Dash pissed away its store of value proposition. It turns out masternode don't work
[/quote]

Indeed, Dash has lost all credibility in terms of being a store of value, and therefore as a means of payment.

Nobody in their right mind will change dollars to Venezuelan Bolívares to spend them in Venezuela. And that happens with Dash, no one will change their BTC to Dash to use them as a means of payment. People prefer to pay more commissions and secure their capital, rather than investing in a currency that is constantly depreciating against BTC.

It is true that the MN continue to vote against their interests, it is something incredible and out of all sense. It should be studied in economics universities.

Anyone who has invested long-term capital in Dash from $1,500 to now has practically been ruined, and what is striking is that the MN continue to support those who have ruined them...even though it is the MN themselves who have ruined themselves. to themselves.

On the other hand, not even a general run bull is capable of raising the price. Between miner sales, treasury sales, and MN sales to the market the dilution does not offset what Dash offers right now.

Think about it, reconsider what you want Dash to be... a joke currency without capitalization?

o A currency with future appreciation potential that people value and hoard to spend at the right time?

Do not finance anyone, except for the exceptions of people with a good project and only for product deliveries or milestones. No advance money to throw it away as is done now. Payments in 30, 60, 90 or 120 days depending on the work shown and the results.

Greetings, health and evolution.

Damn its sad to see this coin so down in the dust ... What happened here? Corporate sabotage? Ordinals are popping off creating a renaissance in the btc space and Dash just a former shell of itself.

This currency has become, like many others, the eternal promise that will solve everything for everyone.

It will be instant payment, low commissions, it will have a private option, it will give interest to its holders, it will have a platform...

A long time ago I warned that this would happen, and I told how to avoid it. Obviously, no one cared, and now we are already a junk coin in 210th place in coingecko.

Why are we a junk currency?

We are because every medium and long-term investor has lost money in this decision,

Look at LTC, BCH, Doge, even BSV... why do they have such an advantage over us?

Even Monero receiving the punishment of delisting from many exchanges far surpasses us. because?

Easy, Dash is a currency that only attracts vermin looking to make easy money.

People who promise to do great things for Dash and are only looking to eat their piece of the pie and quickly sell their prize for cheating.

Many years ago I said that if all the treasure had been burned instead of giving it away to unscrupulous people, we would be in the top 50 for sure now.

On the contrary, they prefer to continue delivering dash to reduce the market price day after day without getting anything in return.

Make a proposal to eliminate Dash's treasure, leave the currency as it is and you will see how little by little it will gain traction.

Stop the stupid dreams and platforms that no one will use, cut the payment to MN in half... make getting a single dash actually expensive, and see what happens.

Since I know that they will not do any of this, what I now assure you is that before a couple of years, dash will be worth less than $10, since the death spiral for these absurd financings increasingly requires selling more dash at a lower price. price.

Greetings, and since you will never be rich, at least I wish you health, and that you have learned a valuable lesson.

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!

congratulations on these 10 years of existence.

We are at 2017 prices after a supposedly magnificent development that no one uses and goes unnoticed by the crypto community.

We have spent hundreds of thousands of treasury dollars on useless proposals and DCG games.

We have bled a blockchain to death without giving it any added value.

Meanwhile, chains like ETH have left PoW and now live off the feeds generated by their ecosystem, so they do not bleed the chain.

A great tenth anniversary. Hundreds of faces have passed through dash to squeeze the orange, but hardly any have remained as soon as the funds have run out.

This only has one way of being, and it surely seems exaggerated to you. But the only way for this to work is to only finance the projects once they are finished. Starting with DCG.

If you give something you receive something, if you only dedicate yourself to filling rooms with smoke and dreams, you will be paid with imaginary money.

Better that the treasury increase until noble and hard-working people appear, than to give the funds to absurd ideas that often are not carried out, or end up in the trash.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: January 16, 2024, 11:14:11 AM
more than 300 pairs of exchange of Dash with fiat, stablecoins, and other cryptographies.

