Its actually reached the lowest profitability sometime last week when it was still >$300
Its getting pretty bad out there. Pretty much put away the old Radeon 7970/280X gpus and don't know if I will ever hash with them again.
Wondering if there are any more GPUs out there that still can make $1/per gpu/per day?
I might start using the 7970 for xmr mining with low voltage. otherwise it is not profitable. |

Actually.... a cheap RX570 (with less power) can hash the same vs the best 1080ti when mining Cryptonights.
My NIVIDIA farm is now back at ZEN - well it was fun while it lasted.
The AMD farm however are still working hard on Cryptonite7.
My AMD miners (7970+R9 390) are still working on Monero. It is still marginally more profitable to mine Monero than on ZEC. |

Yes, many people will likely try to sell off their Segwit2x coins and drive the price down from where we see the current futures price. I don't think it will go that low so quickly though. Since there is no replay protection, I can see many people holding on to theirs out of fear of losing their bitcoin and will wait for the dust to settle before selling.
The initial low price of the 2x coin could be a good time to accumulate. |

You are just replacing some "static" strings that show in the program.
There isn't anything being mined to this address.

You should follow the thread before you comment, he put in a detailed analysis by inspecting network packets.. Hope you are not Falcon in disguise  And pls do not give your opinions if you do not know the facts.. For everyone else watching the thread, the patch is very simple and it works.. Without the patch your hash rate will go down and redirected to Falcon's address intermittently. I also believe the program will steal the normal mining shares. Sometimes, my miner will not show in the pool. So it gives you the Claymore shares, but steals your normal share, even after the patch. We need more analysis of (disassemble) the program. |

Has the x80 more Speed as the x70 cards?
it has a bit more speed but its not worth the extra price. If you do dual mine, then 580 is better than 570. |

Kids are accepting new things much faster then adults. Knowledge about Bitcoin is good but they are not so experienced and rstional as adults so they have to be warned about danger too. Kids and teenagers are getting new infomations very quick and often parents can't control them anymore and they could get stuck on bad places like dark markets and similar.
I agree. Kids love to learn new things in this world so that they can easily adapt to changes. Bitcoin is a new technology which is very interesting and useful. Many people are attracted by Bitcoin so there are not any reason for kids to hate it. Looking forward to seeing the future when your kids grow up, it will be very very awesome yeha, indeed bitcoin is a new technology and certainly a lot of the kids who received the new thing let alone could give an advantage to them. But from behind the positive facet, kids have to cope with life in a future world that is even worse. Where I see that all the things confidential could be purchased through technology that is not held by the Government and it could complicate by unpacking these things because it would be difficult to police investigating the case. One thing that must be done is to give the right thoughts and never saw something that invites curiosity in the Dark world I will give some bitcoins to the inferiors in the new year as a gift so that they will be more interested in it. |

Litecoin is only down 2% today.
Compared to some of the other coins posting double-digit losses, Litecoin seems pretty stable right now...
That is right. I suspect the OP wants to talk down the price so that he can buy to sell at higher price. |

the price is slow down and not go up, are miners stop their mining so that the price falls?
The Doge coin should change to GPU only mining so that it will have much big user community in the future. |

2017 can be the year of the bitcoin, the future of the bitcoin is good and maybe its gonna grow so much that it will be the year of the bitcoin.
Lets hope on it, its most likely gonna happen people.
We cannot ensure that, although this year has been a great year for us because we have seen substantial growth on the value of bitcoins but the next year it will not guarantee that bitcoin will be successful as this year or can surpass this year's success. It will absolutely surpass this year's. I don't remember bitcoin going weak from year to year. Even if there were some big players that have gone bankrupt this year. In 2014, the price of bitcoin ended low in December than in January. That is only year which finishes in negative. |

