Otoh, Can you briefly describe the process and logistics of auctioning those 250 coins? I am mostly interested in knowing: - How were they transported to Heritage? What was the security like?
- Did you end up receiving more or less than the value of the BTC from the auction?
- Were there any costs to you?
I still have that bar and I don't feel comfortable holding such a valuable item, but I would hate to peel it. Perhaps I could auction it on Heritage.

I recently ordered and received a full set and I am very happy with them. The main appeal of the Kialara pieces to me are the mechanical features, but in this series, I also like that every avatar is unique.
I was thinking that they should each get a name since they are unique.

As of June 28, 2021, I own the Series 1 Casascius 1 BTC coin with the address beginning with 17E9BEio. I bought it from an anonymous person in 2013. Mike gave me a bunch of the aluminum blanks and made my own coins a long time ago. No tamper evident stickers though.

It's too late now, but using escrow would have been better, especially when dealing with someone with no rep.

I have one that I would be willing to sell; however, I am out of the country for another month. Contact me in a month if you haven't found one.
Also, where are you located? I live in the U.S. on the west coast.

Received in perfect condition. Thanks for holding the raffle!

Any pictures of it?
I posted pictures a while back, but they somehow got deleted. Here is an image that I found lying around. It is difficult to access the bar (for security), so this is the best I have on short notice.

Personally I would just peel and store funds on a trezor. There are numerous risks with holding a Cas with this much value. Fire/Water damage, theft, degrading of private key under hologram, compromised Cas private keys (yes I know it's highly unlikely). It'll be difficult and not really worth the premium to find a buyer, so I'd just peel, redeem all the forks, buy a new car , and hold the 100btc on something that you know is more secure and password protected. I feel like peeling it would be wrong. There are only 48 unpeeled bars left, and the closer that number gets to 0, the more important it is to keep the bar whole.

Woot!
I got the original Sol Noctis a few years ago and I so happy that I was able to get this one, too.

That's a good suggestion, but I can't find the wallet used to send the bitcoins in that specific transaction. However, I can sign a message using an address from an earlier transaction: -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- On May 29, 2016, in the post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1483586.msg15004658#msg15004658, I acknowledged sending 1.1 BTC to address 1FSeDLeN8Hr4UHBSeoNcNX5gy8oKFHx7pB in the transaction https://blockchain.info/tx/a5314766167ca46047297739924f091834d2e72362de61fd417c0c7126ba6333, from the address 1Mh9qhPjVYtCSNDFVU5ygNux3bXBdr57L9, which is used to sign this message. -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNATURE----- Version: Bitcoin-qt (1.0) Address: 1Mh9qhPjVYtCSNDFVU5ygNux3bXBdr57L9 IL1tHKcs00suqkSe6/Qn+EZv6r77luYv3/qPkkCxuUhNXpMD6n+rj611ZzlkC7cn/dY3X21dG+0QqhjzHtJ9N1Q= -----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----

Well, here we are nearly 3 years later and I still have the 100 BTC bar. I got busy and I never got around to trading it. Anyway, the price was dropping so there was no hurry. Well, now that the bar is worth almost $2 million again, I thought I should establish some provenance in case I hold it for another few years. Unfortunately, I didn't take advantage of Mike's offer to sign a statement saying that I bought the bar from him, so this is the best I can do. The following is my original April 15, 2018 post, signed using my account's signing address ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg55749015#msg55749015): Many years ago, I bought a loaded 100 BTC Casascius Bearer Bar. Now, its value has gone up so much that I no longer feel comfortable holding it.
The first bits are 1Gop7ok6. It is version 2. I don't have any good pictures but I will take some if there is interest.
I don't want to peel it, but I don't know anyone that can afford to buy it. Is there anyone here might be interested in buying it?
Some stats from uberbills:
143 100 BTC Bearer Bars were made. 91 have been peeled. 11 were opened last year. 1 has been opened so far this year. There are only 52 left (12 are v1 and 40 are v2).
Also, 1344 Casascius coins and bars were opened last year. 357 have been opened since the beginning of this year. They are getting more and more scarce.

Now I understand why denarium is having trouble with sales. I just got a bill for more than $200 in duties -- 3.9% on gold bars and 30% on the freaking case!

It's been like 2 months since you had your closing sales...there doesn't seem to be all that much "demand". Do you have links to transaction details to show that Kadir-66 actually bought ~1 BTC worth of gold last month? They were active for 11 days and have no Trust to indicate they actually made any sales with you even though they won I think 3 items.
I don't spend much time on BCT, so I don't know the source of this animosity, but I found out about the closing sale and decided to grab these. Perhaps it isn't the best time to buy gold, but I didn't want to miss out on these items.

yes its just a bitcoin physical coin It is not even a physical bitcoin. It is a coin/round/medallion with the BTC symbol on it. A physical bitcoin would contain an actual bitcoin.

There seems to be two choices. Either, - Alex Jones is a lunatic that believes every thing that he says, or
- Alex Jones is a fraud.

Why would it only work in fairy tales? And let's not forget that we assume in order for this work, you (with a group) have such a huge amount of the BTC market that it is possible to influence the price. Of course it doesn't work if you only have 0,1% of all BTC...but lets assume 1-10%. That would already be pretty huge.
In order to work, the price must continue to move in the right direction after the manipulator has finished buying or selling. Ideally, the manipulator would want to set off an avalanche of stop losses, but there is no way to know if that will happen. The manipulator loses money if it doesn't. It is very risky, and the bigger the attempt, the riskier it gets. Does this manipulation happen in the crypto market? There are plenty of shitcoins that have experienced huge pump and dumps, so it doesn't look like a fairy tale to me Pump and dump is a different story. In this case, the scammer convinces a lot of people to buy a bunch of coins all at the same time. The price goes up and the scammer sells to those people at inflated prices. The price crashes when the buying frenzy stops and everyone wants to unload.
