1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 reports trouble reading PIC temperature's on: November 26, 2017, 10:00:02 AM
Hi Guys,

There seems to be a new firmware for the D3
With the description:
1. fix the issue: some miner's chip status is 'x' after running for several hours or days.

https://s3.cn-north-1.amazonaws.com.cn/shop-bitmain/download/Antminer-D3-201711022227-0M.tar.gz

I'll Test it when I can.

we can confirm that this is now running well so far.

Do try it out.

i have tested new firmare but i have some hw error on my september bach ...

Code:
Nov 10 18:40:18 (none) local0.warn cgminer[4929]: Pool 0 communication resumed, submitting work
Nov 10 18:40:18 (none) local0.err cgminer[4929]: read_temp_func: can't read all sensor's temperature, close PIC and need reboot!!!
Nov 10 18:40:40 (none) local0.warn cgminer[4929]: Lost 2 shares due to no stratum share response from pool 0

This error come from your pool, when D3 cant reach pool and get work.

Cgminer seems to have trouble to check temp, since i mining on mining dutch pool no more error at all.

Are you also receiving less hardware errors when mining on dutchpool?
Do you have a normal duct tube connected from outside to the miner or do you have an external ventilator to assist the airflow?

I have cool fan on D3, with soft tube on back to extract hot air outside.

Since i do firmware update i have less hw error (Not 20 nov. version for moment)

I dont know if is linked to dutch mining.

I wrote an mail to the Bitmain service.
The problem is the default frequency of the Antminer D3 with 19,3 Gh/s is already overclocked.
You need to change the frequency of your miner to 487 and then it will mine with 17 Gh/s but with 0 HW errors.

I underclocked my D3 to 487, this did not fix the issue. However what I did do was reflash the newest firmware a second time onto my D3, I have had zero issues and no furthers errors since.

EDIT: After 12 hours of mining the read temp function has occurred once, but it is far less then before.

Could we get an update for  Claymore's CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.7

Also When I mine with Claymore 9.7-10.0 eth/sia everything is good no gpu errors
when I try to mine with claymore CryptoNote 9.1 overclocked or not I get constant errors "gpu fault detected" what could this be since it does that overclocked and not overclocked?

9.7 is windows only, 9.1 is the last linux build claymore did for xmr.

xmr STAK AMD
By default the miner will donate 1% of the hashpower (1 minute in 100 minutes) to my pool. If you want to change that, edit donate-level.h before you build the binaries.

The donation is set to 1.0, this needs to be changed for those who don't want to donate 1% of their earnings.

What cards are you using to get 700+? I'm using Rx 580's with modded bios and I can only get 690 to 700 on all cards. What are your OC settings?

stak-miner is broken ?
Will look into it.

Edit.
Guys i cant find problem

Are you modifying the default options replacing the wallet and others ?
Because entering different options wont work, the syntax needs to be as default !
Please share our syntas so i could check it ?

The wallet address that xmr stak mines too never changes... Also to mine to an exchange you need to have baseid.paymentid in the wallet address, which also never changes. It mines to your address no matter what you change the address to local and or exchange. The xmr-stak runs just fine, just not to our wallets.

Default
-s xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14444 -w 42MmCH6p1B3P7BaC3y8KcXayNcKa1jaU9RnUPKFy7SMAJrGrgMajd17WbwaVe4vUMveKAzAiA4j8xgU i29TpKXpm3xUCcQ2.$rigName -p z -i 1024

-s xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:14444 -w ADDRESS.PAYMENT-ID.WORKER/EMAIL -p x -i 1024
Still mines to your address.
-s xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:14444 -w ADDRESS.PAYMENT-ID.WORKER -p x -i 1024
Still mines to your address.
-s xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:14444 -w ADDRESS.WORKER -p x -i 1024
Still mines to your address.

there is a glitch with the new xmr miner.
No matter what pool you choose, it keeps  mining in nanopool as stock setting, and probably stock wallet...

Please check !

Yeah I'm also experiencing the same thing, It's mining away just fine but not to my account.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0018 on: July 20, 2017, 05:15:36 AM
fullzero -- did you managed to get ccminer_alexei78 into this new v18 build?

I still need to add some more ccminer versions; v0018 doesn't have the version I believe you are looking for.

I have compiled the correct alexis78 version for nvoc with arch flags for 10x series cards.

I tried to Change TPccminer to ASccminer for Skein Algo Mining DGB, nothing happend, Mining will not start.

With TPccminer is working well... but AS is faster 20-30%...

