1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Bringing Advanced Utility to the Blockchain on: June 23, 2016, 12:25:22 PM

Did you guys experienced this too? Yesterday I can withdraw my RADS from Yobit to Poloniex with no issue, but the last one I tried to withdraw 53 of RADS from Yobit to Poloniex again, it was gone and never receive it to my Poloniex RADS wallet. Even it says in Yobit that the transaction is completed. Any help how can i recover my 53 RADS?

You should get the corresponding transaction number and see if it has been recorded on the blockchain... maybe the address was wrong or there is a problem on Yobit or Polo. Check that on Polo you have a valid address (you never know)

We should throw a 2.8 million coins party! Smiley

i have some rads , i want to stake it, must i open my wallet in 24/7 ? or i can online only 2hours perday ?

24/7 is the best solution. 2 Hours is not enough. chance will play against you.

P.s.
Guys?!?! Regardless the price, why the volumes are dropping?!?!

on April 29th i moved 20k coins to a new addy to find out how much ROI i can get out by staking Rads

so far it staked 393 coins

i will post again on May 29th to see what the ROI is after 30 days

anyone want to post Dash/Xvc ROI in 30 days with similar amount(or cost to buy ) of coins?

or any other POS coins ?

it would be great if some one can make comparison chart Smiley

https://dashninja.pl/blocks.html
0.28 dash/day  (approx 8.5 Dash/month ---> 0.85%)

I gave my little contribution some time ago Smiley

I made a couple of simple calculations because I was curious too see how often RADS is (are?) decayed. I came up with a rough number of 10/20 coins a day (average for the last 10K blocks, taking into account an average of 40 orphan blocks a day). Is that a reasonable assessment? If this is true I think that having the 1.5% of the daily mined coins decayed is not so bad. Smiley

Hello all! I've been staking a few weeks with no issues. Yesterday, however, I minted 8 RADS. Previously the most I've minted was 2 RADS a day. I only have 1190.35 RADS total in my wallet.

Did I just get really lucky or something?

Also, my entire balance is presently not accessible. They're all in the "Stake:" section.

I'm running QT version 1.4

All good. Smiley
I'll try to clarify in a simple way what is happening. every minute a block is created and the 1 (or more -decay issues apart-) coin is somehow randomly "added" to a specific address. Now, of course, more coins you have higher is the probability of getting the coin. To be specific every minute ,if you have 1000 rads, you have a probability of winning the new block of 1/800 (rough average for 800000 coins weight in the network).
If you quickly make a few calculation (it's a binomial distribution) you can see that to get 8 coins it's totally possible but rare. But the average is more like... 1.6/1.8 a day. Actually you may also get 0 coin a day (more or less 15%-10%)
The coins in Stake section will quickly reduce in size more you stake. No worries. Smiley

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Project Radium Update, May 15, 2016. on: May 16, 2016, 05:24:23 PM

Good evening friends,

As requested, here is the first of many weekly Radium updates. I would ask that you bear in mind that the purpose of this update is to keep everyone informed about what work has been done the past week(s), and not create a road-map. There will still be some things that we may not mention in the updates until they are closer to completion.

Graphics:

  • The main focus for the past few weeks has been preparing a renewed and professional look for Project Radium. Since the end of March, CRZ has been working to develop a new graphical ANN as well as branding, styling guide, and an icon pack. The styling guide and icon pack are done, and the Development Team is standing by to review the final graphical ANN as soon as CRZ has the graphics polished to his liking.

Outreach efforts:

  • Our general plan for expanding the adoption of Radium and Radium SmartChain technology will initially focus on an outreach effort towards cryptocurrency/blockchain oriented projects, as well as other software providers.
  • Templates for the first outreach emails are complete, but we have been waiting to begin the outreach push until the branding overhaul is complete. Additionally, we have been holding off until the next iteration of the SmartChain core protocol is complete and tested. The main contingency to this update is an expanded identity system, as described in further detail below.

SmartChain protocol updates:

  • The SmartChain protocol has been updated to support detailed user accounts. Users can now include company names, website, email, address, and phone info in their profiles. This was done to make identity creation more useful for individuals and organizations interested in using SmartChain for file verification.
  • The current GUI still needs a few minor updates to support the new expanded protocol. The original plan was to wait for the new xaml (see below) GUI to implement the expanded Identities, but due to unanticipated challenges, the new plan is to implement the Expanded Identities in the current 2.4 style GUI in order to reach production and outreach in a more timely manner.
  • Dev0tion has been instrumental in designing a new xaml GUI for the SmartChain. The general appearance is done, however many of the controls are awaiting styling and supporting code. The SmartChain code needs some significant modifications to interact cleanly with the xaml GUI, which is proving challenging. The transition to xaml requires some larger architecture changes that were not anticipated. At this time, the xaml GUI will have to wait until the the 2.4 style GUI is updated, and outreach has begun.

Radium Wallet:
  • The source code for the Radium Wallet has been updated on github to include better staking time estimates, and forced disconnects from the old pre-fork nodes. A leisure update with these features should be ready in a few days.
  • The completed styling guide and icons from CRZ are being built into the new QT design for the wallet, which will match the styling of the ANN and the SmartChain client.

While not entirely inclusive, this is a mostly comprehensive summary of what has been worked on and what direction the project will take in the near future. Once all the graphics are done and the SmartChain client is updated, we should be able to make more visible progress. There are a few other ideas being researched, but they will have to wait for another update.

All the best,

Radium Development Team

Thanks for the update, this is the vision I love to see. I'll stick to my investment even in these bearish moments, where the volumes and the price are not reflecting the real value of the asset.

At this POS 'minting' speed almost all the coins will be on the market within 7 months.

Positive:
In the meantime the project progress and improves. For the people that don't know (yet) this project will be a surprise to know that there is out there a working software that has all the coins distributed among the users, and that the only way to use the smartchain is to decay Radium. Smiley

Negative:
a few big whales and not so many little holders. A more even distribution will push more people to use the final tool

Opportunity:
Looking into using the smartchain for official contracts and important documents improving the confidentiality/security (a sort of 'notary system'). I'd not focus right now on the voting system.

Good job!

Thanks  JJ12880!
It's a good way of balance the POS.
No idea why but when I change the old Radium-qt file with the new one the icon style changes but under "Help"-->"About Radium" the version is always the 1.2... I am perplex. Smiley

Hi guys I have a couple of questions:
-Why when I am staking my relative weight is far below my current amount of coins? It happened that after the first ´reward coin` was earned my weight collapsed and in the last 5 hours is stuck (10% of my wallet value)*
-Is the 1.3 wallet available? because I have the feeling I keep downloading the previous version (1.2) from the website...

Thanks a lot,
CW

*Is it something related to the coin-age and now I have to wait some time to have again those coins computed into my weight (now they are like 'burned' into the transaction that provided me the mining reward)?
