1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible that ETH will recover? on: December 08, 2018, 01:27:24 PM
The current price drops are caused by whales  to cause panic and buy as much cheap coins as possible from frightened inexperienced investors. There is no doubt that as soon as they have full pockets, the ETH price will start to grow. This is how this market works.

I think it is caused by ICO dumping. So the price drop will finish soon.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 09, 2018, 03:10:15 PM
sp do us a favor, buy a 2080ti and do some test on all algo, maybe we have a good perf on other non-eth algo
We will definitely get on gtx 2080 ti better speed because of wide memory and more CUDA cores. And it will be at lower power. The question is how big will be speed-up.

Will the structure be good for mining?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency be use as Proof of Finance for Visa Application? on: May 26, 2018, 10:03:58 AM
The answer is a capital NO! Crypto assets has not been recognised as legal tender by almost all economies world over. It is not possible for any embassy to accept It as proof of financial asset. If you have such assets I believe your best bet will be to convert those crypto assets to fiat currency and present your bank statement to the embassy.

I agree. That is why I keep some money in fiat.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why did I only have one GPU when I dug mine in 7990? on: March 28, 2018, 05:18:36 PM
7990 is a dual core graphics card,

Do you have only one core job when you dig?

I have had similar problems before, but I forgot how to solve them.

I think one GPU is dead.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 Mini vs 1070ti Mini ? on: November 24, 2017, 06:50:23 PM
It depends on what algorithm you'll choose. For instance 1070ti way better at Ethash and generally consumes less power.

The 1070Ti is also very efficient in ZEC mining.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheaper Card for ZCash? on: October 23, 2017, 06:07:53 AM
Think you can use a gtx 1060 3gb and get high 200s. No one wants em cause they wont be good for ethereum in future.

Id price the length you can use a card into your equation tho.

Out of the nvidia tho I like the 1070 cause of versatility.

Maybe the new 1070 Ti could be a good choice if the price is right.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheaper Card for ZCash? on: August 23, 2017, 05:59:33 PM
7970/280x. As long as your power is cheap those cards will get you~300sol and you can find them for <$180.

They are good cards for ZEC. but not so efficient.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 Ti mining OC and power? on: May 30, 2017, 11:19:41 AM
Does GPU mining is profitable?

It is quite profitable at the moment. So just enjoy.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: April 09, 2017, 08:08:04 AM
Is Claymore planning a new release guys?

The miner is already very fast. Difficult to improve speed any more.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.3 (Windows/Linux) on: March 10, 2017, 08:23:10 AM

Issues with Version 12.3:
- Some rigs will not run all GPUs since v12.0.  With 12.0 and later, some GPUs report 0.00H/s rate.  One of rigs has 7990, only uses one core.  Have not tried 12.3 version on this unit, it runs 12.0 fine.

- Option -di detect will run very long time on a couple rigs.  Would love to know a procedure to do this manually by switching GPUs on and off.  How to map default GPU order to -di GPU order?  This is an issue because miner will reduce intensity on the wrong card, leaving the hot card to keep getting hotter and eventually stop or crash the rig.  Does the ordering need to be recalculated for different versions?

Linux rigs seem more stable than Wndows rigs.

Thanks for a great miner.

yes i found similar problems

went back to oldest drivers but i also found 1 riser had failed! I also shifted a few cards around just to see what would happen and seemed to fix it

all my 7990's are hashing with new version perfectly for nearly 12hrs+

most of my rigs are mixed cards....one 290x, one HD 7990, and a few 280x's as well on each one, 5-6 GPU's in total

good luck, they DO work and i had similar issues, so there is light for you my 7990 friend

Did you increase the intensity of the 280X to 6 from 5?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: February 22, 2017, 05:03:46 PM
I think will be a long and bounce up from the bottom, up to 0.02 btc

If it over shoot, 0.03 is possible.

in my experience most of the time when the pump and dump altcoins have rallies after their ATH and specially after so many dumps, they can no longer achieve their highest price, in this case ~0.03BTC because traders know the real potential and start dumping long before the ATH to be able to get out.

The price of bitcoin is higher now. So it might not be 0.03 btc.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: January 03, 2017, 09:50:53 AM
I am proud to say that I am one of the investors who booked profit when the price touched $400, and now I am looking forward to make another great profit and patiently waiting for the price to hit like $1,000, if that will not be realize this year, I am very positive it will happen early next year.

I think the price of the bitcoin will touch $1200 this time next year. So it is better to hold the coin for longer term.

That could happen. The price of bitcoin has already rise 4% in the last 5 days. I think the rise will continue.

The price of the bitcoin is around $740 now. That is just $40 lower than the peak in May or June.

