1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How can I install bitcoin wallet api for dice site on: February 06, 2017, 05:57:06 AM
Here a few years back I was single for about a year, which I used as a great excuse to not leave my computer chair (or bedroom) for a long time. I learned a lot, extremely quickly, and became involved in coin development, pool software development and administration, and I had a few betting games going for some of my favorite coins. The dice game I ran was seriously awesome, and, no, it isn't one of those crappy "coinwheel" scripts that's been passed around here for years. It is a node.js app, fairly difficult to get set up (evem more so now because it will need an old version of node and lots of trial and error getting all the packages right). It'll work with damn near any coin that behaves like any 'coind should, you can customize transaction fees (to prevent attacks where douchebags keep depositing and withdrawing to bankrupt the house, you can customize the house edge, users can create accounts, there's a chatroom, a betbot, and plenty of betting and play options, such as increasing the odds of winning while lowering payouts. Best of all, it runs fully on an "investment" system to keep the house pot fat, meaning anyone can invest and earn some of that house edge(and withdraw anytime they wish).. From an administration standpoint, it's super easy to maintain. Keep a process monitor on it to relaunch the main process if it goes down(do that with your wallet and database too), and its easy to get into the database for account recovery or pruning and whatnot. I used to run another game which was a clone of satoshibuttons (check it out, funl and was a decent little earner as well.. Icve been out of the crypto game a while, been waiting for some opportunity to come back and do....something.  I'd be happy to help you get everything up and running, and teach you all the finer points, and I work pretty cheap. Once you get the hang of it all you'll be able to spawn new games as fast as new coins can come out! PM me if you want someone to help you do it right, I really do work cheap.

Was sifting through old threads and came across this... Can't believe BRD is still around! Anyway, I'm actually edric, my account got hijacked ages ago and I never bothered doing anything about it.

This was one of those random coins I just decided to take over updating, out of boredom and as a learning experience. Good times. I have a couple wallets somewhere worth a combined 300m BRD, though I'll likely never find my backups and the originals died in the big hdd crash of last year (along with my midget porn and fur fanfics).

Birdcoin has been dead since launch, Edric who used to provide updates to BIRD ran away from bitcointalk due to chasing the dragon....
You're sorta half right... Though my "dragon" is a person.

Edric used the BirdCoinV2 handle and so did yourself ciocgun to provide updates to the threads, bit of a coincidence ?
I don't know who BirdCoinV2 was, but it wasn't me. I only ever used my main account, that's it.

I'm doing different stuff nowadays, not much coin development, but if anyone is interested in a (real) relaunch I'd be glad to help get wallets compiled and all that other fun stuff Smiley

Mining is working as it should, but the pool site is having issues where actual shares and pool hashrate aren't showing up. Please note that miners are being credited normally for the shares they submit, though. Will be working on it!

Ok, it's working now. My puny 10kh wasn't enough apparently to submit any shares, but someone else logged in while I was watching the console and immediately started churning out shares, so we're good.

I'll try to get the domain name set up at some point today.. Just been busy with work.

I see we found a block.. Is the reward .05? I need to look over everything more carefully because I don't know lol

Happy mining!

I've been working overtime the last few days so haven't been able to get any work done on the pool... I don't have enough hash power to test things out properly, but as of now, your miners should be able to submit shares. Forgot that x13 has different diff settings Sad

EDIT: I'm not sure what the issue is right now. I've set up and ran plenty of pools, including x11/x13/x15 coins. I'm using vanilla NOMP (In MPOS mode) as the stratum backend, with vardiff set to minimum .001 up to 1. I can only manage about 10 k/h but I should have submitted at least 1 share by now.. Please let me know if you can submit shares now!

Would someone be so kind as to confirm that mining is working on my pool? My crappy laptop hangs up when I try to test with sgminer.. I'm pretty sure it's all good though. Will be setting up a domain name and making tweaks to the configuration throughout the rest of today. I'm also going to change the pool's config to 0% fee for the first few days as well, so come on in!

Disregard my last... The pool is up and running at http://52.202.159.206/. I'll get a domain name set up sometime tomorrow.

Vardiff port is 3333. I'll be adding extra fixed diff ports in the next couple of days, as well as getting everything else tweaked and set up properly. Emails from the server aren't functioning properly right now, so I've turned off email verification for the moment, just don't lock yourself out of your account until I get that fixed :b

Will be actively making improvements over the next couple of days so the pool may go down briefly a time or two. Let me know if you have any mining issues.

Pardon the delays, guys, I'll have the pool up and running for sure tomorrow. Had some issues getting stratum running the way I want it, but I'll have it ironed out tomorrow afternoon when I get home.

Looks like this coin is needing a pool.. If so I will set one up, I have some server to spare.

I can set up some kind of game for this if anyone wants...

New pool! gothicpool (dot) tk
1% fee
PPLNS

Just getting set up, so pool site is pretty bare..  Will be setting up more advanced stratum backend later on and getting everything tweaked. Everything should be good to go, except server emails may not be functioning yet, but not requiring email verification upon registration as of yet. Try us out!

edit: for the love of god, the suspicious link filter is silly, filtering dot tk addresses.....
