1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: April 22, 2016, 06:13:09 AM
If you have enough skill and great predictions on altcoins, then trading is the best for you. Sometimes you can earn 20x of your investment.

best investment apart from bitcoin itself is to invest those bitcoins that you have in promising altcoins. Bbut like any other investments it comes with many different,,

I also think it will be a good idea being involved and keep some ethereum. Even here on my country I can see ethereum's popularity, but mostly , they are just faucet users..

You need to take additional caution while going for altcoins. Need to go for altcoin which is in rise currently. Going for random selection will not profit you.

Looks like someone is making a 5% profit...

What is the chances of winning???  1 in 20,000?

Double Dice?  2 dice with 6 sides... 6x6... 1 in 36?

Is it fair that it is computer-generated?  Which can be manipulated for more profit for the House.

Gambling used to be fair.

To make an Honest Investment I would Invest in a Well Known Charity.  Only expect a Thanks in return.

Take chances in Investing.  What is the return?  Who is credible?

With a Bleutrade Share worth of 3.6...  ~0.0034BTC

...I'm getting a few Satoshi's in return.

Are we in the right Market?

Just found this interesting while looking at my stats.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: April 12, 2016, 06:13:46 AM
I'm trying some investments at a known Crypto-Exchhange at bleutrade.com
(There are other Crypto-Coin Exchanges out there like bitfinex, okcoin & btc-e)

Buy Low, Sell High.  The graphs are very helpful with visualising potential.  Even Investing in BLEUTRADE SHARE pays back BTC!  They even have a DOGECOIN market which investing in DOGECOIN pays back in DOGECOIN too.  Investing in Alt-Coins may be risky but consider their value is competing with Bitcoin.  More information on any BTC/Alt-Coin can be found right on this Forum!  Read up!

Example trade...

Buy Alt-Coin @ 0.00006156 BTC
Alt-Coin Value goes up
Sell Alt-Coin @ 0.00007345 BTC

Invest a little Bitcoin (Could try $1USD worth) and see where it goes since the potential of Bitcoin was about ~$1000USD at one point.  I would suggest to save most of your Bitcoin for if and when you need it.

Paying any service in $USD/EURO(Any physical Currency) and only returning in BTC without having the BTC being able to go back to $USD/EURO(Any physical Currency) is not really a great service.
Buying Milk at the Store...  Do you accept BTC?  There are more places starting to accept BTC these days.

If you plan to invest in BTC, don't break your bank over it.

If you read any information, use at own risk.
5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 169 blocks solved! on: March 15, 2016, 07:52:34 PM
How should I check it on blockchain.info?

Let me know the Info plz.
Iam mining with blockchain.info wallet too.

Ty

I am using a online wallet from Coinbase.com and it work with all the other pool.
I hope it works with this one.
I already explained a generation transaction almost certainly doesn't - and that's not how most pools pay you. Don't just assume, go and ask them, read their FAQs or terms and conditions or whatever, but don't blame me if you find a block and 25btc disappears because you didn't check with your provider.
Will it work with my BitGo Wallet?¿?¿?¿

I hope that this answers my question...

I am currently mining at a Solo Bitcoin Pool. If I find a Bitcoin Block, will my BitGo Wallet receive it?

Hey User,

If you provide your Bitcoin address to anyone, they will be able to make a bitcoin payment to you.

Thanks,

you can get some here

Seems to be sold-out everywhere...  If they are being sold the prices seem to be much higher than the initial $25USD.  holybitcoin.com is selling broken "DEAD" miners???

believe what you want. when was the last time a gpu hit a block? 2012?

its not about amount of hash in a given time frame I wanted/ordered 5 for 24hrs. that's what I want not 50 for 1 hour. I put a limit on it for a reason.

I agree with you

Is there the same amount of coins generated on the network in 1 hour as amount of coins generated in 24 hours?

If I ordered 24 hours worth of hashing at any speed, I'd be pissed if it only gave me 1 hour!

Hi,

Please take a look at this FAQ: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqb16

Best regards,
NiceHash team.

That did NOT answer my Question.

Three Chinese pools contribute 67% of the global hashrate. What would happen to the main chain if China went "offline"?

Nothing.

It's the nature of Bitcoin network ... if you Nuke Russia, China and Japan ... Bitcoin survive in the New-Zealand computer of a small student with a 333MH/s key.

SH#$%!

When I woke up this morning I found the fan had came off the heatsink of my Compac Miner...  the Temp sensor was showing 66C and the CGMiner was reporting 9Gh/s.  I soon shut the mining program down and held the fan over the heatsink until the temperature showed about 25C before I moved it.  The elastic bands that I had holding the fan on top of the heatsink failed.  I decided to remount everything and see if anything had been affected.

It seems to work fine for now with the temperature at 45C.  I may have to figure out a better way to mount the fan.  Maybe use some balsa(hobby) wood?
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BM1384 Pod Miner plus trade-in/recycling - an interest and feasibility poll on: March 09, 2016, 12:22:38 PM
What is the overhead to use a USB controller in the Pod Miner?
Well part of the advantage is I don't have to write a driver for it, which is good since I'm already doing everything else (and probably also code work, since the guy who's supposed to be helping hasn't gotten back to me in 3 weeks) for a couple other projects right now - on top of manufacturing and hosting. If someone wants to port over S5 code to work with a USB/UART controller, this guy would hook right up to it - except you wouldn't have a temp sensor since that ties in through I2C on the 18-pin header. I had a board design about Christmas with all that stuff integrated, and I handed it to Novak for firmware but he never got around to it and then he left for a freakin' sweet rocket scientist job so it's not gonna get done in any time frame where the BM1384 is even really viable as a hobby miner, not when I have A3218 and BitFury projects already underway.

I was hoping the usability would be just as good as the Compac.  Could find a chip that supports both USB and Ethernet but adding a microcontroller can be heavy with programming and finding one that is easy to work with(Software version 7.0?).  I could understand by keeping it simple and the cost down by not having 3-5 different chips to support it that the Beaglebone could already do.

I'm sorry that you lost the resource of someone who could do firmware and software.

Why are the Compac's selling out?

A3218 and BitFury projects already underway?  Should we see a different version of this that uses less than 50watts?  With Next-Gen Chips?

One of my computers has issues with USB miners (U3, nanofury stick, compac, you name it), I would generally prefer miners to use ethernet connections.  Not sure if I'm in the minority or majority on this one...

Some computer mainboards either use cheap USB chipsets and hope that they work or the driver/firmware support may not be 99%.   Everyone only needs to use USB for just a mouse and keyboard right?

...And either way, it's not happening for a BM1384 pod.
I'm not buying your answer.
So, Novak and I are working on a proof-of-concept device which we think has potential.

October 8th of 2015... Without Novak working on this idea, I'm pretty sure that it's dead unless if someone else can make up for 5 months of development?

I hope you cool it well at this speed Smiley

Using a 12volt 40mm fan sitting on top of the heatsink running on 5v.  Also have a digital thermometer  I picked up on EBay that runs on 5v and it is reporting the heatsink is at 43C-44C.

Just got mine in the post, thanks Sidehack!

Just in case anyone else gets this issue..

I wanted to try my sticks in Windows before I set up my Pi at a later date. I installed Zadig and the special cgminer (in 1st post of this thread) but I had to install a zlib1.dll into system32 before cgminer would run. Secondly I was getting error "libusb_sucess" in the cgminer, I had to go to (Win10) control panel>hardware and sound>power options>change plan settings>change advanced power settings>usb settings>usb selective suspend setting>disabled.

THANKS!  Grin
