1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: invest in bitcoin a good idea with ASICs around the corner? on: February 19, 2013, 07:51:49 PM
I think that if you are going to invest in bitcoin, then you should actively be using bitcoin.  Through your experience in both mining and making purchases with bitcoin, you will be able to make a determination on whether bitcoin is for you.

I think what you will find is that the bitcoin is a strong currency, and is the way of the future........unless you like fiat currency, fractional reserve banking practices, and having your currency affected by variables from which you have no control over.  Invest now.....just don't put everything in bitcoin.

Where are these people getting all this money to buy there units? I wish they would stop monopolizing the hash's.

I think the common man can still get in, provided that they pre-order a machine.  However $30k for the top machine is a form of monopolizing the hash's..........at least from the common man.  Nevertheless, there should be room for new miners.

I was wondering the same thing.  Avalon rolled out their first phase of new machines.  BFL has yet to release their new machines.  The new influx of bitcoin users and miners must be it.  New people purchasing bitcoin and trading.  The new machines must be changing the difficulty and hash rate standards.  Only time will tell the truth as the market goes through it's transition.

I've lost more money on so called real money making programs.  $150 - $1300 is not to much to spend on mining.  I just hope they ship soon!

It gives people the real power over the currency.  I'd rather have my money in BTC.  Not to mention the free marketplace that it opens.
