Bitcoin or fiat, if your intention is to use it as a tool for a crime, you will most likely succeed especially if you know how to take advantage of its potential usage. But if you study it more deeply, fiat is where most crimes possible to happen because the security and transparency aren’t that high compared to bitcoin where it is traceable because of its high transparency.
Sometimes, just a mere research isn’t reliable enough. You need to go dig deeper and search on trustable sources so that you will also gain a valid and reliable fact or idea, and not just a mere speculation that has no clarity and transparency.

I believe as long as it never dropped below $100k, bitcoin still remain bullish for me. So most likely, what we have at the moment is just a short, temporary price pull back or better known as retracement. The price will eventually get back again on its original bullish path once a short dip is over, and I’ve seen this is normal for any volatile investment like bitcoin. No need to panic, otherwise we might end up selling our coin and regret our wrong decision in the end.

No. What would happen when i win big and the casino blocks my withdrawal and requests for kyc.
Yeah that’s the real risk… some sites will eventually ask for a live selfie or extra docs like a utility bill or proof of address just to make sure it’s really you. if you’re just using a bought KYC account, you’re basically setting yourself up, once you win big, that’s the easiest excuse for them to freeze or deny your payout. It’s the sad truth, they’ll use their TOS against you. not really worth it, unless you just wanna play for fun and don’t care about cashing out.

not sure how reliable this is, but based on that 2024 article with stats, bitcoin is still king. https://chainwire.org/2024/08/21/2024-crypto-gambling-stats-unveiled-by-casinorix/Crypto Gambling Transactions As stated, BTC remains the most popular virtual coin for casino transactions, accounting for almost 75% of all transactions. Ethereum is the runner-up, used for nearly 9%, and Litecoin is bronze, with 6%. Tether and Dogecoin close the top five. Even though the industry has a clear leader, casinos try to expand the cryptocurrency selection to give punters more freedom and variety. As we can see, 75% is still very high, so at that rate there’s really no chance stablecoins will take over. some might think bitcoin is too precious to use for gambling, but that’s not really the case as not all bitcoin users are investors. majority of the users and volume are from real adoption, like spending in gambling for example. and now that fees are already more controlled, I’d say bitcoin is still the most attractive coin for gambling IMO.

Looks like we will be seeing him again in the PBA.. Slaughter in talks with Pureblends; another PBA team 'interested'A day after Greg Slaughter announced his intent to make a comeback in the PBA, his wish quickly moved one step closer to fruition.
Per multiple sources, initial talks between the Fil-American giant and Pureblends 'have already been done and that "an offer will be sent this coming week." this was posted 21 hrs ago, so we’ll probably know soon if he’ll fit with PureBlend or not since the season starts this coming sunday. would love to see his comeback, cause honestly he’s one of the few who can actually limit JMF, something none of the current PBA bigs can really do. I think this is automatic… if a player with that kind of height and can still play wants to return to the PBA, he’ll easily get a slot, especially with a team that doesn’t have much talent. there was even a report back in 2021 that he got traded to Northport from Ginebra for C. stand, so it’s not like he’s new to the team. there’s definitely a chance he could make a comeback. Barangay Ginebra trades Greg Slaughter to NorthPort for Christian Standhardinger

This a very risky strategy to be honest. But I don’t see it impossible to happen. And just like what we keep hearing, the bigger risk we take, the higher its possible returns will be, and bitcoin is not an exception. The higher the amount you invested in bitcoin, the more massive the profits you will reap in the future. So I don’t think this is a bad idea, because if you are capable to pay the said loan, then there’s no reason stopping your plan and goal.
However, just don’t expect immediate profits. Bitcoin profits can be guaranteed, as long as you are willing to wait for years or even a decade before you decide to sell your coins.

Bitcoin is decentralized while traditional banking is purely centralized, so how can bitcoin be allowed replacing traditional banking in the future? If ever there’s chances for replacing traditional banking, that would be digital currency that is centralized in nature as well, that is obviously created by the centralized government and not by any decentralized in nature.
So there’s no any possibility for bitcoin to take the position of traditional banking. But if bitcoin will gradually turn centralized, maybe there could be a chance for it.

