Hey, Im no expert, but I think if you were to print out the public key (bitcoin address) on one side then print the private key for the address on the other side in such a way as to be able to hide the private key if you fold the paper in half, then seal it with tape or something so that only the public key were visible until the seal were tampered with, I think that would work.
::edit:: oh, also send some coins to the address. this is basically a cold storage paper wallet.
Have you thought about putting up a post on www.bitmit.net ? They take a very small fee, and will re-list you post automatically, over and over. I just finished my first transaction there today, and I highly recommend it! I do some graphic design stuff and would be interested in ordering some stickers, when I have some coins to spend.
P.S. this post is my opinion and I am not getting kick backs from bitmit. I just like it.
very very nice. browser would obviously be the best. cross platform compatibility and what have you. I would offer my help if I felt I had any to offer. By the time I learn enough java to get anything done, I'm sure you will have it all finished. innovation and expansion of bitcoin for the win!
Wow. Drama up in here. Anyway! Electrum is awesome. I have it running on my rooted motoactv. bitcoin wallet on my wrist! yeah! Now I need a bluetooth camera or figure out how to get usb OTG support in the kernel so I can attach a usb camera, that way I can send coins as well as receive them.
I totally agree that bitcats should be working closer with the electrum people and stop dropping bins in the wild like that tho. Not really cool IMHO. I mean, yeah, providing something that once was not is good. Maybe if it was a video game or something that was not dealing with MONEY! The possibility of someone giving you a cool new wallet with a hidden worm-hole that can suck all your funds at any point in time is just to heavy for me to trust anything like that from 'bill's upload service'. you know?
@casascius That is really cool and exciting. What is the decryption method like tho? I guess if you are able to convince the client maintainers to adopt this new method of yours (and it is secure, I don't doubt you!) it won't really matter to the end user to much... unless they are like me and want to know how everything in the world works.
