I mine litecoin and I am confused about what to do concerning segregated witness. Do I have to upgrade my asic miners to comply or can I continue to use them as they are?
I'd like to know this as well. Planning to buy an ASIC and not sure if it's a good move. As long as your mining in a pool nothing to worry about.. Mining solo not so sure. |

Hi all just got 2 L3s up and running last night however I am getting hardware errors also. I have had 12 HW errors in 4 hours on 2 separate machines. Is this normal? On both miners the hardware error rates seem to almost be identical. And its only on one card on each miner? The Hashrate seems to be as advertised.

I just got 2 L3 and when I power them on the fans do not start up. I read on east shore if its not warm enough they may not run but I am afraid to chance this without another opinion.. Any help greatly appreciated Thanks
If you want to check to see if your fans are good go into the settings and turn off the auto for the fan and set it like 80%. The fan should kick in. Normal behavior is to hear the fan go to full speed during the power on test then fall back to a much lower speed and ramp up as the temp on the board/chips climbs. Some have suggested it is best to just run the L3 fan at a forced set speed due to board 3 on these miners tends to run hotter and also appears to be the board where you will likely see hardware errors. So by turning up the fan you may be able to minimize the risk of a failed board. That is the theory. Hopefully this helps. Thanks Longsnowsm! It turns out on one of mine they installed the fan guard on backwards hence putting pressure on fan hub so would not spin! Ughhh.. So tonight is my first test what have you found is the best freq to run at? One of mine is set on 425 the other 384. Looks like at least one of mine was a used unit.. I am getting a few HW errors on the one set at 425 to early on the other one I just got it running..Thanks |

I reported last month about wallet not working on a MacBook pro. It will not load I get a error message. Please check your mac wallet software.
I have no problems with

I loaded the above wallets with no problem. Casinocoin will load on Windows but not Mac OS version 10.12.3

My A4 will only hash at 200 mh/s on litecoinpool.org (or any other pool) for some reason. All of my boards are healthy, and the miner UI says its working at 275 mh/s. Hardware errors are %0.02 Device rejected is %0.05 and Pool Rejected is %0.05. I don't understand what is going on that would account for the discrepancy between local and pool hash rates... Anyone have any ideas/advice?
You might try setting the difficulty manualy on litecoinpool.. It seemed to help me get a higher hashrate then letting the pool set it. This is what I use the xxx is just my password but it must be typed in quotes and coma with no space like this "xxx,d=8192" And I set my mv at 830 and 1248Mhs |

I do not see a download on the main goldcoin website for a Mac wallet.. Is there one being worked on? Thanks

Looks stable. But even older versions worked well when mining single coin and seperate pool. Autoswitches gave it problem.
I have noticed a huge difference since my re-flash I have Batch 1 and a single batch 2. I am not only stable on litcoinpool now but I am getting very close to the advertised hashrate. On the chart the little spikes are above spec the bottoms of the spike are a tad lower then spec. Before I got flashed the best I could get on litecoinpool was 245mhs on the set of cubes now I am getting 270Mhs as seen in the graph the total the top line is like 410Mhs most the time.. I have 3 miners so that is 137Mhs each cube more or less.. Also before the re-flash I was still getting many re-boots on litecoinpool but now 8 days straight running it is very smooth.. I saw no difference between litecoinpool and PH payouts. |

It does look like Prohashing optimized something for the A4's as mine has been consistently at 280 to 290 for the past 2 days. Very happy with the new results. Thank you Inno.
I am on Prohashing and I do not see the hashrate you are getting.. Do you mind sharing your settings that are getting you a stable 280-290? Thanks! |

I honestly think this says a lot that Inno is sending out jigs like this. Looking at this jig it is clear it cost them some money, time, and effort to make these things. My hat is off to Inno for putting together something like this to fix our miners, but this has turned out to be a costly mistake for them.
Since flashing my miners they have been stable, no restarts, no dropped boards. However they still are not hashing anywhere near the advertised hash rate. That still needs to be addressed.
The other wild card in the back of my mind is the concern over how they are going to work this next summer during the heat. These miners seem like they are very sensitive to the temps. We have not had these miners during the warmer months so this is a question that still remains to be answered in my mind unless some of our friends in the southern hemisphere can chime in and tell us how their miners are doing in the summer heat there.
I agree about the heat issue...When I first got my miners we were having pretty warm weather and mine are out in the garage..I was running on Prohash and on warm days they would run for about a hour then the hash rate would drop way down then new software just made them start rebooting but I was dropping cards all day long... About a week ago we had 1 degree temps and they ran on prohash much much better. If you check the specs from the factory it says max operating temp is 40c. In the very cold mine were running 29c 30c but when it was warm I was hitting close to 50c.. So if its true they don't like temps above 40c this will be a problem in the summer for sure. |

Well it is interesting for sure, I am guessing you just put the card in and hit a button? how does it get power , does it even need any computer interaction other than maybe power? I wonder what is in the tape blob, at any rate I milled out a board to see if my test pins line up and will check that , spring pins are not to terrible to buy, only need 4 connections really don't know which ones they are hooked to under that big booger on top. But at least it exists and works so we have that.
I saw another photo that looked like it gets its power from a USB port on a laptop? I saw plugs going into laptop but think its for power only..Just a guess |

Nice photos. Thanks for sharing... Yes I agree that looks like something that was put together very fast.. I sure do not see how they consider it so valuble..It must be because it has a real hashing card inside of it.. That is the only thing of value that I can think of..That thing looks very cheap... If they could figure out a way to just put the program information on a SD card or something and not use a actual hash card the cost would be much much less

I just received an email from Inno asking me to hold off shipping the jig pending instructions from them. They didn't state why or provide any details at the moment. So I am in a holding pattern at the moment awaiting their instructions.
Just curious after you have used it and seen it. Is it that delicate in your mind that it should not be shipped around? Man you made it sound so easy and fast.. Is it very heavy and what size is the box? |

I know Chris is listed as being in State College PA. So you could probably use 16801 zipcode as a general idea of what shipping to Prohashing would cost.
I am trying to get some clarification from Inno about something right now regarding shipping. I will keep you posted on that.
Do we need to contact Chris regarding scheduling so that he's not dumped on with dozens of machines all at once? If so, can you PM me a contact for him? Thanks. My thoughts on the order of operations for this reflash timeline: - Longsnowsm receives Jig
- Longsnowsm takes high res pictures of requested areas made by Mjgraham
- Mjgraham determines if a DIY reflasher can built
- If Yes > Jig may need to go to MjGraham first > Then on to Chris@PH
- If No > Jig goes to Chris@PH
- Chris@PH sets up timeline and scheduling for members/customers needing reflashing
- Fees? Costs? - TBD
If Mjgraham can make a DIY reflasher, I'd opt to go that route before sending to Chris@PH just because it saves time and costs overall. A DIY re-flash is a great idea if it can be done. But I do not see how it would save time and cost overall as sending to Chris is now and DIY kit will take time and money then the kits will need to be shipped if they can even do it which is no guarrentee. Meanwhile we are waiting when cards could be getting flashed... Every day that the jig is not working is time waisted. My personal felling is it is better to get everyone re-flashed first. Then once there is no more demand for Prohash service I am sure he would be happy to ship the jig back to whoever for the purpose of studing the Jig and making a DIY kit.. But I think its more practical to get everyone fixed asap. |
