1  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC GIVEAWAY! From your friend rekcahxfb on: August 04, 2016, 11:01:31 AM
Reading up some more, and after seeing your Steemit link...
if this btc came from Bitfinex and lands in my wallet I would certainly return to them as well.
Very quickly. LOL  Grin
Homie don't need no drama Smiley

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Multiple Bittrex accounts hacked everyone enable 2fa on: April 04, 2016, 07:22:48 AM
Is everyone that was hacked using GMail by any chance?

Friend got hacked on Polo, very similar story and his Gmail pass was changed.

Gmail is yet another place where 2FA is available, and should be used.
I am sorry for the losses, but I do hope the situation will drive some folks to embrace 2FA, everywhere it's available, even if it's a little inconvenient.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethminer how to mine with multiple GPU? on: March 09, 2016, 02:12:45 AM
Perhaps try underclocking the cards a bit, or increasing the voltage.
Especially if you're only seeing this with all three of them running.
If you're positive the psu is fine(ie you have checked it out under load), I'm out of other ideas at this point, unless your cards are just flaky or something.
These things normally 'just work' with no issues at all.
Running latest stable versions of ethminer, video card driver, etc...?

If you can't nail it down, you might try the cards in another system.
Or take one out, buy another card and build another 2-card system, if it only errors with 3 cards.
With so many variables and so little information given, I can't think about it any more without my head hurting. Sorry Smiley
Good luck.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethminer how to mine with multiple GPU? on: March 08, 2016, 09:49:29 PM
Make sure you have the power supply to support the cards, and that you have good drivers?
I have a Gold-cert 850W PSU in one system. It's close to the limit but it works fine. (1000W unit on the shelf in case it blows Smiley )
You won't make it happen with a marginal PSU without going into your GPU utility and underclocking or reducing the power. (to a point where you may as well run one card, maybe two)

But no, you don't need anything special at all for multi-GPU.
If you're trying with crossfire enabled, turn it off and try. (Though mine works OK with it on as well)

I use the opencl ethminer 9.4.1.
My batch file for suprnova, for one of my rigs:
ethminer -G -F http://eth-us.suprnova.cc:3000/username.workername/93

That's it! Period.  All four of the cards in that rig come online with that simple command.
Adjust your user/worker name and hashrate to match reality of course. (though the hashrate being high/low won't keep it from 'working' in any way.)

In playing around, I had better 'luck' with my 4-card rig when tweaking the command a bit.
ethminer -G -F http://eth-us.suprnova.cc:3000/username.workername/93 --cl-global-work 8192 --cl-local-work 256 --no-precompute --farm-recheck 333
If I start getting excessive errors I drop the --no-precompute and let it generate a new DAG but it doesn't happen often.

But yes... it will "run" all four cards without the extra stuff.
NO conf file, nothing special required.

I have another with two R9 380X using the same basic command.
Windows 10 64-bit

So many newbie sockpuppet shills. Any Hero or Legendary who support Ethereum? I have a Hero member account (AnonyMint) and a Sr. Member account.
Hey, I thought you were leaving the forums until you were ready to come back with your saviorcoin?
Just checking. Not that I mind. Some of your posts are thought provoking, at least. Cheesy
If you make claims and don't follow through, very often, your credibility will be shot before you know it.
Oh, don't worry, I'll still buy some of whatever you release and make money off that as well.  Smiley

Just pointing out that constantly and relentlessly complaining about other products/supporters is not the way to sell your "superior" product.
Tell us why yours is better, and let us know how to get involved. We're all ears.

Looks like it is been crashing really hard.

Yes its finished, sell it now QUICK! Sell Sell Sell!
If it's crashing hard then it's a good time to BUY!!!
That's my take on it. Not yet though, for me. I think there's more correction coming.

I try to follow simple rules, and not let greed nor fear taint them too much:

1) Don't risk it if losing it would be devastating.
2) Buy low
3) Sell high.

Often I could have waited and bought a bit lower, or sold a bit higher, and I kick myself just a little bit for that... but I'm doing just fine.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH going down? on: March 06, 2016, 06:13:46 PM
Compared to many other alts such threads were justified for Ethereum. The price increased by 1000% in a short time. Wouldn't you call it "to the moon"? After the price collapsed by 20% or $200 Million in 2 days. Wouldn't you call it a crash?

I love this forum.
Every movement is followed by rabid posts of 'to the moon' or 'it's crashing hard' and there's no in between.
I say let it crash... so I can buy some more. I've had a few BTC sitting on buy orders since I last sold. Cheesy

It's a volatile market that simply hasn't had time to stabilize.
Yes, there have been some nice moves, both up and down... but I'm talking about the enthusiasts who act like it is headed into the $20's or $50's... even back on its FIRST nice peak... and the pessimists who always claim it to be on its way to zero.  (On its first correction on the way to the most current peak, as well as now.)

You don't understand. Ether is done. Buy now and sell at 2 dollars if you want but it's not going above 0.03 ever again, never!
I appreciate the attempts to help me refill my supplies by causing more people to panic sell.
Definitely not buying now, to sell at $2. Not that I expect we'll ever see it that low again.
Personally, a quick panic to $2 wouldn't break my heart at all... I'd snap up several btc worth in a heartbeat.

Quoting your response so I can refer to it the next time it goes over .03.  Cheesy

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 26, 2016, 08:06:31 AM
I'm gonna sell half of my ETH stash now, gonna buy back dip below $5.
Sounds a bit like my ways, though I managed to sell near the last peak, and my buy-back orders are sitting a bit lower than you mention.
I'll have to watch and see what it looks like, to gauge if I should adjust... but nothing like picking up a few hundred extra coins on a wild swing.  Smiley
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 25, 2016, 12:58:37 AM
No, I think the rapid rise to $7 would be better, as then it will dump back down to under $6, perhaps $5 again. This way you can sell off at $7 and buy it all back with profit at $5-6. Much more profitable and exciting than to watch it gain slowly.

Yep!
It's like a rollercoaster ride, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Selling the peaks and buying the dips has so far paid for the two modest rigs (each w/2xR9-380x) I built to mine ETH, and in addition to what I keep on the exchange to play around with in this way, I still hold 'some' in reserve locally for a longer position Smiley
I didn't start out with more than I was prepared to lose, in the first place... so I'll likely either end up "very happy" or "not too upset" in the end.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price falls 22% in 1 day on: February 20, 2016, 02:20:31 AM
I sold most of my Ether at $5,13 and waiting until the price goes back under $3. Then I will all the gain to buy back more Ethereum. It's a good strategy.

time to buy ..fast trading..not for long term

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App
Who knows what it'll do long term... but I ended up with a little more than double my initial ETH purchases.
Or a little better than "break even" for my hobby, overall, if I throw in recent video card purchases and total kwh costs.
Still, as a n00b... this ride made me smile Smiley  I had no expectations of breaking even any time soon at ~2ETH a day mining.
I'll be hanging on for awhile and yeah, if it dips below $3, I may have to snag some more of it, myself.   Grin

I have to wonder how many doomsayers just happen to have a rock-bottom order they're hoping gets filled up nicely Cheesy

Yeah, just keep selling.
It was a fun ride, and I'd like to get back in line for another go Smiley
