1  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 22, 2016, 05:43:13 PM
I would choose Bitcoin - the potential is far greater.

That is because you can spend bitcoin.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: November 22, 2016, 06:06:10 PM
I select for bitcoin, I already prove if the investment with the gold the profitable no more than 5% per year. For currently I always set aside money to buy bitcoin.

If you were invested in bitcoin in 2014 Nov, then you will not say Bitcoins are better than gold. Because that time price was around 1000+ and until now, bitcoin prices never reach to that high. That means in last two years those people never made any profits from bitcoins yet. So it is always good to invest in few different assets than one. I choose both bitcoins and as well as gold.

You should push back the date by one year to 2013 Nov. That was very bad time for investment due to a big bubble.

Gold price right now really huge http://goldprice.org/ as a can see here but it's really hard to us to sell it and get it we need to have gold first before make some really income while in bitcoin we need just it and we earing it from signature campaign and we can really trade it.

The gold price is suppressed by the big banks such as the JP Morgan. If not, the price will be many thousands.

gold is a good option for me if i have more money but for now i only have bitcoin so i will stick with bitcoin. maybe i will collect more money first to buy gold as my second investment.

Gold is really a good type of investment but for me. Since I am in bitcoin, I would say that the best investment would bitcoin and it is already a good currency.

And it has a lot of services that you can enjoy like using it as the real currency in your life and it is a very good payment processor.

If you have love ones in other country.
If you will analyze carefully, gold might be valuable now but bitcoin is more valuable although we have not seen yet in its price today. The fact that bitcoin is design to give its users and adopters the benefits of using bitcoin to transact online it could already help people make good savings if they will just adopt with bitcoins, and for that makes it more value since it is useful in our daily lives.

The bitcoin will be more valuable than the bitcoin as it has limited supply and the amount will be lost in the long term.

Gold and bitcoin each half, are suitable investment targets. Of course, I now look more like a special currency, if there is sufficient funds on hand, I will buy some bitcoin, hold for a long time, I hope it can appreciate.

You can make profits from both of them in long run, the only thing is that you need to wait even  longer in gold to secure profits as its not too volatile like bitcoin but its a safe investment to make.

The gold is just an investment to beat the inflation. It cannot beat the bitcoin to rise much faster.

I choose bitcoin , simple and easy to carry around , where there is an internet connection we can sell bitcoin easily

Internet connection is necessary in bitcoin because we really need that in able to use bitcoin unless you are going to have your hardware wallet. And you are going to store that on it and it is going to be your offline wallet. I want gold but I am accepting the fact that I can't afford to buy gold and for me bitcoin is better because I can avail it.

yes it is necessary but you don't need a fast connection with bitcoin, you can go away and use a very slow collection and your wallet will be working fine, gold on the other hand can't be used everywhere to buy stuff i think, so it's very limited

It works now. But in the future, when there are more bitcoin transactions, you need faster connections.
7  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-08] Bitcoin ETFs May Not Be The Best Investment Vehicles on: September 09, 2016, 05:46:33 PM
"But the biggest risk of all remains liquidity. A fair few traditional ETFs target illiquid markets specifically, which could be cause for concern for investors. Companies dealing with these Bitcoin-based investment vehicles may suffer from a similar fate. Although there is plenty of Bitcoin trading volume every day, it is dwarfed by traditional investment options."
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: DOWN WE GO - Market is unstable. It will crash around halving day. on: August 08, 2016, 06:40:02 PM
It crash It crash
Yesterday $650 and today already $520

Tomorrow will be $10

LOL, before halving i am read many people trust bitcoin will go over $1000

I do not think the Bitcoin will be $400 or lower in the near future. If it drops to that level, it will be brief.

The bitcoin price dropped to around $460 after the Bitfinex hack, but the price rebound very quickly.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: DOWN WE GO - Market is unstable. It will crash around halving day. on: July 27, 2016, 07:22:44 AM
I got scared on Friday when I saw the price going below $650 and almost started selling my coins.
But I held out and I'm going to hope that the price goes up towards $700.
I think BTC can get to a higher price in the future but who knows.
Maybe I'm wasting my money and should just be putting it in the bank or towards stocks/ bonds.  Roll Eyes

The $650 is the centre of the recent trading range between $600 to $700. So there is no need to worry.

I think the current price stability is very good. It give some people plenty of time to accumulate enough bitcoin.

The bitcoin price dropped around $150 before the halving day. It could be a good correction after big rise.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: CIRCLE EXPANDS TO CHINA on: June 29, 2016, 06:48:02 PM
At the moment everyone is saying that the volume in China exchanges are fake. We shall see how's the volume looks like when circle starts its operation in China. This should give us a better understanding of the real situation.

That will be very interesting. If Circle is honest, it will be the smallest exchanges in term of volume in china.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal Files Patent for Bitcoin Payment Device on: June 13, 2016, 08:51:49 AM
The international payments processor PayPal has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a payment device that will be able to process cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/paypal-files-patent-for-bitcoin-payment-device

seems like we will soon see paypal accepting deposit via bitcoin. Grin

I think it is imperative for Paypal's future existence that they innovate now. However I think in the long term they will have to say farewell to their once so profitable money transfer business:
If bitcoin becomes a dominant currency, there won't be much need for a currency conversion service. Everything will be available for Bitcoin, without the need for any fiat conversion. Such conversions only add costs and complexity compared to a direct Bitcoin transaction, hence it is highly unlikely that conversions will remain in use as overall Bitcoin acceptance is increasing.

Although - judging by their buying behavior - today's investors seem to think differently, I think that eBay as an auction service has better future prospects than Paypal as a payment service. But even eBay needs to innovate fast and drive costs down, as they will have p2p selling platforms like OpenBazaar closing in on their heels.

ya.ya.yo!

It is a hundred years away from that. Bitcoin struggles to managed 240,000 transactions a day - it wont manage the billions that actually take place all over the world in fiat. I think BTC will end up as an asset, a store of value. And maybe doge will be the currency for everyday use.

Paypal is a payment processor. You can store money in there and the transaction is instant, the same as fiat transactions.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: May 22, 2016, 04:17:59 PM
i was heard some people said that Ethereum will replace bitcoin but i personally don't trust them and will still use bitcoin because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency also the first one and i think people have same thought as me will choose Bitcoin than Ethereum

Bitcoin has 6 years history and has been proven to be working. It will take several more years for Etheruem to achieve that status.
