Down the road into a bear market what can a new miner except from a 500MH mining farm? How incredibly bad can this get? 5$? 8$? Asking those who are here before in 2018 so I can know what's awaiting me.

IF NO SOURCE CODE , NOT OPEN SOURCE PROJECT, FORGET ABOPUT THOSE JUNKS NEVER RUN ANY .EXE FILE ,OR IF YOU DO USE WIRESHARK OR SOMETHING SIMILLAR TO ANALYZE what your freshly installed junk doing on your network . if you running something like this on a pc , where you keep important information about your wallet , don't be surprised if all of your hard mined coin going to disappear . ...or your valid shares decline , bc your miner going to mine for somebody else ! Coin price up its mean scammers targeting miners, especially newbies with a promise to save on dev fee . Lucky me , never sold any of my old RX480/RX580 cards from 2017/2018 , mined through the crypto winter from early 2018 till mid 2020 , when prices went down and stayed down , mined with full capacity, All those old rx480/rx580 are still mining ( of course lost some bc they failed and i wasnt able to repair them ) Im not a big miner , but still have all my old gpus ,and some RTX 3060/3070/3080/3090, some ASIC's , including some Antminer E3 those are still mining ETC with full capacity all this is in my home made shed . Did this as a business , so yes I had some capital loss instead of gain , but all this worked perfectly fine with my tax returns , bull market hit , made more money from those coins I ever imagined in my life . That's my story ... and I'm still not selling any of my old RX480/RX580 |

He didn´t open the miner XD. As i said, no one open the miner and show us the RAM. I only see one review, in this review i can´t see any RAM on the board, only some ASIC chips. Vosk did not check the internet traffic, but ok i warned enough. A new company came out and deliver a new miner multiply times more efficent than every other existing miner, surely true - absolute no brainer or are other companies like Innosilicon and Bitmain are to stupid to build such Asic - sure  How do you know they don't have probably much better hardware than Jasminer ? They probably much smarter , and mining with the new hardware for themselves , then when they developed newer than the new ones selling the " old new ones" to the public Or anyone saw a bigger number of this miner? I only see everytime 1 miner. On the side you only can do Bulk Order - after i email them - i can get any amount of this miner - immediatly - also a red flag. i only see red flags.
How can anyone blinded by some numbers? I'm slowly losing faith in humanity, I've lost faith in this forum for a long time. All blindly follow some youtubers, they getting money for the review dudes.

Power Supply If anyone could help answer my questions, it would be greatly appreciated, 1) How do you calculate the number of watts needed for your GPUs? In my case, I want to power two GPUs that require a total of 400 watts. So then do I buy a 500w power supply to cover my needs running at 80% efficiency. what is that 2xGPU's you want to power and need 400watts all together 2) If I build my rig with modularity in mind, would it be safe to assume that I need to purchase another 500w power supply to support another two 3060ti GPUs. So on and so forth with every two GPUs ' you mean you have two rtx3060ti already and want to add 2 more rtx 3060ti ?3) Should I only trust 80 Plus certified power supplies or can I cheap out for a Chinese model? 80plus certified power supply can be made in china also even from brand names ... 2x3060ti gpu during mining , without proper fine tune , can consume a little bit over 200 watts each , with the right settings you can push down the power usage to around 100-125 watts/each card So if you need a psu for 4x3060ti , and you are not familiar with the right power settings , i would suggest you to buy a 1000 watts psu for your 4x3060ti+motherboard+mem+hdd as someone mentioned before , dont try to save money on PSU , the PSU is very very important in you case |

Yeah its absolutely make sense to solo mine ETH with ASIC , the question is what kind of asic you have for solo mining If you have a few Bitmain Antminer E9 (3Gh) , go ahead and mine solo , but if you have something with less hashrate , better if you joining to a mining pool with your asic hardware. Just a side note , those E9 ASIC miners is around 30.000$ each as of right now still cheaper than build a 3GH mining farm from 30-32 rtx 3080 cards , or 26 rtx3090 cards Good luck with your solo mining adventure , and good luck to get those 30k+ ASIC hardware's get a few , just plug it in , and let it run , abandon them for a few years |