It will be same as the year before and the year after, some predict increase in bitcoin value, some say decrease, even some people will say it will be dead, new start ups in bitcoin, some hacks and losses, some scams, etc....
but i was never able to see what will be position of bitcoins before it actually happened, because the population using bitcoin is not low as last year or the before and no centralized organization or group to dictate the terms of bitcoin, so prediction doesn't work the exact way some one predicts
I think we will know after this ends year, but what I know is we have a good year this year so I just hope 2017 is a better year than 2016, if we cannot achieve the $1,000 this year maybe in can happen on the year 2017, how would you like that? For sure I will sell some of my bitcoins to enjoy my profit if that happens. If the SegWit comes out by the end of the year, it is quite possible that the bitcoin price will be more than $1000. |

After too many scam sites run people money I think now they already learn a lesson and I agree 2017 will be big and the scam sites will reduce thier innocent victim.
Nope. They're never going away. There are billions more stupid and greedy people. The sites themselves will become ever more sophisticated. The best we can hope for is that the necessary operations such as exchanges become bulletproof. That's the real threat and impediment to Bitcoin's growth. There are always going to be scum operating at the fringe that appeals to morons eager to throw their money at the best lies they can find. You can shout about giving up control of your private keys until your voice box explodes, they won't listen. Exactly the problem right now. I believe there has been enough exchanger data breaches that could already trigger then to improve their security systems since they highly influence the value of bitcoin especially when they are holding large volume of bitcoins. I heard the Gemini exchange is insured by the US banking insurance. If that exchange is breached, can you get compensation? |

I think ETC is just another measure to make sure ETH permanently fails, even if ETC does too.
we have to search some other coin for us. Its called NEM, its the only way forward, its stupidly cheap right now, few have discovered it Maybe the coin called Expanse? It is a clone of the Ethereum but does not have the problems like the DAO. I think most companies will develop based on the ETH. Some of them have already declared they will be with ETH. naah i really doubt that, etc is a way better currency in my opinion than eth, it is definitely going to succeed more than just ordinary eth If the big ETC holders and pumpers do not dump it in the next few months, then it might be a good coin and we might buy it. That is right. So it is better for us to wait until after a few more months. The market seems to reflect that. The volume is low now. I also notice that the continuous drop of the ETC against the ETH in the last 20 days. So the investors are reacting to the factor that the DAO will have access to the ETC soon. The hashing rate of the ETC has also dropped a lot since then. It seems the miners are losing interest in it. Miners are chasing the profit. The price of the ETC has dropped, so the miners will mine the ETH instead. |

Falling 2017 doesn't have any special events similar to the halving that took place this year. Possibly the regular as well gradual price move helps 2017 to be one among the best year of bitcoin.
Yeah your right i think it will be the same as past year that the price is very stable and the price will increase in november to december just like before.. if you notice the graph of the old chart until now almost the same.. Bitcoin is gradually increase in year 2017 but not fast movement it will be more stable .. The infrastructure of the bitcoin has been built, more people will use it and more investor will buy it, so the price will be higher. |

Did we forget how many things has happened already, craig, blocksize, block halving. What will the second half of 2016 have in stock for us?
In the second half of 2016, we will have the Segregated Witness, block size increase to 2MB or even higher. |

hmm how if in year 2017 bitcoin will decrease the price down to 100$ nobody knows were only half way into 2016 i think and because of (halving) many of user are predicting that in year 2017 bitcoin will increase the price but for me every year is going to be the year for bitcoins it only needs some support and precautions buy bitcoin or trade to altcoins  If the block size is increased to 2 MB or higher and the implementation of the SegWit in 2016, 2017 will be a good year. |

2017 could be the year of the Bitcoin but it is way to soon to be talking about 2017 because we are still halve way in to 2016 so I you ask me we have to focus on the rest of the year.
I do not know how 2017 is going to be for the Bitcoin because you never know what will happen with Bitcoin at times.
yes it is a fact i think we should focus on 2016 that is the real year of bitocin. i can hope that that people who are entering in he world of the bitcoin i n these days are very much as compare to the last few years. If the block size is incraesed and also the SegWit is successful, the price of the bitcoin can reach $1200 this year. |

I feel ETH is heavily manipulated in the market.
Do you mean the price is too stable? I also thought the price should be below $10 by now, but it is still over $14. I will give it time till BTC reaches $1000. The bitcoin price is $700 now. The Ethereum price is $16.5 now. I am still waiting for the dump to buy some. |
