This sounds weird...  .2 BTC is only about $25.  Why would you need a loan like this?  I'm not saying it isnt' on the up and up but sounds very fishy.

I have a few hundred left over. You can have them for free if you tell me how to transfer them.

Yes I have a few hundred in my VirWox acct too and don't have anything to do with them. I would transfer them to you for free if you want.

If there was an easy way to short BTC, then it would be fairly easy to make money on price differences between the various exchanges...at least until everyone figured out how to do it too.

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The future of bitcoin and transaction confirmation times on: April 20, 2013, 11:20:42 PM
I agree that is a major drawback if not THE major drawback.  I sent someone some BTC last night and it took about an hour before it even got one confirmation.  That just isn't practical.   So add that to the issue with the price being so volatile and I doubt that Bitcoin will ever get that widespread with its usage.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: reasonable response to the ignorant media and comment whiners about bitcoins on: April 20, 2013, 11:08:33 PM
The media is ignorant but also the Bitcoin community can be ignorant and a bit delusional about what a "bubble" is.  I have read several times that it wasn't a bubble but a "correction" which is nonsense of course.

BUt yes the media is very lazy and usually just reports on the vague points and those are often wrong.  They just usually cover topics in depth and I've heard several factual inaccuracies myself in media reports on Bitcoin.

Ok well it sounds like you were selling Bitcoins on ebay which was VERY risky to begin with.  When you sell electronic goods on ebay there is zero seller protection.   The buyer could post you positive feedback and say they love everything and then still get a chargeback that ebay would approve automatically.

You really aren't even supposed to sell digital currency on ebay even though they seem to allow it. But I've heard people are getting their Payapal accounts frozen for selling it, so I would be careful there.  I wouldn't sell it on there just due to that.

But very sorry to hear about your situation.

Hi Yankee!

Just tried to transfer funds via blockchain.info with bitinstant and it transferred my funds to the wrong wallet (i am not even sure how this is possible) I contacted support but they were not much help. if you tell me what details to give you, maybe you can help me out? just let me know what you need from me, thanks.

I have this same exact problem. I have tried to contact you guys over a period of four hours over numerous ways, but I have been unsuccessful. I have had successful transactions with you guys in the past, so there should be no reason why this one didn't work? Please help me out. Thank you!
