Wikipedia is definitely the main target. Shouldn't be that hard if we spammed them with donations. Say 200 members at $5 each, that's $1,000 and 200 separate messages saying you can take your donation via btc. Not sure what kind of support they have in place for donations. Could even make it $1,000 in a wallet and say that there will be recurring donations if they take on bitcoin as a payment method.

LOL $1000 what are you fucking homeless? That's nothing.

It's an example.

If you didn't have a sig asking for donations, I wouldn't have thought twice...but if four others want to join up, I'll get in on this for the hell of it.

He's attempting to scam people. He's refusing to use Escrow and he wants me to send him the money first.

Makes sense. He wanted to use a MM with me or have me send first. Either a fake MM/someone he knows or just bluffing to get people to send first. He was not professional sounding when contacting me either. Proceed with caution guys.

Not to make any accusations, but I talked to OP and figured I would sell at spot + $2 per coin to make a little from depositing into MtGox. He was fine with that price, yet he has an offer $24 a coin here? Suspicious.

Gox has been all over the $20's in the past ~24 hours, so $24 could have been spot+$2 at some point.

My rate is GoxUSDask+$2 (practically the same as you), so I'm going to have to call this topic...

Maybe he made a lapse of judgment and didn't factor the time of your offer, but he posted about the $24 ea offer when the price was about to break $27 iirc.

Why would people offer you under spot if they can get it at spot anyway?

This person came across to me as a scam as well.
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Scarface Tommy on: February 12, 2013, 07:14:06 PM
This guy was too obvious when I talked to him. Ran at the sound of "escrowwww"
If it was so obvious, why didnt you tell anyone about it before it he committed his first fraud?

I cannot accuse someone of being a scammer just because they stop responding after I mention using escrow, for all I know they found someone else to deal with. This forum is bad enough for automatic assumptions and accusations.

Why not use escrow?
18  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal Need 3 BTCs - Sell Me Any Amount! on: February 10, 2013, 09:28:12 PM
I've been told by a few people that it can take a while going that route. I need to complete this exchange within 30 minutes from now.

20  Economy / Currency exchange / Have Paypal Need 3 BTCs - Sell Me Any Amount! on: February 10, 2013, 05:38:38 PM
I know it's hard to find someone to exchange Paypal/BTCs, but:

  • I will send as a gift.
  • I will send first.
  • I will pay 5% above spot.
  • I will exchange as little as you want, 3 BTCs max in total.
PM me if interested, thanks!
