1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So, just bought in. Anyone hiring? on: March 15, 2013, 07:02:37 PM
Yeah man I know how you feel.. I remember hearing a bout it when it first started. Was skeptical and never though much about it. Kind of forgot about it. Then I hear about how much it's gone up .. look into it a bit more and now I understand a bit more how it works. I'm kicking myself in the ass right now.

Better late then never. I'm hoping to be able to get my hands on an ASIC soon and start mining.
2  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] 843.02 Amazon.com gift card for 85% face value on: March 07, 2013, 02:17:50 AM
I bought a $100 e-gift card off someone for $60 and it got taken out of my account 1 hour later. These really aren't safe to buy unless it's a physical gift card or it's already deposited onto the account. Good luck with your sale, anyone taking this should have some collateral in his hands.

Yeah I've heard that some people figured out how to generate codes, and Amazon is cracking down on that. But the codes I get are payments from amazon, so they are legit and won't get removed. Like I said I will only deal with an escrow, and I don't mind having the escrow hold on the transaction for a day or two to confirm it wasn't just fake generated code.

I have an interested buyer. Will update if it goes through.
4  Economy / Digital goods / [SOLD] 843.02 Amazon.com gift card for 85% face value on: March 06, 2013, 02:36:22 AM
Looking to sell this gift card I got as payment from Amazon. Hence, the odd value. Like I said I'm willing to sell it for 85% the value.

843.02 * 0.85 = 716.56$ = 17.13 BTC

I will only deal through escrow. I'm not looking to scam or be scammed. Offers under 85% will be ignored.

I'm also new and don't know all that much, but from my understanding someone would need your wallet.dat file. I don't think your public wallet address is enough for someone to use it other then adding funds to it.

Hopefully someone with more insight might be able to elaborate on that. It would also help me out. But my guess is that it uses public/private key encryption.

Haven't they stated that it would be in June or something now? Maybe I'm wrong .. it could be a friend who guessed that and I'm thinking I read it somewheres.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why does everyone rushes to buy ASIC? on: February 27, 2013, 10:32:31 PM
I'm expecting the value of BTC to USD or EUR to drop when so much new hashing power will be added to the pools. Hopefully the demand for BTC stays high and even grows so we don't get to see any drops of value soon. Luckily those new ASICs create some demand for BTC when people place orders for them as it seems to be an usual payment method.
It's pretty much why I'm looking to sell my gift cards for bitcoins .. so I can buy myself an ASIC machine.. it's hard though.