Ordered one of this from the 1800 watts series in 2018 December , it was listed on amazon as a "Power Supply, 1800W Switching Power Supply 90% High Efficiency for Ethereum S9 S7 L3 Rig Mining 180-240V"
The only reason i ordered a no name psu for my rigs , bc i ran out from my spare/backup psu's , and i had to get one asap. (Im Using only evga 1600T2 for all my Builds) , around this time evga 1600t2 psu's was hard to get , and they price hoovered around 6-800$,
so i decided to give a chance to this Chinese made psu .
This psu is running without any issues in the past over 3 years now , its not in a ac cooled mining facility , its in my home built mining shed , with filtered outside air circulation , hot humid summer , where temp is over 39C s , mid winter temp never going under 0 Celsius.
I have zero issues with this psu as of now , after over a 3 years of 24/7 usage .

This is an approximate electricity consumption in my apartment, and I pay about $ 50 a month for it.
Such electricity consumption can be provided by 2 conventional room air conditioners.
In private houses, it is allowed to consume up to 15,000 watts per hour, so for me this is a very small value.

At Ethereum block height 13,773,000 the network will implement the Arrow Glacier upgrade which aims to postpone Ethereum’s Difficulty Bomb. The Arrow Glacier network upgrade will go into effect around 10 December, delaying the “difficulty bomb”, an increase in mining difficulty, until June 2022 as the blockchain transitions from proof-of-work (PoW) mining to PoS. The Difficulty Bomb was supposed to happen 4,000,000 blocks or 611 days after the Muir Glacier network upgrade. However, Arrow Glacier will push the bomb back further to June 2022. This will give ethereum PoW miners another six months to continue mining the Ethereum blockchain until the June 2022 change. Once the Difficulty Bomb does happen the mining difficulty will make it so PoW miners get phased out because it will be too difficult. |

1500w is small, you can still fit ~3000w in a THHN AWG 14 at 220V.
1500w is just around 1.5hp of AC a refrigerator and a few lights.
average heavy duty extension cords are rated at 2500w LOL.
So your AC compressor is running 24/7 all year long , your " few light bulbs" are on for 24/7 all year long , and your fridge compressor is running 24/7 all year long  , and all this happening in a small apartment right ? LOLSo your continuous power usage in that "small apartment" , just from the AC / Fridge / few light , is 1500watts 24/7 all year long, and using just this 3 things in that apartment, you paying around 133$ / months ( calculated with 12cents/kwh) just for the AC / few lamps / and a fridge ? 1500 watts 24/7 is not much for industrial usage that's for sure , but for a small / reg size apartment ? That's 36kwh/day (4.32$) , 252kwh/week (30.24$) , 1080kwh/months (129.6$) , 13104kwh/year (1572$) Compare this usage with a world wide average ( especially for a small / reg size apartment ) , its not small at all , its actually more than the US typical household power consumption / year , and doubled what is the average in bigger European countries household power consumption / year . From 2010 data : In the US typical household power consumption is about 11,700 kWh each year, in France it is 6,400 kWh, in the UK it is 4,600 kWh and in China around 1,300 kWh. 1500 watts , 24 hours per day , 7 days per week , 365 days/52 weeks per year is not a small amount of electricity !!! 36kwh/day , 252 kwh/week , 13104 kwh/year , and beside this usage he/she already using the average amount of electricity for that area , so its a extra That 13104kw/year , can be around 1600$/year in average us electricity price , and i would not call that as a small amount of electricity usage even in a hot country For education purpose HERE is a LINK or HERE (older stat) about average electricity usage from all over the word , especially I would suggest you to check out those " hot countries " usage vs Canada ! You will be surprised and you might can learn something new .... And don't forget , google can be your best friend before posting something and want to make sure you posting the right information not some BS ...