Let's discuss this with some questions -

Seen this topic .. [ Data-Free Betting in Africa – Free Internet for Gambling?I’m wondering what would happen if this was done in the Philippines while casinos are still unlinked from GCash. Pretty sure it would just create a bigger gambling addiction problem. What do you guys think? Looking at it, this setup really gives comfort since you can gamble with free data, that’s very convenient. As long as there’s 4G signal, you can just tap and play. I’m not even sure if there are other countries already supporting this kind of gambling and telco collaboration.
|
|
|
Is data-free betting innovation or exploitation?
It sounds like a bit of both if we're being honest. Some company gets to provide internet while at the same time paying for it with gambling services. I'm sure there are people who get to use the internet and don't gamble, which is a positive. However, I'm also sure this leads more people to gambling, and many of them probably can't afford to be spending money on entertainment, so that is bad. Africa needs some sort of development though. If gambling is how it has to be done, then so be it. On the side of the gambling industry, it’s never really exploitation as they’re in the business to make profit by providing entertainment through gambling. As long as the government approves it, what they’re doing is legal. The real exploitation comes from the government’s side. If they know this kind of setup can lead to more gambling addiction and still allow easy access, then they’re the ones turning it into exploitation.

No one can beat Bud as long as he’s in a division where he can still carry his quickness, that’s his main advantage over his opponents. So if he ever takes a fight, he’ll make sure he still has that edge. Even Benavidez or Bivol won’t be able to beat him if he’s at the right weight.
Not sure when the fight will happen, but one thing’s for sure , it’s going to be exciting, with huge money on the line. Bud will keep going, and I think he’ll only retire once he finally loses and hits his limit.
Bud has expressed hesitation about a potential clash with David Benavidez, pointing out that Benavidez is a much bigger fighter who could weigh around 200 pounds on fight night. While he hasn’t outright declined the fight, I believe Turki should put enough money on the table to make it irresistible for Bud—then this fight might actually happen. If Crawford vs. Benavidez does come to fruition, it’s tough to predict the outcome. But I’m still siding with the quicker fighter—Bud. This could be similar to Pacman fighting heavier opponents but still winning because of his quickness and power. Bud has that same quickness, and for him that’s already enough to score and win fights. He’s a bit like Mayweather, but in my opinion Bud is way more of a risk taker compared to Floyd. Well, let’s see if this fight actually happens. Like you said, it all depends on the money on the table. When the money talks, most boxers get tempted - unless you’re like Marquez, who turned down $100 million just to avoid giving Pacman another shot after he knocked him cold.

|
I reckon the next for Bud is David Benavidez, Dmitry Bivol or retirement. However, if Benavidez or Bivol will agree to a fight, this should be in super middleweight, I reckon, where Bud will have the larger purse.

He’s been out for a year, so there’s also concern if he’s still the same fighter. The last time we saw him, it looked like he hadn’t trained well, he was short on stamina, breathing through his mouth, and clearly lacking conditioning. Hopefully in this comeback fight he shows up in better shape, because he can’t take this one for granted. This fight could be his ticket to a bigger fight.
That’s still a question for now. Even though his one-year ban was only in Japan, we never heard about him fighting in the Philippines or in other countries outside Japan. The lack of promotion was a big problem for him. So now it’s a question of whether he was really training during that period or if he only started preparing because of this upcoming fight. We’ll never know, let’s just find out together.

I've read several articles about the rise in gambling addiction in the Philippines and this has also been raised by several forum members. I'm not a resident there, but from my observations the government decision to stop Gcash payments from gambling sites is indeed a good move, although as you said it won't completely eliminate people there from gambling, it's clearly working in the short term, and you're already feeling the impact.
We can already feel the changes now, so I’d say it was a great move. Sure, it might have reduced the government’s tax revenue, but it’s for a good reason, to minimize addiction. It’s different now, you don’t see as many gambling ads when you open your Meta account. So in that sense, the government really succeeded in minimizing gambling addiction. But honestly, I’d still prefer the old POGO setup, the offshore gambling. At least with that system, citizens here couldn’t gamble, but the government was still able to generate revenue from POGO operations.

Security is always a vital component.
What's the most common security mistakes new Bitcoiners make?
How can they be avoided?
Investing without understanding the basics, this is very common to a lot of newbies because they only think that once they decide to invest and risk their funds, eventually they will end up successful and profitable. Not realizing that investing or even saving bitcoin has its own do’s and don’ts, and if you’re not knowledgeable on it, you will end up losing all your bitcoin, you will end up losing all your hard-earned money that you decide to risk. Another is saving your money into bitcoin. This is so much risky, but the right thing is, save only what you can afford to lose with bitcoin.

If your idea of saving depends on the amount of salary you’re receiving or the high prices of goods and services due to inflation, believe me you will never actually save in the end. But if you chose to instill discipline in yourself and stick to your ultimate goal to come up with a good savings amount, no matter what amount you’re capable to save, as long as you do it consistently and regularly, you will definitely save and reach a significant amount after years of having self-discipline and self-motivation in order to save.