Any idea why istn working?

cheers

The linux branch of AS is very far behind the Windows branch; I'm not sure if the linux branch even supports DGB.

I will look into the link kw1k sent me:

https://github.com/alexis78/ccminer/tree/master

and see if this is different from the version I complied for nvOC.

I compiled the alexis78 git under ubuntu 16.04 VM, this version does support c11. Not sure about DGB algos as I have not tested.

So when editing the coin sections I found out that you also have the alexis cc miner, I am curious, how do I go about calling the files for Alexis CCminer?

Currently I have it on the TPCCminer:
HCD='/home/m1/TPccminer/ccminer'

change:

Code:
HCD='/home/m1/TPccminer/ccminer'

to:

Code:
HCD='/home/m1/ASccminer/ccminer'

The version in nvoc does not seem to be the same version as github alexis78, as it does not support c11 algo.

I have tried to compile the newest ccminer for gtx 1060 for ages now, I cannot get it to work. This happens every time I try to compile.

akefile:1728: recipe for target 'ccminer-bignum.o' failed
make[2]: *** [ccminer-bignum.o] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/m1/ccminer'
Makefile:629: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

It is probably too difficult for non CS to compile ccminer; the current devs of each fork should really make an updated guide / mitigate some of the problems encountered when compiling.

Give me a link to the version / fork of ccminer you want to use and I will compile it optimized for 1060s.

I sent you a pm earlier on the miner to compile but I have found a faster one for chc, https://github.com/alexis78/ccminer.git

I keep getting a database error when I try to update the OP:  I have pm'ed the Admins about it.  For now here is a link:

THIS IS THE NEWEST VERSION

LOCALorREMOTE_oneBash + additional files (includes newest Watchdog, SRR,  switch_v3, reboot, AutoTEMP, Claymore 9.7) Link

This has the newest version of all the files; and a global switch ( LOCALorREMOTE ) which works with all COIN selections and SALFTER_NICEHASH_PROFIT_SWITCHING :

# LOCAL will attach the mining process to the gnome or guake terminal
# REMOTE will leave it unattached / ready for SSH

LOCALorREMOTE="LOCAL"       # LOCAL  or  REMOTE

salfter your newest version of switch was causing problems when run with a monitor connected (LOCAL); I would recommend relying on the:

IAmNotAJeep_and_Maxximus007_WATCHDOG

to handle miner crashes / 0 hashrates.

I spent a couple hours testing this, and it is very effective;

Also even if your crashes are perfectly handled; if your OC is so high it crashes every 7 minutes or less: you are losing more time restarting the mining process then you are gaining with a slightly higher hashrate.

I did notice a bug in the Maxximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL when it attempts to lower pl due to fan 100 and temp rising:

/home/m1/Maxximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL: line 119: [: missing `]'
/home/m1/Maxximus007_AUTO_TEMPERATURE_CONTROL: line 130: let: NEW_POWER_LIMIT=75.00-5: syntax error: invalid arithmetic operator (error token is ".00-5")
Missing value for -pl argument. Please run 'nvidia-smi -h' for help.

In v0018; at firstboot, oneBash will be copied from the windows partition to the home directory (folder)  dos2unix will run on it and the windows partition will be zeroized.

This version of oneBash and files are all in line with that setup.  I realize that 2unix will also need to be changed after adding the new files and oneBash.

In the home folder there is a file called:

2unix

find it and open it in gedit:

it should look like:

Code:
#!/bin/bash

cd /tmp

pasteBIN="NO"

pasteBASH="gjjUqLXd"

if [ $pasteBIN == "YES" ]
then
wget https://pastebin.com/raw/$pasteBASH
cp $pasteBASH '/media/m1/1263-A96E/oneBash'
rm $pasteBASH
fi

sudo dos2unix /media/m1/1263-A96E/oneBash

sleep 2

bash '/media/m1/1263-A96E/oneBash'

change this to:
Code:
#!/bin/bash

cd /tmp

pasteBIN="NO"

pasteBASH="z7SH8VzS"

if [ $pasteBIN == "YES" ]
then
wget https://pastebin.com/raw/$pasteBASH
cp $pasteBASH '/home/m1/oneBash'
rm $pasteBASH
sleep 10
fi

bash '/home/m1/oneBash'

and save; this should change to using the new oneBash you copied to the home directory (folder)

modifiy the new oneBash in home with your settings / addresses

and you should be good to go with the new files / oneBash

Ive done all of this my mining process starts and then it leaves the screen and only shows nvidia-smi over and over and over

yes Smiley
