First, good luck for your project,

Thanks!

You are looking for a partner, did you start working on that project yet ? do you have links to previous work you did ?

A bit, I started and have been working on the authentication and homepage. To be honest my experience level is probably at the level of a junior developer at the moment. This is partly a way to get out of my comfort zone and expand my skillset while making money. I have created small flask projects, react projects, and submitted pull requests for a rails project on github. That would be the best sample of my work. If you're interested I can PM it to you.

I honestly would have preferred to just go off on my own and finish it and THEN ask for a partner because this is partly a learning experience for me and it may take some time which I am okay with, but my big concern was knowing what direction to go in, what features I need to launch, how I can compete, and how much I can expect to make. The thought of working hard for a few months going in the completely wrong direction is kind of scary.

Coding a casino does not need a lot of money, does not need a penny - all you need are skills to make a decent platform and promote it

That's what I figured Smiley
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / I am a technical co-founder looking into starting a bitcoin casino with someone on: January 15, 2017, 03:16:19 PM
I'm a web developer/technical co-founder looking for someone trustworthy in the bitcoin casino business to partner with. I have unlimited time to work on the project if there's enough money in it. I'll want a good estimate on that. Someone who has enough experience to know what really needs to get done, how well, and how we can compete. I prefer to use either flask or rails on the backend (node is also acceptable) and I am okay with either plain html/jquery or React on the front end. to handle equity, I'd like to use some form of smart contract and multisig wallet so that dividends/business spending/etc. is stress free and safe. Please PM me on here for contact info, thanks.

In addition, I've already started work on the basics of the site in flask. So far I'm almost done with basic authentication.
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / I am considering starting a casino, questions on: January 14, 2017, 03:04:35 PM
I am considering starting a bitcoin business and while I know the casino market is highly competitive, my thought is that if I did great on the code and THEN found someone experienced with the market to partner with that they could help me with the "well why would they use YOU?" aspect. It's clear there are a lot of customers, so I figure if we each did our part well, we'd have a good shot at shoehorning - at least into some niche.

So I had some questions:

How many hours roughly did it take you to complete your casino to profitability (or comparable business) - I'd guess 100 hours for the initial code at least?

How much can you make if you're up to par with the good casinos and have someone good with the business?

What does an MVP consist of, what would you need to see in order to be willing to partner with a technical co-founder?

Is this really the best business to be getting into for bitcoin? What other options are there? My goal is to make as much money as possible over time, but with a preference toward smaller projects at first, I'd rather spend 10 hard days on an MVP for a ~$100 (or whatever) per month business at this point in time in order to build confidence and experience than 100 hard days for a $2,000 (or whatever) per month business. I plan to make a few mistakes at first and I'd rather quicken the feedback cycle.

I'm interested, and have actually written and published a 5900 page book on Kindle in a few days. I love to read and learn about things and English is my native language. I read a lot of challenging books like Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and Atlas Shrugged, so I have a large vocabulary. Please PM
