1  Other / Beginners & Help / Cant make any tranactions. help! on: October 31, 2016, 11:10:01 AM
Hi all,

I'm fairly new to Bitcoin, I am usig Bitcoin Classic. I'm trying to transfer some coin to another wallet, but I'm having problems and wondered with if anyone with more experiance might be able to explain whats going wrong:

I first tried to transfer the funds, but might have accidentally sent a zero-fee transaction. After a few hours I noticed the coin hadn't been transfered (0 confirmations) so I looked up the transaction ID on BlockChain and was horrified to see that no transaction matching my ID could be found. Even searching for my Wallet ID didn't show the transaction, showing the old balance instead. After many hours trying to debug the problem I decided to run -zapwallettex to clear unconfirmed transactions from my mempool. I now seem to have my bitcoin back.

I left it a few days to see what would happen, nothing has happened.

Now I'm trying to send a smaller amount. I've sent two transactions one with medium priority fee's and 1 with maximum fees. I have the BTC to easily cover both. However, after nearly 2 hours; both transactions still have 0 confirmations. Although at least they show up in BlockChain.

I'm now worried that my wallet is totally screwed and that I've lost all my BTC, as obviously if I cant spend the BTC in anyway they are useless.

Please help

EDIT: Things seem slower than I was expecting. The high fee transaction has now gone thru. The medium fee transaction is still awaiting confirmation, but I have faith that it'll go though eventually.

Sorry for panic, mods can delete this post.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Wallet Clock confusion on: March 05, 2016, 02:07:31 AM
I Created a wallet using bitcoin classic while my CPU clock was showing the wrong time (4hrs out), everything worked perfectly.

Changed my CPU clock to the correct time (big mistake), totally not realising that it would effect my wallet, i'm new at this.

Stopped recieveing money into my wallet after I changed the clock, I also got messages from bitcoin classic telling me to check my CPU clock as is might be wrong.

Changed the clock back to the previous incorrect time I started with, no improvement.

Tried reindexing my wallet (after putting the clock right), bitcoin classic crashes while trying to display the clock incorrect warning.

Moved my wallet.dat to another location, re-installed the client, started a new wallet. Not crashing anymore, still complaing about incorrect time tho.

Tried MultiBit-HD instead, this also claims my clock is wrong.

I really want to depend on my wallet not crashing or complaing about the clock all the time. Can anyone help me start over, I don't care if I lose my old wallets.