Average daily volume of more than 300 million dollars.

A daily average that exceeds 10,000 transactions.

You may be right, but not only capitalization will mark whether a coin is used or not.

What if I accept and share, is that if the capitalization does not gain traction, the financing will get worse and worse, and therefore the media will be reduced entering a death spiral.

Imagine Dash at $ 10. It may not disappear, but I doubt that Ryan can afford his monthly luxuries at those prices, he will abandon ship and look for another project that allows him to improve his situation.

In the meantime, the master nodes will have been ruined, and the mine will have been abandoned for being unprofitable.

Will this happen?

Ryan will have gone to the Caribbean a long time ago to enjoy his great work at Dash
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 02, 2023, 10:08:06 AM
Dash's valuation performance has clearly been a disaster. The excuse that we have experienced a bearish period is not valid, since we have lost more than 30 positions of capitalization. in a few months

The currency works perfectly, so nothing can be blamed on this part, however the social interest in acquiring, possessing, or using dash is minimal.

New users to this universe are not only not interested in Dash, they don't even know it exists.

What was a top 5 years ago is now approaching position 150 in the market, and is at historic lows with respect to BTC.

Nothing that would not have been anticipated here. It doesn't matter if there are internal fights between nodes or super nodes, if DCG deserves a vote of confidence or not...

The biggest problem I see is that being a currency with usability well above average, no one uses it. And that is our failure.

I keep my node purchased many years ago at $15 and assume that I will soon lose that investment. It is a lesser evil, especially considering those people who trusted Dash investing at $500, $250 or even $80... prices that I highly doubt we will see again unless real interest is generated in the asset.

good luck, I'll go back to $15 or $100
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 14, 2023, 07:27:53 AM

It seems that time has shown that Dash's real problem is inside him... in his own core.

When a cancer cell begins to grow, it is completely unaware that it will end up killing the human where it lives, and the cell itself will also die.

Something similar happens here, since it is assumed that without the existence of DCG Dash would be meaningless, and yet I believe that if DCG did not exist and the funds that have been dedicated to it for years were simply "destroyed", Dash would be in a most favorable position in terms of budget.

$175,000 a month is enough to buy a small apartment in many places in the world. It also helps maintain many programmers. In Eastern Europe the average salary of a worker is around $1,500 for working about eight hours a day.

I remember when Ryan teased us all with Dash's new look that cost thousands of dollars and could have been done by a kid with a free image treatment program.

Now it seems that they want to continue teasing us by stating that everything will be ready soon.

As far as I'm concerned, the only logical proposal I would approve right now is the disappearance of all funding for DCG blackmailers.

If this tumor continues to be fed, we all know how this coin that one day shone at the top and that is now trying to survive a mortal wound will end.

Do what you think is best for Dash, not DCG.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: July 19, 2023, 07:23:03 AM
qwizzie I respect what you write, and I appreciate that there are people like you fighting to make Dash known.

But the evidence is painful. I have tested many coins over time, and yes Dash works as a payment method, but admittedly almost nobody cares that it works as they can use USDT, USDC, in a similar way. I myself tried the Tron network months ago and it goes very fast and at very low costs... it is clear that it is a centralized network like XRP, but that seems to not matter to anyone in the world of total centralization.

It is also painful to see how LTC, Doge, BCH, BSV... stay up even without innovating too much. I think this is due, as I said before, to the fact that there are large interests covering the currency, while Dash is a "small" people's currency without whales positioned on exchanges such as Binance, Kraken, Coinbase... while the others are largely sustain by those exchanges.

Many think that the bull market will return in 2024, and I believe that in 2024 there will be a big decline, not only in cryptocurrencies, but also in the stock markets.

If we think about the possibility of BTC going below $20,000, it is quite obvious that Dash would be around $15 possibly. This would almost take us back to Evan's time, having spent millions on quotes, coded thousands of hours, and marketed hundreds of thousands.

What has all this been for?

