I don't understand the point? I use /r/bitcoin often and I don't see any problem with it.

Wow this seems like a really cool idea but wouldn't just a simple java game be insecure? Couldn't it be easily hacked? And when can we try this out?

Hi, I'm new to this whole SatoshiDice business and so I tried to test it out to see how it works and I can't tell if it works.

First I sent .001 BTC like it says on the website to test it and here is the blockchain thing https://blockchain.info/tx-index/52328977/a285c66db31a8669e0002b700d941af6e106df83e0758abe78dcf0701b809558 I never got anything back like the website said I would so I tried again with 0.01 and I still haven't gotten anything back. Here's the blockchain thing for it https://blockchain.info/tx-index/52329479/c444df3fe71ef9bd79dbb2a2e66f3cfb2d56f3d98b77a71245e6c5e38bd8a429

I'm using the Bitcoin qt client that you get from the official website. Am I doing something wrong?

Minimum bet is .01, your first bet is a tip.

"Only use wallets that allow you to receive Bitcoin from the same address you sent from. If you're not sure, test with .001 Bitcoins. If you get nothing back, then your wallet is not compatible."
That is a direct quote from the site.

Also how will I know that the bitcoins I recieved are from them? I got a payment of 0.00954424 from a random address I have in my receive coins tab and I don't know what it's for so it it them?

I don't think this is really necessary. I mean, tons of people already run the client. What you should do is mine with all that equipment.

Is mining them worth it or should I stick to just bitcoin?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Other Currencies Like Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2012, 10:41:56 PM
So I hear about these other currencies like litecoin and namecoin but what are they and why? What's wrong with bitcoins? Should I care about these other currencies? Should I mine them? I've looked around for a while and I can't find anything that really explains it or tries to sell me the idea of that it's good and I should care so maybe you guys could help. Thanks in advance.

I won the .01 BTC on my first try and from the looks of it it says that it is out of bitcoins to give at the moment. Does this mean I will never get them or I will get them once you get some more bitcoins to pay people?

this site is different to others , you can read what it says in the wallet balance

Its first come first served basis

Oh I'm sorry I thought it said that's how much it needed to pay, not how much it had. Thanks for the site! I got my .01 coins!
