Lightning and Segwit are great peace of technologies. But we also need to be very open about potential future issues:
1. Lightning hub - can censor transactions, can enforce AML/KYC.
2. Lightning hub - If user launder his bitcoins or tokens through the hub, since hub provider is committing his bitcoins and the way payment channels are setup it might technically seems like node provider is also part of the money laundering scheme. So can companies provide this service without legal issues?
3. Lightning hub - it'll act just like a bank, so what is stopping banks or someone with deep pockets to start node, provide fees free service and vacuum up large number of direct channels. Bitcoin community(small number of people) might think this is a issue but you have to consider average user doesn't care so long they save money, because we are dealing with people who are willing to give all their personal information to get reward/shopping points and in the process getting tracked. This will also have impact on privacy minded people.
On chain scaling is also important even with lightning network. We need to start looking at areas where this technology can have biggest impact. i.e developing countries. Now, can anyone explain how someone with $2.00 a day wage can afford $2.00 transaction fees? Internet and phones are getting even cheaper but it all comes down to affordability, if transaction cost is too height then no matter which technology is in use, poor people can't use it. Lightning nodes might not be accessible due to regulatory or other technical issue(e.g service down, censorship)
Segwit is temporary solution until blocks are full again and fees will go down just to rise again
Lightning will support offchain transaction but this will be hub and spoke model not decentralized. and it can be regulated/censored
2MB rise will not be backward compatible. but if Bitcoin cash can safely hardfork then there is no issue hard forking bitcoin with only one parameter change. On the positive side we can monitor bitcoin cash hardfork for few more months and learn from it. storage and bandwidth are relatively much cheaper when we compare 1MB 2010-2011 and 2MB 2017
Dev's need to control their egos and work together. No one is expert, we have allot of uncharted territory. Expert in certain field in the past doesn't automatically translate into expert in every field. We need to work together. Stop charter assassinating each others!! Scaling offchain and onchain both have pros and cons.

BTW we are not like Xapo or any other hosted wallet. Our wallet is software that you can download currently only on windows platforms.
Are you planning on releasing the wallet for other operating systems? Mac, Linux? O3 Wallet is available for Windows, mac and Linux. Website is using script to detect OS and provide relevant download link. IF you are on mac or Linux, it'll provide relevant download link to you. We are working on new web UI to provide all three options rather than OS specific. I'd be very interested to hear which coins you would be supporting in the future and if all wallets (Bitcoin + altcoins) will be contained within one application?
I don't even think there are any other wallets out there that provide this.
Currently We only Support Bitcoin. We have a very small team, Supporting any new coin is added cost which we can't absorb at this stage. So we are just focused on bitcoin and still allot of work needs to be done. We need user feedback and then we can fast track development and later we can work on adding new coins. BTW we have shape-shift built-in app which allows user to convert altcoins and store in the wallet. In few months time- we'll be integrating it even deeper into the app to support other use cases. |

Hi, Thanks for your interest. Our software is Java based and it works on Mac as well but we don't have dedicated Mac developer yet, So we haven't test it on OSX. In next few months we'll release software for Mac and later android and iOS. |

looks really nice, going to try this one as soon as it hits the main net  As far as i can see, it looks like a worthy competitor to multibit HD or electrum, although i'm a bit reluctant to use it because it's really new. One quick fix: when i first installed the wallet, i saw a spelling error: synchronizing (i'm not completely sure it was written like this, but the word synchronizing was definitely misspelled) Spelling Error fixed. Thanks for your feedback. No problem If you don't mind me asking: what will be your business strategy? Will you be taking a fee per transaction, a one-time fee, do you get affiliate earnings when somebody buys bitcoins using your wallet, will you be putting adds on the GUI, or is this something you're doing for the community? Oh, btw, i just realized a nice feature: good HW wallet integration, that's always a big plus We'll never be charging per transaction based fee to the users and definitely No ads in the GUI. We are at the very early stages, so I don't want to comment on that because we need flexibility with decision making. Regarding HW wallet, we'll definitely be implementing that. We'll also be releasing Offline (cold Storage) wallet with our own touch. |

By next version our wallet should be ready for Main net. Even now experienced users can try Main net. Just goto settings and switch network from test net to main net. Preferably test it with Test net coins and leave a feedback (Hope this will help users to get to know the software). We'll have to earn trust, it'll take time. |

Seems like a good wallet indeed mate.What's with the testnet ? I'm unable to run the services to test either ? Does the Github has installation instructions to run it locally ? I'd like to give it a shot.
Also a suggestion, try providing a Multi-Wallet service as well,most of the online wallets like Xapo sucks at it.Hopefully you can overcome its vulnerabilities.