Where would Dash be if he hadn't done any of this?

I do not intend to annoy anyone with these words, I'm just looking for reflection and to understand that things have gone very wrong over the years. You can't promise smoke over and over and expect people to clap and run to buy Dash. We need facts, and I hope that this 2023 those facts will arrive at once for the good of all those involved.

A greeting and health.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: July 18, 2023, 03:12:13 PM

Well, once again we were right when we said that Dash would leave the top 100, we now have it at 105 in coingecko.

The bad thing is not being at 105, the bad thing is that we have not stopped falling for years.

They say that the market is sovereign and in the long term it is never wrong, in the case of Dash, it hurts to see reality, but it is what we have.

Even the joke of BSV or ETC, they sweep us in capitalization.

I guess at the time we didn't get big whales to position themselves on Dash, and now we just have a price that bleeds and no one argues because no one knows Dash anymore.

who going to buy a coin located in position 105, that does not stop declining, and that has proven to be not a good way to invest?

Better to safeguard wealth by investing in BTC, ETH, or even the centralized joke of XRP, where whales take care of their investors.

I continue with my master node that I said I would not sell, and it continues to be so. Worse, thank goodness that at the time I diversified and sent part of my Dash to physical gold.

Remember when I commented that we should use the DIF to buy gold?...it seems that they were not interested in giving each Dash an intrinsic value in gold. Today each Dash could have an intrinsic value of about $20 if they had listened to me, but they preferred to send funds to Venezuela, where they don't even know what Dash is anymore.

It is clear that the MN do not know how to vote, and that the transcendental decisions on the economy should not fall on people who know little or nothing about investing and making profits.

On the other hand, I have been hearing for years that EVO is ready, and the only thing that is ready is the demolition of Dash.

I'm sure that somewhere a man named Ryan is laughing over a drink sitting on a pile of very honestly earned money running DCG.

We have what we deserve, don't forget that.

Is it too late?... We are about the point of no return, and you all know it.

Regards and good luck

We look back, and in all these years, I wonder how it is possible that after so much development work I still use Dash almost like the first day I used it back in 2015.
It was already fast, there were already incentivized nodes, it could already be obfuscated... I even remember projects that copied dash like vcash.
Today I use Dash and I hardly see what so much budget and so much development was used for... yes, we have chainlocks, we have direct dash that is still a bridge that almost any currency could do indirectly, we have DIF... even though I don't know very well why?
With all the budget exhausted these years, we could have mountains of gold, real estate, commercial networks... and the only thing we have is the promise that soon we will see the Dash network in operation...

Sounds like a joke, right?

I already said that I will not sell my nodes, whether they are worth 0 or 1000, but what I will do from time to time is remember what we were, what we are, and what we can become.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: April 12, 2023, 10:12:07 AM
I sold out all my Dash too. I was a huge believer in the project. until the vote to give more supply to masternodes. Which was an epic fail by all standards.

The argument was something like, miners sell their coins and masternode holder don't so less selling will make price go up. And more supply 'rewarded' to masternodes will entice more masternodes to come online so more will be hodl'd and price will go up. masternode holders loved that and wouldn't listen to good sense arguing otherwise. it was almost like they dont like proof of work.

So lets have a look shall we, heres the number of masternodes since the reward allocation was changed, marked with a big red arrow.

oh dear.

and here's price. same story.

As people like toknormal and myself and very few others pointed pointed out all along. this wont work. guess what we were right.

IF instead, with a reward allocation favoring proof of work and paying masternode holders enough only to cover costs of running a cheap node, dash could have been above the likes of litecoin and monero now.

