1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: River commercial on Bitcoin on: July 23, 2024, 11:02:13 AM
Yep that's a good message, instead of giving a sweet promise, they choose for being realistic. Sadly the video has been posted since a month ago, but it didn't even reach 1K views.

While these stupid videos gets so many views, viewers really likes when someone talk about conspiracy and get rich quick through futures trading.

Yeah, I still don't get why do they have so many viewers. They are almost always wrong and talk about the same stuff every day. And have absolutely disgusting thumbnails.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Kiyosaki Cautions Against Bitcoin ETFs on: July 01, 2024, 12:48:00 PM
I wonder where you got statistics about how many people investing in Bitcoin are already successful. Also, I don't think that too many people are buying ETFs here, even if I could I wouldn't do that.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: June 24, 2024, 11:15:13 AM
It's interesting to see how different generations approach Bitcoin. While some parents may invest, others may not understand it fully. Millennials and Gen Z often embrace it more readily.

Well, most people in our generation are not buying it too. I don't think that correlation is too huge.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ Sentenced, Your Bitcoin in their Custody on: June 05, 2024, 09:55:48 AM
Thankfully, my Bitcoin is not in their custody. First of all, I'm buying it on Bitfinex. Secondly, I'm not keeping it there, I'm using OWNR wallet for that. Keeping your coins on exchanges is a bad idea, I always knew that and FTX crash just made me more confident about that.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin supply shock will come, price will make new ATH on: May 23, 2024, 10:39:12 AM
Well, that's kinda obvious, supply is getting lower, and there is less and less BTC on exchanges. And I'm a small part of that too, been taking BTC from exchanges to OWNR wallet.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what things can do if i hodle for long time crypto on: May 11, 2024, 01:49:01 PM
I simply not opening my wallet and crypto news, I have a lot of other things to do. I mean, I check my portfolio every day, but I do that once or twice a day. And I watch the news once or twice a week. That could be bad thing if I traded crypto, but for holding it's working well.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENS IF THE $350 BILLION (MARKET CAPITAL) GOES TO LITECOINS? on: May 03, 2024, 05:18:51 AM
Well, that sounds promising, but it doesn't seem like LTC has a chance to become that big. It's not even in the top 10 at the moment, and most likely it won't come back. And I'm not saying that because I think that it's bad, it's just not that demanded anymore.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you see NFTs heading in the future? on: April 19, 2024, 11:25:28 AM
I think that NFT will remain to be a niche product. Most of them are ugly, so people won't be buying them as a piece of art. Trading them is really volatile and unpredictable, so that suits not for everyone either.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins also classified as Altcoins? on: March 22, 2024, 03:53:38 PM
Of course they are, everything that's not a Bitcoin is an altcoins. It's just a sub-classification.
10  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 13, 2024, 04:13:23 AM
Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?  Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.

Does people who invested in 2017 ATH fools? Or the ones that did it two years ago fools?
Basically everyone invested in Bitcoin at the time of the current ATH made profit since they could sell Bitcoin more than the price they bought it for.
Bitcoin drove all the market up and many cryptocurrencies made a record price which is good for everyone Wink
I agree with what you said. Investing in bitcoin during ATH is not stupid, look at the history of bitcoin over time, do they look stupid, do they regret not buying bitcoin at that time or regret selling bitcoin at that time. This also applies at the moment, btc in the last few days has just formed a new ATH, but many people predict bitcoin will continue to increase as the bitcoin halving period approaches. Currently the halving has not happened, bitcoin has formed a new ATH, of course the real ATH has not been reached, so don't ever say buying bitcoin now is a stupid act, in fact they are preparing for a better future, unless you doubt the future of bitcoin.

