1  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 2BTC loan on: April 03, 2013, 11:29:45 PM
Irregardless if you tried to scam in the past or not,

You are asking for 2btc.  Do you have any collateral?

As in physical item?

Yes but a digital item like domain name also works.

No I don't own domains or shares in anything, not much internet collateral. Have several physical items but none that is worth shipping for you to hold on to and send back. I just get paid on the 12th and can payback.

My name was removed from the potential scammer list if you would like to go check. I appreciate you looking out for the community but please make sure your information is correct and up to date.

Also the only reason why it was there is I was referred to this site to accept a loan, naturally everyone though I was scaming with an account asking for a loan.

8  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Production stops 2017 on: March 29, 2013, 12:15:31 PM
If mining is essentially hosting a ledger and supporting the transfers of bitcoin, how will bitcoin survive past 2017 when they say they will stop producing at 21 million? If the miners are not being rewarded with bitcoin they will stop hosting the ledger and bitcoin transactions will end.

What am I missing?

2017 only marks the next reward split, from 25 coins per block down to 12.5...which will give us another 4 years before the next split to 6.25..and so on. We'll technically never reach the exact 21 million, and there will be a point when solving blocks doesn't generate any reward at all.

Instead, the reward would be the transaction fees..which I imagine will go up once the normal block rewards prove to be less fruitful.

Transaction fees, that is what I was missing. Makes sense now.

11  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 btc for 3 days on: March 29, 2013, 12:53:25 AM
I will loan that to you, i need scanned ID and i would need you to print out, then sign and scan a contract.

Thank you for the offer, however I will pass.

If you are willing to let me send the ID to tomatocage or John K maybe to essentially escrow my ID as collateral. I see you are a new member, I rather not risk sending my ID out for a btc loan.

Hope you understand, thanks again.

Will also offer a small thank you tip fwiw.
13  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC via Walmart.com on: March 28, 2013, 02:25:02 AM
Would a mod/very reputable member be willing to escrow this trade?

I will be paying with green dot monepay pak and will need to send code to escrow to verify funds and pass code to seller while holding the BTC. So you will need to come highly recommended and have more to lose then gain from this.

Greatly appreciate the help between 2 new members exchanging the wonderful BTC!
