Wow that's one very big fan blowing on your sticks  Great to see! Cool setup Zou! I have lost interest a bit, got my first payment from the pool: 0,40 € in 8 days or so.. Still have to try overclocking the gekko's. |

Sometimes I see the cgminer-gekko program crash.
Only often a stick goes zombie, but I haven't optimised vcore/freq/current too much.

I'm mining a week @Johhny Bravo's but still no payout; can anyone recommand a pool for a smaller hashrate (90GH/s) or would you go solo?
I am a huge fan of supporting the smaller pools, especially with my little usb "dust farm". I used to point it to kano.is when that pool was less than 3PH, but it grew to where I no longer received payouts so I switched my usb dusters to bitminter. It does merged mining, which there are opinions on, but it is a very old and reputable pool at at <4PH I still see payouts from my usb miners. For my S5 and Avalon6 I use them on cksolo, or Bravo, or BCMonster. So check around on Johny Bravo's and see if there is a minimum payout setting or ask in the pool's support page.
Bravo does have a minimum payout, but with only 90GH it'll probably take a couple blocks for you to get above it. Bravo and BCMonster are small pools so they do not find blocks as often as larger pools, but what is kinda cool is that even though they are PPLNS the round lasts for basically 1 block solve, so you'll get paid for all shares submitted. i put mine on peercoin solo.. i figure i have a better chance of getting a block on that coin then i do on bitcoin. On JB I have now: 0.00154751999999999993 BTC Est. Earnings But I will only get this when a block is found? Compacs are running 250 MHz, heatsink is quite hot, they run on the USB 3.0 bus. Should see with USB doctor how much current they draw now.. (av 13.5 GH/S) |

I read the whole thread and I searched for it but I can't seem getting this right, sidehack. Can somebody just help me with the USB arguments setting. I just want to select 1 USB device: cgminer lists 0,1,2. 1 and 2 being the sticks my command: cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3333 -u justchillz.CGa -p *** --usb 1 --compac-freq 220 when I do this the cgminer quits immediately. What should be the usb <arg> ? |

OK I've replugged it and now they are both working.
I want for each device a seperate worker. Do I need to run 3 cgminer commands?

Hi,
thanks, today I've received the 2 stickminers. Now I have 2 gekko's and 1 U3 on a anker 48W 7 port USB 3.0 hub.
When I start the cgminer 4.9.2, only 1 stick is seen. The zadig driver has allready been installed.
When I plug in 1 stick, it's LED blinks white/purplish. The other one stays green.
Now I'm using this one for the U3 only.
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3333 -u justchillz.U3a -p ****** --au3-freq 250 --au3-volt 830
Can somebody please help me config me this setup? (and give me the commands for either cgminer/bgfminer)

Is there a pool that pays when you use a low hashrate miner? Like Antpool PPS, do they payout when you reach 0.0001 ?

I'm wondering what pool I should best use with the U3.
Kano.is is saying I'm having dust payouts (list of dust BTC rewards < 0.0001 BTC) and don't reach threshhold to receive a payout? I don't understand exactly how this works, but I want to get paid out for my hashing power.
So what pool could you advise me to use or any other tips?

If you've only got U3 then that's all you will get. I use bitminter for all my miners (2xS3+ 2x U3 and 1x gecko stick) and only make about 0.07btc when a block is found. I get that much because the pool hashrate is around 3500ghs-4000ghs whereas kano.is is 30,000-35,000ghs so your earnings are small by comparison. The onlhy thing with kanos pool is that the payouts to your btc address are as soon as the block has been confirmed, whereas bitminter you can set a minimum payout amount which gets sent out as soon as its been reached, effectively like a bank account, it will store your earnings until the threshold has been reached. But bitminter don't get as many blocks as kano, but the payouts are larger, so it kind of evens out really, just aslong as you don't mind waiting. What do you mean? That I will never get payments with any kind of pool if I only use 1 U3? Thanks for the tip! I have now set Antpool PPS as mining pool. What do you think about that one? |
