1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: October 24, 2018, 10:49:32 AM
Mining with GPU is dead ?

I have one 1080TI left for gaming, but I even don't mine with it ^^

You can mine raven coin or ETH with it.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: July 09, 2018, 12:38:48 AM
I know ASICs are much more efficient as far mining btc is concerned but i kind of prefer GPUS for the single advantage you can easily mine other coins with them especially if bitcoin becomes unprofitable.May be its time to sell them off(ASICS)

You will need some coins to offer the GPU friendly PoW. Most of the big coins have ASIC now.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: May 22, 2018, 02:34:01 PM
Really wish the miner would be updated to work with Nvidia cards, EWBF and DSTM are nice but this miner on my AMD cards seems to perform more consistently.

I think Claymore made a deal with other developers so that others can make money as well.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: April 11, 2018, 12:23:21 PM
Does this tool work on the AMD R9 390?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak 2.4.2 Compiled with no devfee on: April 06, 2018, 06:36:20 PM
Is that program faster than the Claymore miner for the R9 290 or 390?
6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-13] Goldman Bitcoin 'Has Potential' To Drop Below February Low 5900$ on: March 14, 2018, 04:45:55 PM
The Goldman sachs scheme is quite simple.
1.They spread FUD and negative predictions about the future of bitcoin and the btc price.
2.All the newbies ,who believe that Goldman Sachs has any "authority", begin to sell their bitcoins, hence the price  goes down.
3.Goldman Sachs buys cheap bitcoins using shady companies.
This plan works every time, which means easy profits for Goldman Sachs.

They will not get a single satoshi from me. I will hold for the long term.
7  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-13] South Korea Could Ease Its ICO Ban on: March 13, 2018, 06:18:38 PM
It's like a game conceived by people with big money. In the beginning of the year we saw a lot of negative news about bitcoin, and now we see a lot of good news. I hope that soon we will see a good growth.

That is right. I think if there is strict ICO ban, good coins will have good run.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ZCASH] [ETH] [XMR] My altcoin experiments on: February 21, 2018, 08:05:49 AM
That’s true Sad 0.28€ cents per kWh from Greenpeace Energy... I’m planning a wind turbine investment though. It’s quite windy up here in Hamburg...
I do pay 0.24€ "green electricity". Im gonna leave this country soon.

That is very expensive. That country worth leaving.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: February 10, 2018, 04:06:07 PM

Experimental data. I posted an extensive list of parameters for this setup on the previous page. I wish overclocking GPU RAM increased hashrate too, but it didn't.

I was really hoping I could get 280h/s out of my 380X's using the settings you shared for your 280x, however, they lower my hash rate to about 209h/s per card. For me, setting my GPU clock to 900mhz and my RAM clock to 1625mhz produces the best result on the 380x in terms of performance/efficiency at 220h/s. Sure I can overclock my GPU to bring them up to 228h/s if I increase the ram to 1640mhz and uses an 1100mhz gpu clock as you suggested, but it uses so much more power I'm worse off. Just increasing the GPU to 1100 from 900 does nothing for me. I truly think this maybe a card dependent question.

@Claymore, my offer still stands, how much ZEC will it take to get you to make some improvements for the R9 380X (Tonga) in your next release?

I run both of those cards on one system using the 15.12 drivers and am getting 289 H/s on the 280x, and 217 H/s on the 380.  It doesn't appear that the power management functions are working on the command line either.  I might try the new drivers to see, but it could be a hassle for nothing.

I use the MSI afterburner to manage the power. It is working very well.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can not flash 2nd AMD gpu... on: January 30, 2018, 10:18:38 AM
Try this one
https:    //www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Since you are removin g the card on slot1, just move tha card you want flash there. Easy.
Then once flashed return where it was.

