So if someone sends me BTC without blockchain being up will I still receive BTC to the address with blockchain.info?

Yes.

So still the only way to exchange btc annoynomously is to do OTC trade without escrow? Or is there another way? @deathandtaxes could you shed some light on this? I like your opinion on this forum. Thank you friends.

negative.

local bitcoins allows for anonymous transactions with cash in person or cash deposits (with escrow)

Also, people are mistaken when they think that bitcoin will destroy credit cards. People like credit cards because of the security they provide. They want chargebacks. Ultimately, even if bitcoin does take off, people will use bitcoin-backed credit cards (or paypal) because they want the ability to call up the credit card company and dispute a charge.

That's not security, that's insurance.  The security model for CC's is awful.

AGREED.

I have had to halt ALL "credit" portions of Bitcoin Road Processing
I no longer use SERVE or POPMONEY.

Say it isn't so?  I thought you said it is was 100.0% absolutely fraud proof?

Well....technically it is.....for me.  I won the chargeback case.  Booya!

Cheap fraudster assholes ruined it for everyone else.....I was waiting for the first person to attempt a chargeback....and it happened, an "attempt", probably just wanted to see if they could get away with it....

Thanks to amazing record keeping, like i said, I won.

It was me that decided to halt those types of transactions to steer away from the headache of winning all chargebacks. Wink

thats funny you say that....i was just checking that....earlier today on localbitcoins.com it stated the most you could buy was $96 worth of btc.

but because i have a pending escrow sale it locks it.  it seemed as if the sell vaction wasn't working properly because I was getting offer after offer for deals....

Anyway, I'm always looking for ways to improve.  If you have any suggestions, I'm open to most!

Thanks for your interest!

Thank you for your interest!

I no longer use SERVE or POPMONEY.

I now ONLY accept direct depositsto my US Bank account.  As it is the safest and most reliable way without the risk of chargebacks.

With US Bank, you go to their branch anywhere in the US.  You don't need your ID, nor your name, nor any other personal information about you.  You just need my name and account details to deposit.

Hope that helps you!

Are you ever purchasing BTC from private sellers and exchanging for US dollars?

sometimes, if the price is right and it is setup for direct deposit to that sellers bank account.

localbitcoins is where it's at.

wow...tell someone they can get a deal and they freak out...

what i meant to say is that its 10% more...and you have to sign a contract giving your first born child to me and i'll need that pretty girlfriend of yours for a sacrafice..........is that hidden fee you wanted.....jesus, how i obtain my reserve is of my business. how i sell it is also my business.

theres no catch. no hidden fees. no crazy shit attached to my deals. i am very upfront about all deals.

what i said is true, and trust me....im not selling my self short. Wink thanks for your concern though.

now again...i have 4+ btc for sale at 5% less than market value. Wink

Actually I think the biggest enemy of BTC are these players with huge amount of fiat capital, although BTC was designed to be a currency free of central banks manipulation, it still could be manipulated by the powerfull players in the market

Here's my two cents. Pun intended.

Who says those greedy bastards don't have their grubby little fingers in it already.

Banksters are your enemy. For now they are our asset to gain the BTC.

I fear the banksters manipulation on the market itself...I mean they do control their money.

What I don't fear is the inevitable market bitcoin can provide.

It can and does provide(s)...black market, free market, food markets, product markets, and becoming your own bank without a teller is great.

Sooner than later you will see less exchanges and more markets...

The day you pay your electric bill in bitcoin is the day banks are destroyed by the people and for the people.

I eagerly await that day.

Paid.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase not paying??? on: February 03, 2013, 08:21:32 PM
Just in terms of you mentioning an "early release": I think Coinbase mentions that you'll receive the funds BY a certain day. Not AT a certain day.
They can't influence how long the transaction from their to your bank will take.

Very true.  But that has nothing to do with this scenario.

I was supposed to receive $$$ on Jan 29th from transactions started on Jan 24th....so you're telling me that it takes 8+ business days to receive funds (not likely)?  And to top it off, I got funds deposited on Jan 31st from a Coinbase transaction on Jan 28th, that only took 3 days........so where's my Jan 24th funds that was supposed to be received Jan 29th?

Thats the IRREGULARITY of this.

They have some things mixed up and NOT PAID and I have had no response about this, and I'm rather upset about it.

I was polite in the beginning and having lack of communication regarding this issue has further upset me and I just want people to understand the turmoil I'm going through.

Like I've said previously, I have enjoyed Coinbase service up till this point.  I thought it was a solid company trying to make a dime....now I'm thinking otherwise.

You can view the transaction details here:

http://bitcoinroad.tumblr.com/

I have included on my tumblr post my bank account transaction details and coinbase transaction details to show the IRREGULARITIES.

As soon as they correct this issue, I will post when they correct it....for now IT IS NOT CORRECTED, and I am an upset Customer of COINBASE.