It's definitely not stupid, but those who were refusing to buy BTC at its low point and then went to buy it at ATH - a bit dumb IMO. I prefer buying BTC when it's cheap, however I can't judge those who are buying it at current price.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin on: March 02, 2024, 09:04:06 AM
There is no plan, Satoshi himself told that lost BTC is a donation for everyone because the lower the supply, the higher the price.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone have my wallet phrase on: February 22, 2024, 07:52:20 AM
Just send your coins to the new wallet. How did someone get your seed phrase?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Warning: Cryptocurrency Theft Involving Kaspersky Password Manager - My Story" on: February 19, 2024, 12:21:26 PM
Damn, sorry for your loss. I've been keeping my seed phrase only on a piece of paper, and passwords in excel documents. I don't trust those passwords managers.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 09, 2024, 02:12:26 PM
While Tether has indeed been subject to scrutiny and controversy, it's essential to approach the topic with a balanced perspective. While some voices in the community have raised valid concerns about Tether's transparency and backing, others argue that it serves a vital role in providing liquidity and stability to the crypto market.
Tether use their money to buy US. bonds and Circle USDC do the same too. Stable coin companies are engaging deeper in USA. economy and Tether are becoming bigger with time.

They recently changed an audit company to a bigger one as their effort to improve their audit report to community and customers as well as to build up their reputation.

I did not believe in Tether too much but after the Terra UST stable coin depeg and some similar depegs on several stable coins, Tether USDT is a best stable coin if you need one stable coin to use. At least they handled about $10B withdrawals from customers smoothly, no issue. I am not sure how will they handle bigger withdrawal like $20B or $50B.

True, I didn't get all the hate around it, especially after UST collapse. They always provide what they promise.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What price can XRP realistically reach this bull run? on: February 02, 2024, 07:50:46 AM
The top XRP price was around $1.9. Why do you think that it can get that high this time? It's ATH was 6 years ago.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 26, 2024, 01:57:21 AM
DCA is the key. If you unsure if you should buy or wait, just buy the same amount every month. It pays off in the long term.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: January 12, 2024, 09:00:39 AM
I've noticed meme coins often have little to no real value and are heavily influenced by market speculation and hype. I am interested in investing in cryptocurrencies that are trusted and have a strong team behind them. I'm looking for coins with a clear roadmap, a strong community and a transparent and trusted development team where the points don't fall into the characteristics of meme coins. I think it's better to explore stable investment options than to be uncomfortable with the unpredictability and rapid price swings associated with meme coins.

Well, it was always the case with memecoins, they don't have any real value besides hype and, you guessed it, memes. But most memecoins after DOGE don't really care about memes and are just trying to get hype and money, at least I see it like that. I avoid this market because of that.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 07, 2024, 10:06:27 AM

2. Our physical items
This is also a superb way of raising the curiosity of a none Bitcoin ethusiast. When Items like shirts, cups, stickers, etc contains Bitcoin logo, and it's present in major parts of your house/environment, it would certainly raise questions from the people around. Sometimes, it might happen that the none Bitcoin ethusiast isn't the social type, but when he/she continues to see something that isn't familiar, then curiosity is certain.

There is definitely a possibility that someone who sees me might get curious but there is also a huge possibility that other people would just ignore the logo and then we have another possibility someone who is already well aware of what bitcoin is sees me wearing a shirt with a bitcoin logo or walking around with a cup with a bitcoin logo in it and attempts to put me in danger by stealing let’s say my phone which is ideally where i would have my wallets on

For me personally i just am not comfortable with parading myself around people who might have ill intentions towards me or my money

I agree with you, never advertise you have anything, we live in a world where people kill for a cigarette...
People who want to know will do their research.

I agree, but not just because of that. I don't think that your close friends will kill you for your Bitcoin (but I can't deny, that it's possible, the chances are just low). But you're just gonna bother people you know and look like some member of the cult if you'll try to push it to them.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 27, 2023, 09:12:12 AM
I'd definitely go all in on Bitcoin. Doesn't seem like it's going down anytime soon. And even if it will, with time it's definitely gonna break its ATH.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 19, 2023, 09:37:29 AM
Don't really know, I'm not interested in hype, I'm interested in long-term investment. And not a lot of products are good for that.