I think that is a good idea. If the problem is that you cannot flash the second card.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First time mining rig. Advice needed. on: November 15, 2017, 05:08:10 PM
Dear friends I too need advise in setting up a new minig rig. Some suggest that it is better to go for asic miner X11 or latest.  Kindly advise if there is any particular brand to look for if opting for asic

It is better to GPU mine.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: October 28, 2017, 03:50:31 PM
Hi guys,
Considering the BitCoin Gold fork and the forecasts for future of bitcoin and it's price, what do you think and what is your idea? Isn't it better to migrate to other currencies?

The Bitcoin Cash or ETH could be a good choice.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First time mining rig. Advice needed. on: October 23, 2017, 05:10:31 PM
So i have decided to go for GPU instead of ASIC (Main reason being L3+ Availability 2nd reason if i dont get along with mining it can be easier to sell this equipment on)

Decided to go for....

5 ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
1 EVGA Supernova 1600w
1 EVGA Supernova 1300W
H81 Pro BTC R2.0??? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS MOBO?

Also what else am i going to need to run this!

Software is fine getting win.10 and will get the mining programs from pools.

Is there anything im missing?

I am new to this and this will be my first rig, Should be picking most of the kit up on Monday.

Beast cards, great for mining

You also don't need that much wattage. Just get two 850W Gold / Platinum PSUs.

I also wouldn't use that mobo. It's bios isn't updated as much and don't expect that much support. It's only 6 PCI-e lanes, and there are tons of other mobos that have 6 PCI-e lanes.

Also you need, CPU, RAM, SSD/HHD and cable risers.

Should i change the PSU to 2X 850W? I want to upgrade my rig to 8 GPU one day would it be worth throwing the extra in now for 1600W or go for 2 850?

Generally 2 smaller PSU instead of one huge PSU are cheaper -> faster ROI. If you can get the 850W at Platinum grade vs the 1600W at Gold grade it's a no-brainer.

For the smaller PSU, they do not have enough PCIE power cable. So check before you order.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Speculation - BTC, ETH, LTC, GNT, GNO price drop on: September 30, 2017, 08:30:50 AM
Last news shows that bottom is near 1800
confirmed BTC crash!

sell this bitcoin now

Where? Can you send me a proof about that? I only see you are spamming and create more FUDs while no one trust you because you can not give us a clear proof. Do you think just is some words can make us sell our Bitcoin?

Yeah where are you getting this info from? I pay pretty close attention to the latest trends in pricing and have not seen this type of speculation.

That is just wild speculation. I can say that the Bitcoin Cash will rise a lot if the bitcoin split into two coins.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Speculation - BTC, ETH, LTC, GNT, GNO price drop on: September 15, 2017, 05:12:50 PM
In the event of a major dump, which is an eventuality, What do you guys think will the prices crash to?

My Speculation:
BTC - 1500-1800$
ETH - 100-120$
LTC - <15$
GNT - <0.20 cents
GNO - 50$

Well, you weren't that close. But still, a good attempt.

Maybe after a few weeks, the price will be reached.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: September 04, 2017, 12:38:41 PM
the btc finally arrived in my hasnest wallet with 5 days delay and around 10 e-mails send to the so called support.
Answer  from support -  NO
explain from support what case this delay - NO
a simple apologies for the delay - NO
so THINK twise and be ready to for this if you decide to send btc to hasnest

The Hashnest support does not respond quickly. That is my experience.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Speculation - BTC, ETH, LTC, GNT, GNO price drop on: August 20, 2017, 02:50:09 PM
btc to 3500 next hour........

The BTC price is quite stable. It is still around $4100.
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: August 13, 2017, 06:56:05 AM
I've also have withdraw problem. 48 hours+ now, and still 'pending"....

I cannot even withdraw BCC. You cannot click the withdraw button.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dump is not over yet on: July 23, 2017, 05:20:32 PM
I think Dump is over now "for now" because price of Bitcopin was raised again to 2800 USD and pricing more in  few days maybe it goes down again on 1st august. Also altcoin prices are also gaining some coins are increased upto  50 percent from their last price.

That is right. The price will be stable until end of this month.