It was obvious (to some) that Dash masternode holders made a huge error of judgement, voting more masternode reward for themselves. Based on their own greed they screwed this project. Such a shame.

it really is a credit to dash that it is clinging in the top 100 when you consider how much of the supply is given away almost for free with every... single ... block

your charts were already bearish before the vote you considered key.
I think that Dash already had a great decadent career since it handed over the funds to a DCG team that only managed it directly for their pockets, and to some masternodes that voted for million-dollar proposals to finance garbage that never gave value to the network. If they had done things differently a few years ago with that budget, today Dash would be top 5 without a doubt.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 10, 2022, 11:56:45 AM
Well, it seems that it is inevitable to lose the $30

We go back to February 2017, but with more float, that is, more dilution, many more options on the market, and few real new things on the table.

They are things that happen. Sometimes we make the right decisions and other times we don't. We can blame the market, but realistically, we know that we have done really badly.

With that being said, I really wish you all the best, but understand that no one is going to invest or buy Dash today for anything other than speculation. We will see how important this platform that was previously called EVO is, but if it does not achieve a real and constant demand for Dash, I assure you that we will see the $10 during 2023 or maybe before.

Good luck.

Disagree.  A common mistake in this space is to compare coins like Dash and Bitcoin with LUNA, Terra, FTT, BNB, SOLana and other such scams.  Those coins have massive premines/pre-sales to VC, can be printed at will without consensus and are used to collateralise risky bets that invariably come under pressure in bear markets, when they do they go to zero.  Dash and Bitcoin are different, they have a finite supply, fixed emission schedule, are not used to collaterlise risky bets by the coin's own creators.  These will coins will hold their value and return to high valuations when the stampede out of the market ends.

This is a great opportunity for Dash as the market is doing what it must do which is purge itself of the rubbish tokens thus allowing the OG coins to flourish once again.

I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I've tried dozens of coins and Dash is my priority for payment, but that won't make us any better than the rest. LTC does it well, DOGE... I want to make the holders and the MNs of which I am a part understand that if we want to change something out there, we have to change something in here.

IF I have $1,000, what would encourage me to exchange it for Dash?

Can I play video games with Dash?, can I watch Netfix with Dash?, can I access VPN?, cloud?, many ATMs?... no, I can't, since I need an intermediary like bitrefill or others. Therefore Dash is not a means of payment accepted anywhere, nor is it a store of value, nor does it serve me to access a smart contract...

I agree that there is a lot of garbage in the crypto markets, and time will take care of that little by little, but we are only concerned with adding value to Dash.

I always remember we were 5X the price of Monero not that long ago, and look at Monero now and look at Dash. Monero simply focused on its goal, to be a private currency.

Dash focused on many goals and barely met any of them.

We have not died, but we are dying, so let us rise from our ashes once again.

Let's deliver that platform and show that it's more than just a waste of time and money.

Thank you and best regards.

Meanwhile, we have currencies that were criticized and laughed at here, such as DOGE, LTC, or even Monero, which remain at the forefront and do not lose capitalization with respect to BTC, and make their users, investors and supporters feel safer every day with their choice.

The difference is that none of those have 3000-4000 node holders leaching the investment in new supply straight into their own pockets instead of allowing it to pass into the chain in the form of raising the marginal cost of a block.

Remember:

Marginal coin price = marginal cost of block /  block reward.

So you can't BOTH be a top 40 capital gain coin AND pay 4000 masternodes rewards that are 98% in excess of their operating costs. Pick one.

If we base ourselves on the fact that the difficulty of obtaining something demanded increases its price, you are absolutely right.

Let's imagine a gold mine where there are miners and mine managers. The former use machinery, fuel, labor to get their golden ounces out of the mine. The mine bosses get 25% of the production just for going to the mine to see how everything is going.

Then at the exit there are a couple of buyers of that gold, but there is not much demand to buy the gold, so they make low offers for the gold.

Who will be the ones who sell the gold and get more profit?

obviously the mine bosses who get their gold by going to look, while the miners cannot sell below their costs, otherwise they will not be able to continue mining and will leave.

That's your version.

But now let's think that the mine bosses have bought the land and they know that if they are not profitable for the miners, nobody will exploit the mine and it will be forgotten and nobody will win in the long term.

