcoin exchanges, so try asking someone here to trade. Try searching the marketplace forum for traders.

Hello everyone.

Is it against Dwolla or Mt.Gox TOS to trade Dwolla for someone's Mt.Gox redeemable code?  Do you have to wait 30 days to do this?  I asked Mt.Gox this question and they just forwared me to ArumXchange.  I asked Dwolla and their answer was nonsensical.  By the way, what has been people's experience with ArumXchange?

Try this:

Hello, I'm jibinkor.

Signed up to post questions in the rare cases I cannot find them answered already.
I'm still learning about bitcoin, but the more I do, the more enthused I become. I sincerely hope bitcoin will gain mainstream acceptance after the dollar collapses, and I'd like to be a part of making that happen.

As an anarchist (of the Mises/Rothbard/Hoppe school) I am very interested in the potential bitcoin has for liberating humanity from the parasites who claim the right to rule by aggressive force. I'm also studying computer science, and hope to some day make a real contribution to the bitcoin economy (hopefully making a buck for myself in the process).

Think you might be great friends with Atlas and Dank lol But welcome!

I've read some of Atlas's posts. I don't think he's much of a friend of anyone.

Dank seems to be as far from jibinkor's school of thought as one can be.

As an anarchist (of the Mises/Rothbard/Hoppe school)

Well hello there!

I should really reconsider my career path. The programming route is much more productive and lucrative path than what I'm doing.

It's good to see a fellow AnCap newbie.

I'm tyrannis.

I've been lurking the boards for a while, answering my questions without ever having to ask.

Now Dwolla is making me set up an account with their BS. I'm looking for a quick trade between Dwolla and MtGox, and bitcointalk has the thread for it. I really wish I would have paid more attention to what everyone was saying about Dwolla before I sent them money.
