1  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-11] Stern Professor Says Bitcoin Will Hit Zero After 70 Percent Drop on: September 11, 2018, 02:59:36 PM
"Nouriel Roubini, a Stern School professor and prominent economist, has criticized the major correction of Bitcoin and the rest of the crypto market, claiming that Bitcoin will drop to zero.

Tales From Crypt-Apocalypse: Bitcoin has lost 70% from the peak; Ethereum 85%; other Top 10 crypto-currencies about 90%; the remaining crypto-zombie-currencies between 95% & 99% of their value. It is a bloody massacre that will continue as almost all of them are worth ZERO!

— Nouriel Roubini (@Nouriel) September 6, 2018"

I think it will not work like that.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 -- 220KH+ Cryponight - 550W on: April 17, 2018, 07:57:06 PM
I was wondering the same thing, what are they mining with X3?
It was $12k and now you can buy it for $2k but the hashing power is sick (110x Vega).
I couldn't find any videos or tutorial about this miner, share if you find something?
I really wanna see how it works.

They are mining Monero Original. with 600MH/s.

Hi there!
Is this GM implementation alive?
Zawawa switched to NH and it seems to be not the very best news for small miners.

I hope another developer will take the lead.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: March 05, 2017, 07:50:47 AM
If no one spends Bitcoin then it will automatically become useless and loose its value completely. I hope we don't get there because that will be terrible and it will spell doom for Bitcoin.
I agree, many people say that if we stop spending bitcoin the price will eventually go up and they can make profit saving bitcoin for a really long time, but everyone does that the bitcoin will die, the demand is going to go up and so is the price and people will get greedy and wait a bit more until no one becomes interested in it.

If there is no use for the bitcoin , the price will drop to zero.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i think we should reduce the block size on: February 24, 2017, 11:36:08 AM
sorry , not all people use bitcoin for holding and making money only. but some use for day to day transaction which are not possible with real money or get discount with bitcoin. so your assumption that bitcoin is used for holding and making money is a wrong concept.

I use bitcoin quite a lot to buy things. So the confirmation speed is important to me.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: January 05, 2017, 07:03:01 PM
We should know that to increase its value our money should be out of our pocket and circulate in the economy
like in real economy

Though it is important for bitcoin economy that most of the bitcoins should be in circulation but i don't think that just because if some of us hold some of our coins the economy will be affected at all.. because we don't hold hundreds or thousands of bitcoin and nor we can because at the end of the day we will have to use them somewhere..

It is not that bad if we are going to spend some of our bitcoins but for some who are holding thousands of bitcoins they are the ones who still have contribution and knows that spending is a good way to make the price of bitcoin increasing. And if nobody will spend bitcoins for sure those people who are holding a lot will be force to spend it.
if every one is holding bitcoin and not going to sell it, as we can experience the situation currently. then the price of bitcoin will increase more and more. because the demand will increase and the supply will decrease.

That is the reason I persuade my friends to use the bitcoin and not to trade.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: December 21, 2016, 11:39:46 AM
If no one spends bitcoins at all then the price of bitcoins will rise a lot .well thats not gonna happen near soon as people reply on bitcoins a lot for their daily uses and people who want to be rich a lot in the future wil not be using bitcoins.
I dont think soo that the price will rise up if no one spends bitcoin since there no activity on bitcoins ecosystem and also this thing would possible if the demand would arise and the supply would froze then thats the time that price will increase too.Bitcoin could possibly make us rich and it depend on how much we do have it.
I think if there is no turnaround in the market price of course bitcoin bitcoin will stop, unless the market more people are selling than the demand is there, of course the price will go down. but I think certainly there will always be people spending bitcoin

If the confirmation time is too long, people will not use it.

There's something really odd... I've tested xmr, equihash and ethash+ethash-genoil.
XMR gives almost 800H/s on R9 390 which is good enough.
Equihash gives 90S/s which is also good for sa v5.
So nothing odd for both algos but when I switch to ethash I see 65Mh/s on r9 390 and no pool errors but on the pool worker is not appearing, tried ethash-genoil - 35Mh/s and still not appearing worker on pool...
Is there something wrong with ethash algo? I've used eth.conf posted on the first page...
Thank you.

Have the same issue.
Btw It's really cool to see GPU fans and speed.
Really useful feature.
Especially when you can manage it.
Thanks to ElioVP my 390 seems to be doing 28.8 stock but still a lot of HW errors...This is only on ethash algorithm.

If you reduce the intensity level, that will reduce the HW errors. But the hash rate will also reduce a bit.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: November 25, 2016, 11:14:59 AM
if no one spends bitcoin maybe altcoins will be gone, but chances of that happening is very small, remember bitcoin is cryptocurrency a great for the future
Altcoin will gone and bitcoin will die, as such no one is spending money, I think it imposible, bitcoin created not to be stored but used for the transactions.

