Yeah, the pw for my wallet... I should probably correct myself: It's not brute forcing, I'm working with a small number of knowns and trying variations, iteratively. It could be a relatively long sentence of a password, so real brute forcing is out of the way.

I'd invest in bitcoins themselves and also gold/silver. You can cash out your BTC when it's high and silver is low, like *right now* for example. Silver has been around $35-40 but now it's $28. BTC was $15 and now it's $35.

Therefore, if you bought $1000 worth of BTC @ $15, traded for $28/oz silver @ $35/coin, then sold again when silver hits $40 this year, you would have multiplied your initial investment by more than 3x in a matter of months.

Mmmmm. Smoothies. As long as that smoothie doubles in value every week, hey, why not?

Stocks generally fall much faster than they rise, due to speculation. BTC should work the same way, theoretically.

I think its going to fall soon after it hits $40, IMHO. Who knows, though.

When the U.S. dollar, the world's *reserve* currency, collapses due to our unsustainable debt and spending, people are going to flee to EVERY other alternative currency. The smart ones will flee to the commodity-baked currencies (silver, gold, food, oil) and decentralized electronic currencies like BTC. In 5 years, the U.S. will be well on it's way to fascism, so... I see BTC in the $100's to $1000's. Vague, but politics usually are.

I have thousands worth of BTC that I bought back @ $6/coin, but I didn't write down my password, so... I *can't* spend it. Kinda glad, because I'm confident I can brute force it with some help from this forum. If I'd had access to those coins 12 months ago, would they still be there? Nah.

I guess what I'm advocating is, if you are impulsive, try forgetting your password completely and shaking your fist at fate as the value rises to $35 from $6. *facepalm*  Cry