What mine managers should do is not sell their ounces of gold below the lowest cost of production.

If for example the miner who obtains the lowest gold spends 1500 dollars per ounce, no ounce should be sold below that price.

does this happen in dash?

obviously not. A lot of dash that goes to nodes, sells out instantly, just like the budget dash. If we add to this the mining dash at current prices, we understand that there is an excess supply of dash that pulls the price down.

Either Dash is added value, or it will not stop going down. And the market equilibrium can be very low, even less than $10.

Let's give Dash an added value like the one that the ETH network has and you will see how the ATHs break in a matter of weeks.

All the best
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 02, 2022, 08:29:22 AM

We already have a masternode below 2BTC

Quite an achievement. The best currency, the fastest, the most decentralized, the one with the least commissions, the pioneer of DAOs, the only one that emits 51% attacks, capable of hiding your transactions if you wish...

We can honor Dash with a thousand colored lights, we can create songs that talk about Dash, but we have not been able to turn Dash into a means of mass payment, or into a store of value, or into a reference currency in this world. crypto.

The currency has failed. It pains me to say this as an investor for many years, but things are like that.

When prices dropped below $150, everyone was quick to say that price doesn't matter, that the technology is there and people will come. Then when we went down from 30th, 40th, 50th... people were saying that the capitalization metrics don't measure how good a coin is.

Meanwhile, we have currencies that were criticized and laughed at here, such as DOGE, LTC, or even Monero, which remain at the forefront and do not lose capitalization with respect to BTC, and make their users, investors and supporters feel safer every day with their choice.

In life, if opportunities are not taken advantage of when the time is right, that moment passes and never returns.

I am clear who has been one of the main culprits of all this, we know his face, his surnames, and the lies he told us for years while he loaded his pockets with a good salary. Many warned here, but people said that this forum was plagued by trolls, that a "censored" forum was better, where only beautiful things and white lies were told for Dash.

We have what we deserve.

I can already tell you that in about six or eight months, there will be no budget for just a couple of developers, and the spiral that I warned you about would destroy Dash years ago is already inevitable.

I will no longer undo my position, I consider the investment lost, and luckily I was an early adopter who knew how to make ROI on time. I feel sorry for those who came late and invested in a team that only lied with a roadmap that was never fulfilled, and only knew how to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars doing nothing.

Greetings and sorry.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: October 22, 2022, 05:36:43 AM
I remember years ago, when I still thought that the Dash people listened to their "investors", I was very insistent when DIF was promoted, that it would be a good idea to create the possibility that each fraction of Dash had an intrinsic value beyond its own value. network and usage.

We had a beastly budget, and some of that money could have been spent tying a portion of each Dash to a gold/silver standard, or even a real estate standard.

They all laughed, and said that Dash didn't need that. So they invested in bus trips for Max around the USA, supersonic planes, a marijuana platform that would be the future, logo changes for  thousands of dollars that a child would have made for $200, rain of money on Venezuela that was changed to instant dollars...

Right now it would have been possible for each fraction of Dash to have maybe 5% intrinsic value, maybe it would be $10, $20 or $50, but it would make the coin forever ideal for hoarding.

I said that I had been in finance for more than 25 years, and that the model that was followed was not correct when distributing the budget. That it was better to burn the Dash than to throw it into useless projects that depreciated in value. But no one listened, and everyone laughed toasting that Dash was $800 or more.

Well, the future is uncertain really, but one thing is clear. The predictions I made, or Toknormal, have come true, and that would simply be reason enough to stop and listen next time.

It's amazing how a project can be as good as the people who manage it.

We can start with the best idea in the world, deliver it to a management team, and end up with an empty garbage.

I remember when Evan passed the baton to Ryan and slowly walked away from the project, Ryan talked and talked, while after each budget, enormous amounts of money were spent on salaries, logo change, legal matters, travel, conference attendance. ..

All of this happened, Ryan walked out the back door without bringing anything groundbreaking to the project, and now we have to wait years to spend what DCG was spending on a funding round when Dash was above $400.