With the bitcoin, you can both store and use it. It is better to hold 70% of the coins and use the rest occasionally.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: October 27, 2016, 05:20:32 PM
When there will be no one to sell bitcoin then we will have bitcoin will high rate because demand will be more compared to selling unit so price will go up and when it will happen then bitcoin holder will give up and sell their bitcoin so bitcoin is back to circulation again.

When there is nobody selling the bitcoin, it will be worthless. The value of the bitcoin lies in the sell/transaction.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: October 22, 2016, 04:36:40 PM
If everyone keeps their bitcoin on hold then there will be no ups and downs in bitcoin market and it's price will drop from stable stage to bottom line. By such activity miner will also quit mining and there would be no more bitcoin mining system and it's quantity will become fixed at some million quantity. And all bitcoin accepting site will also remove the payment api and lot more chances to happen.

If most people keep the bitcoin and do not use it, the price of the bitcoin will be very volatile, similar to now.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: will sel bitcoin on: September 28, 2016, 06:14:26 PM
just create account in coinbase or any other site,  there you can buy and sell  your bitcoins in seconds so that is pretty good site for newbies that wants to buy/sell like yiu

It seems that is a good way to make money. But most traders will lose money if they are not skilled.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: will sel bitcoin on: September 22, 2016, 06:43:53 AM
i think that you can sell your bitcoin through exchange there is a lot of exchange that you can sell your bitcoin easily so Yobit exchange and Bitstamp exchange like as more exchange is very good and secure.

It seems you wear the seconds trade siganature. Why don't you adevetise the seconds trade trading site?
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: will sel bitcoin on: September 11, 2016, 08:11:12 AM
‘Read Read Read and Read and then do whatever you want’, this is what I advice to newbies.

You should research a lot before investing / selling your bitcoins especially if you are a beginner. You should not rely on a single opinion, spend as much as time for reading about various views.

You can start selling bitcoin by selling it to the reputed member here on bitcointalk to make yourself feel comfortable and then try other services.

I think localbitcoins is the most trusted site where you can sell your bitcoins. Whats more important here is that this site has users from all over the world and you can easily choose a trusted member from your country and even perform face to face transactions.

I think that also applies to other famous big bitcoin exchanges such as Coinbase or OKcoin or even the Poloniex.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is good for BTC on: August 27, 2016, 04:27:43 PM

While Ethereum has been seen as a competitor to BTC, the DAO crowd sale is about to reach its first price increment and it has already raised 65M USD. The USD price of ETH and BTC have both risen. This shows that there in not a predatory relationship occurring but rather a symbiotic one. The two serve diverse enough needs that they can grow by offering enough of what the other cant. I know the DAO is still a concept and could easily fail. So was BTC when it was first proposed and despite all the skepticism it succeeded. The DAO is a valid objective. What BTC offers is the most accessible and secure network. I hope more energy is focused on how the two ecosystems can evolve symbiotically and ignore the wasted energy of predation while there is a world of fiat to colonize.

The difference between BTC and ETH is that BTC did never fork over money being stolen, so now thanks to ETH we know we never have to put money on that thing if we want an immutable, stable chain that is not prone to hard forks all the time.

I think differently. If the ETH hard fork because the money is stolen, I will think that my funds is safe in ETH.

That is right. But in the future, the ETH will become PoS. It is more difficult to do this kind of hard fork in the future.

After the PoS, there will be no controversial hardforks. Otherwise it will definately create more Ethereums.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 64 more halvings to go for bitcoins on: August 10, 2016, 10:52:54 AM
I think all of the bitcoins will be mined within a few years and at that time the miners will not fear for the halving, and it will not have any effect on the price of bitcoin any more.

After the next 3-5 halving, the transaction fees will be higher than the block reward, the halving will not have major effect.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 64 more halvings to go for bitcoins on: July 27, 2016, 02:46:18 PM
After 4 more halving, the halving will have very little effect on the price as most of coins are mined and the transaction fee is higher than the block reward.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 61 more halvings to go for bitcoins on: July 12, 2016, 07:37:27 AM
So we got 61 more times to make it more exciting than before

Next halving will be less excited than this. After 5 more halving, the transfaction fee will be more than the block reward.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kicking Myself I Didn't Invest More In Ethereum on: June 30, 2016, 07:03:41 AM
Don't sympathize with my sister! I've given her family 5Btc and 500 ETH in the last year just for being my sister. She has no clue what to do with it! Kinda tacky to ask for it back😳

I think it is good if she does not know what to do with it. She can hold them and be very rich in the next few decades.

I am quite sure about the future of bitcoin. I am not so sure about the Ethereum. I hope the Ethereum will survive.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kicking Myself I Didn't Invest More In Ethereum on: June 13, 2016, 02:13:56 PM
Yeah he is. He's a complete dribbling idiot. A mentally subnormal congenital cretin. There, I said it.

I have reported some of your shit talk spammy trolling garbage posts today..

PS:
Fuck off Ethereum SHILL you can't bully & harass me into buying ETH  Angry

I am glad you do not buy the Ethereum so that I can buy more cheaply. With your buying power, the price could go through the roof.
