I'm not that really technical about electrum but importing your private key is the same with importing your seed only for this wallet? or it is also applicable from electrum > other wallets?

Hello HCP I've got a newbie question about electrum android, is this just the same with the desktop version? If not what's the difference? Thanks
There are too many difference when using between Android and PC version of electrum, there are many advantages when using in PC, like sending to multiple addresses, sending bitcoin offline with signed and unsigned transaction, etc. While on Android is designed only to import/export/sweep, sending and receiving bitcoin only. I see, what does the "import" , "export" and "sweeping" do? Please enlighten me with this thank you. |

So you've copied a valid bitcoin address from another application... and when you click the "paste" button in Electrum it doesn't do anything? I've just tested this by copying the example bitcoin address from this page: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address (1BvBMSEYstWetqTFn5Au4m4GFg7xJaNVN2)... Then went into Android Electrum and clicked the "paste" button, the address was put into the "recipient" field fine.  Do you get any error like "invalid bitcoin URI" or anything when you click "paste"? Hello HCP I've got a newbie question about electrum android, is this just the same with the desktop version? if you are serious about security of your puter:
1) Do NOT use windows, use linux only. If you absolutely need windows set up a dual boot and never do anything confidential on windows
2) Learn to use partition encryption and use it to store anything confidential on all of your devices.
3) Never install any dubious software on your puter (including browser extensions)
4) Never access confidential info on an unsecure device (like any smartphone)
Nice advice so windows isn't advisable for those people who want to have a better security. So I've got a lot of things to learn first thanks for this. Windows can be secure if you do it right, but can be more difficult to properly secure. It is also a bigger target for attackers as many more people are using it so more malware is written to be compatible with Windows. Yes, I understand that the demand of Windows is high and that's why attackers are staying more with windows too. But if there is no phishing link or malware that I'll click I'm going to be fine, right? |

Sigurado si OP ay na-scammed sa facebook, mag-ingat sa pakikipagtransaction online hindi mo alam kung sino ang kausap mong tao. Madaming mga nagpapanggap, desperado at nagsikalat na manloloko. Tulad nalang ng investing sa facebook group, networking, pag-eencash ng pera, at iba pa,,, Educate yourself sa ganitong mga bagay. Maging matalino sa pakiki-negosasyon, huwag lang basta-basta mainganyo sa mga pangako, tulad nalang na "Trusted ako", "Marami na akong naktransaction", "Send first before I go" etc,,,
Oo nga totoo yang sinasabi mo. Madaming nag papanggap na trusted sila nag gagrab pa ng mga picture ng iba. Ingat lang po mga kabayan. |