How is it possible that now with the value at $40 we try to achieve what was not done with Dash at $500 or more?

I looked at the value of my master node from time to time and I'm glad I didn't bet more on this ticket at the time. The idea was great, but as I said, giving something to someone who is not capable of fulfilling it is an anticipated failure.

I do not doubt people who work or make an effort, but despite this, that effort must be focused to achieve an objective.

I can put effort into moving stones from one place to another and accomplish nothing but waste time and hurt my back. Or I can project to make a house with those stones and place them cunningly until I achieve it.

We have been digressing for more than six years. And we keep dragging out deadlines and creating empty discussions, while with each passing day, fewer people use or know about Dash.

My congratulations to all the managers who have helped to ruin this great project.

All the best.

It is absurd to make an apology about the price of Dash. The metrics are clear, and the excuses are absurd.

We were x5 above monero years ago, above ETH, way above LTC, way above ZEC, we capitalized way more than ETC... And now we're looking for excuses for the shit Dash has been these past few years.

If I carry the weight of a company and that company goes bankrupt because of my decisions, then I will be to blame.

So many bad decisions made by DCG come to mind, and many backed by MNs that I think we get what we deserve.

$40 for a Dash while an ETH is paid above $1000 or a Monero above $105

Stunt planes, buses traveling across the USA, logo changes for thousands of dollars, dash monetary helicopters over Venezuela, ATMs that never arrived, marijuana paid with Dash for everyone, and now it seems that even Dash Direct is starting to have problems.

The one that has endured until here is only for two reasons. One, that they bought in the early days when Dash was a few cents, and the second is that they are stuck with very high prices, and keep the investment hoping to recover one day.

Buying now at these prices is a crossroads as we depend on Dash being sued by people, and truly right now, I don't see any reason to sue Dash.

Why should I buy Dash at $40? To sell it for $60?... is that the reason?

The Dash platform is becoming the new EVOLUTION, it's coming out soon, it's coming out soon and nothing ever comes out.

Greetings and health.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: May 20, 2022, 06:38:31 AM
I remember Duffiel and then Taylor discussing the allocation of master nodes, and almost always the idea came out that over time the generous and seemingly "free" allocation would end up being payment for performing complex functions for the network.

We all remember when it was stated that in the last stage of "evolution" powerful computers with a very good connection to the network would be needed, since they would provide very diverse services such as "decentralized cloud" and many other things.

At the moment we have hardly changed anything from the beginning, and the nodes charge for simply paying a server and making some changes from time to time. I accept that just because of the work the assignment became a lot. But if Dash continues to fall in capitalization, that allocation could even be slim if more value isn't added to the network.

I don't think mining will be the problem in the future, nor will masternodes... the problem is that what had to be on the table more than three years ago is not being delivered. If the Dash platform is really to attract people, possibly the allocation of the master nodes is more in line with their work and future cost.

If Dash achieves a small market niche with the Dash platform, it could gain some traction, and if BTC returns to highs in the next Bull run, maybe we can hover around $250 and try to stabilize around that area.

According to free market economics it should stabilise at masternode operating costs +  a risk premium on the collateral.

Masternode operating costs are around $30 a month which would value Dash at around $5 (based on rewards of 6 Dash per month).

Add a $25 per month risk premium (pretty generous at 600% of operating costs) and you get the stable long term price = $30.

Certainly right now it would be a reasonable price. $30 for each Dash and based on what you can offer today would be acceptable.

But let's think that the platform offers some more incentives in the style of ETH and its chain of smart contracts. It could give us an improvement in its fundamentals, and gain market capitalization.

I remember at least three years ago I said that it would be nice if a part of the budget was spent on buying gold, and that each Dash had a small part of gold that would make whatever happened happen, a Dash would always be worth something... obviously it was preferred pay big salaries to Dash visionaries, rather than use a small portion of the budget to deliver core value to the Dash chain.
