Why is there so little activity here? I came back to report another successful purchase of more than a dozen different coins, but I feel like I have to remark on the fact I made the last 2 replies here. Such a great business. I'm buying VAT free silver to the UK for great prices, paid in bitcoin, I don't understand how this isn't more popular.

Second order came 6 days after ordering. I mailed support to let them know I didn't get the tracking number on my last order and got a reply within 24 hours. They told me they had now fixed the issue. As they promised I got the despatch notification and the tracking number. Same as last time everything was perfect. I'm recommending this site to all my crypto friends.

Would be great to see someone at the company have a greater social media prescience though, that's literally the only criticism I can come up with. Even if it was just some boring comment here or something just to let us know everything is cool.

Update to my previous commmet.

Order arrived today to the UK on 13/7/17, I ordered on 6/7/17.

Everything perfect as ordered. 22 silver coins of 7 different varieties. All packaged exceptionally in either individual zip lock bags, individual plastic cases, or 6 in a tube designed for 10 which they had taken the care and effort to stuff with bubble wrap so they didn't bang around too much.

Overall I'm absolutely delighted with my order but i did feel a little nervous about the order arriving just because on the 5th I sent them a question to support and still I haven't received a reply yet. In their defence if I'd read the FAQ it had been answered. Also my order inside the website still shows as processing and I didn't get an email with tracking information as stated. However it was a nice surprise today for me to wake up to and smeagle over.

Will definately use again. In fact I'm going to order again immediately since the first was just a test purchase.

How long are processing times at the moment? I made an order on the 6th and since I haven't had a reply to my email question I made before the order.  I'm a little anxious to see it despatched. A more regular social media presence would be reassuring.

Hope there's gonna be a lite/electrum wallet someday, the qt wallet is a little unstable and it's taking ages to sync  Cry

Reuben (developer) was kind enough to show me you can download an image of the Blockchain (updated every 6 hours) from znode.io. After extracting it to the zcoin folder it took about an hour to index and sync I think. No time at all.

Hi guys, hopefully someone can answer me a question.

When testing a wallet backup the client starts downloading the Blockchain again from scratch, although this time it gets stuck at block 722. Ive deleted all related zcoin files and started again but it always freezes at block 722. Where is the Blockchain stored? Can I point the client to it again? Why did it stop at block 722 this time? Is there a way to change the wallet.dat file for my backup without restarting the chain download?

Thanks for any assistance.

I believe this is being worked on at the moment. Head over to the slack and ask them there

Thanks!

Good luck with this, what algo thinking to make ?

Some kind of proof of stake. We don't want to have to rely on having a high hashing rate to secure our network incase of societal breakdown or war.
9  Economy / Auctions / [WTS] Localbitcoins account 1 year 10 months old 100%+ve fb and no real name set on: February 16, 2015, 11:10:18 PM
Firstly, i want to stress I'm doing this on a purely legitimate basis with the understanding that the account will not be used for any kind of fraud, scamming, or any generally unscrupulous behaviour.

I have a 1 year 10 month old account on Localbitcoins with no real name set, 100% feedback on about 35 transactions. I feel it would be great way to add some instant heritage for a new Bitcoin trader/seller/miner. Any interest or comment on how much it might be worth would be appreciated

I'm happy to make a brief announcement on behalf of our small team regarding our plans for a new decentralised crypto-currency we are going to call Politicoin.

Having been enthralled at the possibilities of Bitcoin for over 2 years, it wasn't long before we started considering if it was possible to bring the decentralized community, consensus, and accessibility of the Blockchain into politics. Transparency, consensus and accessibility all seem like attributes we would like to see more of in politics or any governing body like a foundation or trust. Since that first thought 2 years ago, my distaste for the lies and hypocrisy in politics has only grown, and with it came the decision to at least attempt to create a tool to counter this blatant lack of representation.

By modifying the blockchain to store small packets of text, we plan create a decentralised archive of time stamped, attributable and contextualised plain-text and encrypted data. Whilst basic in concept, the public de-centralised cloud storage archive can be used to store content and commands to notarise website content where operators wish to eliminate accusations of bias and corruption, like politics and publishing.

To demonstrate the benefits of supporting Politicoin, we plan to build a politics focussed social media and crowdfunding platform, aimed at restoring credibility through accountability in politics and online publishing. We want to use scientific methodology and courtroom objectivity to transform compassionate informed consensus, into direct and tangible forces like professional lobbyists, and campaign sponsorship. Maybe even one day a party on a mandate written by the people for the people. Using the the blockchain to record and store everything from the user generated content to the actions of a moderator means our platform is not only monitored and evaluated for integrity by people of all persuasions with equal access to the blockchain, but cesored in an appropriate and accountable manner to optimise the end user experience and stop abuse. These users can maintain identities on the site and the Blockchain at large to take advantage of the audience, tips and reputation they may gain. By democratically electing moderators with a fixed tenure and evaluating decisions on an ongoing basis, users can be assured of the integrity of the system. Not only will they have the raw data and cryptographic evidence of foul play should there be any, they will have the motivation and possibly even reputation on Politicoin to start their own 'Blockchain reader'.

Exact plans for what kind of moderation parameters and smart conflict resolution incentives we will employ in the site are yet to be decided. It is hoped that by the time our white paper is released that we will have had the chance to use our basic 'proof of concept' website to discuss at length what the most objective way to approach this project would be.

Along with a small contribution of my own, discussions with private investors has netted a small amount of funding. Hopefully with this announcement we may be able to start a discussion regarding Crypto-currencies and politics in general, as based on it's failings and weaknesses it should definitely be the next focus of innovation.

We appreciate any feedback, thoughts or suggestions on the matter

Greetings,

Im looking to buy BTC for UK Bank Transfer.

2% under Bitstamp rate

Max Order size 2500GBP

Email unotdog25@gmail.com for any questions

Do you want BTC sent for you first, right?  Roll Eyes
everyone give email for private, because want received btc first. hahahaha...  Cheesy

If you have a lower trust rating then me then yes, I do want bit coins sending before I send money which is pretty understandable don't you agree? I can offer escrow through localbitcoins for a 1% fee. I have 4500 documented trades I can prove as well as a great reputation in the UK.
I appreciate there's plenty of scams around here but save your cynicism for where it's appropriate Wink