The price is already $1020. I am glad I bought some a few months ago.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: December 19, 2016, 01:55:54 PM
First of all i did not know where to post it so be free to move this topic.

I wanted to talk about the ethereum pump that was happening, i can see that its price has dropped by 25 per cent during the last 24 hours. Was it just a pump and dump? I knew that bitcoin is much stronger than it, bitcoin will be the only world currency soon...
First if you are trading and holding some ethereum then it is a good thing to pump the ethereum , ethereum price right now is not that stable but it always range at 0.018 or 0.019 you in every 1 etheruem you buy you can really make 0.001 bitcoin and if someone dump the ethereum then wait till the ethereum pumped it again,

The Ethereum price is quite low at the moment. It is just 0.016. It might rise to 0.025 after the next hard fork.

It is just 0.01 now.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: October 15, 2016, 04:24:08 PM
I do not hope this is happening but I think that it will pump but that a lot of us will not really dump it fast.
It has a good future so why would we dump it right ?

as long ethereum is alive , there will be a lot of pump and dumps happening in it. so don't worry about it and do what i do. wait for the bottom to get here after the dump has started (like right now) and buy at the bottom and dump as fast as you felt satisfied with the profit.
yes that is right it is the nature of Etherium you can really see a lot of bumps and dumps in the price of Etherium, but hope that there will no such crash that we experience in past.

Bumps and dumps are the feature and nature of not only ethereum but of a lot of other assets and currencies so it will remain there until its reach become sufficient to everyone and the etherum is now good at its work we can expect that a crash will not occur in the future in any exchange.

That is right. The pump and dump apply to all the altcoins. It also applies to the bitcoin, its price is very volatile.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: October 01, 2016, 06:05:02 PM
Bitcoin will never be accepted as a "real" currency if it continues to fluctuate like it has in the past. Nobody wants to buy $600 worth of currency only to have it drop the next day to $480.

In my opinion, there are a select few people making HUGE money manipulating the market. There should be no reason Bitcoin rises and falls $100's (Sometimes over 100%) in such a short time.

That is true. But when the bitcoin is used more, the market cap will be high, it is more difficult to manipulate.

Indeed the more it's used the higher the cap and then people would need billions to even change the price.
But right now I guess you could manipulate it if you are very very rich.
I haven't booked profit when it touched 400$ btw, I didnt buy any sadly enough.

That is true. For the time being, the bitcoin market cap is just aroudn $10 billion. A small investment fund can affect the price.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: September 20, 2016, 04:52:25 PM
I think the bitcoin price will stay at the $650 level for two more months. Then it will rise to $800 to 900.

the fact that price falls and it may soon reach $600, but I hope not to fall further. I think this is just a panic, so I'll take advantage if the price falls to $600.

The price is below $600. In fact, it is $540 now. So it could be a good time to buy some for the long term.

Today's price is $590. So it has already risen $50 in the last 5 days. It seems the price will rise again next week.

Prices are swinging uncontrollably though. I'd hold on a little bit before buying right now.
I didn't book profit when it hit the 400 but i wasnt here when it did so it doesnt count i guess. If it will happen again im here and waiting eagerly.

The price volatility is very low at the moment. It is possible that the bitcoin price is consolidaitng, It might rise soon.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: September 05, 2016, 05:44:22 PM
What's the word on the hack and recovery process?

There is no word about that. That could be the reason why the ETC price is still quite stable and no sing of crash.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: August 23, 2016, 12:53:14 PM
analysing the situtation:
option 1:

huge dumps to come.
that means big oportunity to buy
and hold the ones you have. if the dump is over the price will rise

the ETC comunity is stuborn they wont sell or stop or give up
its about priciples.
thats very strong motivation

option 2:
none of the big whales dumps.
then the price goes up.

i think after the 2th of september we will see a rise of ETC

I think it could happen. So it is better not to buy the ETC for the time being. We shall wait after the early September.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - Time to buy? Time to sell? on: August 06, 2016, 05:00:18 PM
as the price of bitcoin remain stable in 650 USD lever for a month or so. and the price do not crash as some people were expecting it. so i can say that now the price will take another loop and will increase may be reach to 1000 USD at the end of this year 2016.

I think it is good time to buy some bitcoin now. The price has dropped over 30% from the recent peak of $789.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - Time to buy? Time to sell? on: July 25, 2016, 08:42:16 AM
i think its good time to buy more bitcoin because bitcoin rise up its price too much faster day by day and bitcoin will be more stronger and powerful currency in the world than other currency .

The bitcoin price should rise in the next few years when more people start to use it, so it is better to buy now.

I think so. The bitcoin block chain size will be increased soon to 2MB or higher, so more people will use it.
