A meeting with the RMC project (Russian Mining Center) was successfully held in Moscow and agreed on future cooperation with Dmitry Marinichev.
Alexander Shulgin, organizer of conference in Irkutsk, Russia, also liked Smart-Convector. In his turn, Alexander recommended to patent the smart-convector solution.

Была презентация smart-конвектора и концепции Mining 3.0 2) Разработали ТУ для производства в Украине, паспорт на оборудование, приступили к регистрации сертификата соответствия в Укрстандарт. 3) Приняли решение сделать тестовую партию в 50 шт. smart-батарей и 30 шт. smart-mini Ориентировочная дата 15-29 ноября. Estimated date is November 15-29. We said earlier that we will go to crowdfunding indigogo in the end of 2019 summer, but plans have changed to the above. What I was referring to would be the ability to control the modes ourselves. You indicated in the next quote that the machine essentially self tunes itself based on the room temperature. I am a person who runs a bank of 741's in the winter to heat my home, I like being able to overclock them in the coldest months and in fall/spring play with the settings to adjust the heating to my needs. So my suggestion is to save money and put out an inefficient miner, making it an efficient heater. The product pitch should be "The heater that pays", as that's what's being produced.
My reasoning here is that it should be more cost effective to use older/obsolete chips when compared to current gen gear. This can help get the cost of the product down to the point where it makes sense to someone to pick a few of these up. I also wouldn't launch it with multiple colors available for your first run, it has to be cheaper to buy all 1 color as opposed to being able to offer 3. If the product does catch a market share and gain adoption for heating future models could have a color option, but for now I'd say the obstacle is getting the cost down for people.
Crowdfunding is a good idea to get the capital needed for a launch. I don't follow it much but it's generally seen as more of a donation to inventors to help them get a prototype together or finance the first run of a product. Usually there are some "gifts" involved, or the opportunity to buy the product at discounted rate, or just the opportunity to buy first.
Best of luck to you with the project. Like I said before I like the project, I was excited when I saw Canaan putting a similar product together. They ultimately decided it wasn't viable outside China. Hopefully you can find the right group to buy these.
In a few words about the modes of operation of the convector: if the room is hot, it adapts for minimum power consumption and efficient mining. Yes, in the most energy efficient mode, it shows 8 THs/500 W now. 900W/11TH - in maximum mode. Modes depend on external conditions (temperature), Hotmine CM-1 himself adapts to them Smart guy...) 40 db - it is veryquiet noise, like noise from a laptop at low revs. It seems that there is a movement inside, and a sensitive sound meter can hear this noise. Yes, it is psu, but without fans, passively cooled.

I read this in the morning and didn't follow to the website. I like it overall it's a neat silent heat option for an office space or something. A larger design with the ability to heat rooms would be neat to see. The price is a killer for most though like Phil mentioned - 1800 USD is what I assume it was saying.
When it comes to being a heater - the efficiency doesn't really matter. Keeping the noise down is the biggest concern. A power hungry beast just allows more heat into the room, if you can downclock it through settings then it can be tweaked to comfort. That's they type of model I would want to see, a 5 month heater (depending on location) with the added benefit of mining BTC.
What are you specifically interested in? Would you like to see how it heats up and heats the room? As for price, yes it is a killer, but for this moment R&D plus hardware the price cannot be lower than $1 800... So a good mood and a batch for the production of 1000 convectors guarantees the cost of Hotmine CM-1 at $1 600, and for the batch of 10 000 convectors - $1 400.
