3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining alone on a pool VS real solo mining via RPC on: February 07, 2018, 04:02:51 PM
according to whattomine i should mine 3.9 etc per day,  thats exactly 1 block.  i have 0.013% hashrate from the total hash.

i was just in the impression that i would get the same result by solo mining than mining alone on that pool.  1 or 2 blocks per day was ok with me.

i though maybe something is going different between mining alone on a pool and solo mining. Maybe the way that the work is distributed over the rigs.

0.013% of 5800blocks/day = 0.7 blocks,    just 1 or 2 was doable
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / mining alone on a pool VS real solo mining via RPC on: February 07, 2018, 03:09:56 PM
Just a quick question guys....

i wanted to try solo mining but before setting up the nodes .. i found a mining pool for ETC where they were simply no one on it.

i began mining and i was finding around 1 or 2 block per day on the pool so after 4 days i decided to install parity and sync the whole chain and start mining solo via rpc protocol. its been almost 72h and i have found no block.  ( if someone ask why not stick to that pool , well  the one who setup the pool somehow made a mistake or not with the payout, and simply keep 1 ether on every blocks found. for testing i didnt mind at all )

Is there something differente between mining alone on a pool and actualy mining solo directly to the nodes Huh

everything is setup properly in case someone asked , i have changed parity to testnet ropsten and i found blocks and get paid.

any idea

thank you !!!!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone mining PIRL here on: January 08, 2018, 02:59:53 AM
well if you are not scared continue with PIRL but only dump when coins go up every 2 or 3 days and you will be ahead of what you would get mining ETH.

I do the same with SUMOkoin, Electroneum, Feathercoin, Zencash ....

on my side, samsung are the best, getting over 1kh cryptonote and 31.2mhs ether on ASUS strix 8gb,

on second place , i would put my MSI 4GB elpina , also closed to 980h cryptonote and 30.8mhs with eth.

third , hynix , i cant get them running stable over 880h cryptonote and 29.8mhs ether with Asus Dual 8gb.

never tried micro here maybe in the next batch of 580..

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / help with overclocking via Claymore , problem on: December 31, 2017, 02:35:32 AM
Hi there folks, i was wondering is one of you could help or point out what i missed.

i have install couples of rigs with ubuntu, mining XMR with claymore v11.

some have 580s and other 290 and 290x.

everything is running fine and stable BUT ,  none of the rigs listen to the strings  -cclock and -mclock.

they seems to be ignored.

i just want to be able to overclock a bit.

setup is asrock motherboard, dual psu , hdd ,  same as always.

ubuntu 16.. amd blockchain driver and claymore v11

thats it.

Thank you !!

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / problem with my rigs.. on: September 30, 2017, 12:31:01 PM
hi there folks,

i have been searching over google to find similar problem but cant find a proper explanation.

here is my problem.

i have mining gpus rigs as usuale.... asrock h81....6 gpu mosly r9 290/x and some rx 580s.

using dual 1050w thermaltake psu

all  of my rigs are mining with os on usb with simplemining..

i used powered riser like everyone else ...

what happen is when i boot with 2 psu the rig boots fine starts to mine and eventually stop reboot and comeback with less gpus... starts to mine again  stop reboots and comes back with less to even sometime stabilized with 4 gpus other time 3...

what i did since i cant find the problem im only mining with 3 cards per rigs and im wasted 3 pcies slots on every mobo....

i would like to use 6 gpus per rigs....

how are you guy running them without a problem ?  i even ordered the new mobo with 13 gpu but well i cant get 2 psus to work how the hell will i use 3 psu on 1 rigs...
