Bitain is currently in BETA phase. We do not accept Bitcoin deposits and all players are offered a "Faucet" to receive varying amount of play money each time they run out. We're open to suggestions and ideas to make this game even more interesting and to prepare for our actual launch.

Synopsis:

Back in the 16th century, we could find mountain trolls known as BITAIN. The legend tells that these creature were once ordinary human beings but their greed transformed them into this cursed form which makes them rich and richer every time a normal human being crosses his path and slay them. Once an adventurer slays BITAIN, they get the curse, and become BITAIN themselves.

At a Glance:

Bitain is a provably fair, PvP, gambling program, hosting 2 different types of “battles” where players can commence strike on other players (champions). Basic concept is 2 champions (players) having life points of 1,000 each are to be attacked by rest of BITAIN community for their position. With each attack life points decrease and prize amount increases.

In “Strategy” battles, last player to attack BITAIN is the next BITAIN, while everyone is attempting to get this position, only one lucky player can be expected to win this position as the dust settles. While this lucky winner assumes position of next Bitain, last Bitain gets 45% of prize money from current battle and the player who manages to inflict highest damage also wins same 45% of prize money.

Think of “JACKPOT” battle as a raffle where you can buy one or more tickets and the lucky winner wins the jackpot. We use a provably fair method to choose winning hit and the winner becomes next BITAIN. Previous BITAIN gets 60% of total prize money and the player that has inflicted most damage wins 30% of reward. So in general, the more tickets you have, more chances of you winning!

Damage/Life Concept:

In general all weapons are priced so 1 LP is equal to 1 mBTC. But damage amount is variable and provably fair. We use algorithm very similar to a dice game to generate an integer between 0 and 100 and this integer is % of maximum damage of the weapon used in striking, rounded up. This result/integer is driven from user specified client seed, nonce and secret battle/game seed (that is revealed after every round). This ensures variability in prize money for every round. Battles usually raise between 1,700 mBTC to 2,700 mBTC in prize money. Highest amount observed was over 3,000 mBTC while in worst case scenario it can never be less than 1,000 mBTC.

Technical Notes:

After a BITAIN is slayed, server will elect new winners and distribute prize money in a background process ran by cron. This cron runs every 5 minutes (5th, 10th, 15th … 60th ) minute of every hour.

To-do List:

  • Adding countdown timer/clock when a BITAIN is dead showing estimated time until next BITAIN raises.

BETA Objectives:

  • Receive user input to further enhance and polish the idea.
  • Removing of either game variants, OR quite possibly introducing new one.
  • Enhance current provably fair algorithms to even better ones, if/where possible.
  • Find and tackle all bugs and security related issues.

Back Burner:

  • Potions/Healing equipment for current BITAINs to further “variablize” prize money in every battle.

Confirmed changes before final launch:

  • Tweaks in weapon prices
  • Changing weapon for JACKPOT battles to 10 mBTC one

Features:

  • Provably fair PvP gambling
  • Use of theme, sounds and sprites to ensure fun experience
  • Live chat and online list
  • Ability to turn off/on background music and sound effects
