1  Economy / Marketplace / 330 TH/s Hosted Bitcoin Farm For Sale on: May 29, 2018, 09:22:55 PM
I am looking to sell my 330 TH/s hosted Bitcoin farm that consists of (25) S9's with power supplies.  Average hash is 13.2 TH/s per miner, all running in a hosted facility in Washington state with a reputable hosting provider.  The best part of this deal is that you get the hosting space in this facility at 6.5 cents per kW/h for the future, regarding of whether you keep the S9's in there or replace them with something else.  Hosting is paid for until mid-June and escrow will be handled by the hosting provider.  My price is $50,000 USD firm, payable in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum.  Serious buyers only please and message me with any questions that you might have.

Thanks.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethOS - Ethereum Mining Platform on: December 27, 2017, 07:06:40 PM
I have been using ethOS for sometime now and love the stats panel to manage all of my miners, however there is one variable I do not know how to read.  What is the "L - 5 minute load average (sysload)" value?  It seems like 90% of my miners are running a sysload between 0.2-0.5, but some are running at 1.4-1.6 and even one at 2.4.  If I look at the historical graph for one of the miners running at 1.4, I see that it was running for a long period at 0.2 and then jumped to 1.4 for several days.  How do I interpret this value and are the any actions I should take?

Thanks.

I ask this question trying to understand and adapt to the new payout method..I have not received payment for blocks 481667 and 481716 which have both matured.  I thought under the new method they were paid out once matured rather than once matured and next block found.  I am not complaining, just trying to understand.  Thanks.
The transaction is always sent once matured (well almost always)
You just may not see it until it confirms the first time, which will be when it gets in a block, any block, like just happened.
Though recently blocks were pretty empty so I added a fee and they got confirmed by other pools and you would have often seen them unconfirmed also.
I'm not adding the fee at the moment coz it's pointless - see the size of the block we just got, and that was only a 12 minute network block.

Ahhhh, so there was never a change to the payout method, you were just adding a transaction fee which is why we were seeing payouts faster.  Got it.  Thanks Kano.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: BTC/BCC Automatic Switch Stratum URL - Stupid Question... (ViaBTC) on: August 22, 2017, 02:06:04 PM
I am sure this will be blasted as a stupid question - but I'm looking for confirmation of what I think "BTC/BCC Automatic Switch Stratum URL" on ViaBTC.com means.

If I use the "BTC/BCC automatic switch to higher mining yields available now. Mining URL: stratum+tcp://smart.viabtc.com:3333" URL, does that mean that ViaBTC will determine in which pool to mine, based on what's most profitable at the time?

Yes, when mining to the auto switch url you will mine whichever viaBTC pool (BTC or BCC) is the most profitable.  I can't speak much about the pool, however auto switching features are a nice way to maximize profit.  BTW, Sarasota?

I wonder what the record is for the most diff block found by our pool?  Are we anywhere close to it?

How hot do the 741's run?  Are they like the Bitmain S7's and S9's in regards to heat and noise?

Well ... this way you get them faster ... ...
I mentioned before that I'll continue it while it keeps working ... i.e. the payouts contine to be confirmed faster

I am 100% ok with this Kano, thanks for implementing this as I had not even realized it!  Thanks again for everything that you do for us, your commitment, communication and service to the pool is appreciated.

We need a block to pop off these 4 payments that are teed up, especially with BTC hitting all time highs today!

Just created a new account for this. So hi everybody.

Enkayz, this question is actually for you. I did not get the hourly payout from hashbag.cc for my DNR earnings and now, around 15 DNR are.. gone? Maybe you could take a look? The Payout Adress is D5J9PKWkLLaFp9f8ru7A8CSaZpaYi7tbUj

Maybe there are other guys with the same issze.

Thank you!

I have the same issue there was 20 DNR to be paid but it disappear
can you take a look at mine as well

Hi both of you.. I am sorry to say, but the yiimp based pool(s) had a hacker in the last 3 days which stole many funds. Some pools lost over 6BTC worth of wallet funds.. luckily hashbag only suffered a small amount, under a total of 1000 DNR (and some other coin as well), unfortunately I have to say your funds are part of what got hacked, I won't be able to restore them at the moment.

The good news however is that we have their IP address and all of the addreses where the funds went to, and he used the same IP address to attack all the pools too.. We have discovered the problem in yiimp and updated some of the code to prevent it.. there will be no more exploit to the yiimp software in this fashion, but the funds are unfortunately gone. Sad

There is currently some nice people making a donation drive to recover the lost funds, assuming I can get enough DNR to cover it, I can put the lost payments back into the database. But thank you for your patience and support, I will try to restore those payments if possible.. but those funds right now are sitting with the hacker's account and I can't do anything to get them back.

I hope you have professional liability insurance...

From what I can see there is no Linux GPU miner?

Yes dump AMD and pick up some Nvidia GTX 1070's as replacements.  Grin

Thanks but I need to put 180 AMD cards to work on this coin ASAP!

I also don't want to beat a dead horse by trying to get the Windows install to work considering my farm is all running Linux (Ubuntu & ethOs), so I really should be focusing on how to download/install the AMD GPU Miner to Ubuntu...

I am trying to get my miner working and I just can't get it hashing right.  I took a 3 GPU rig (rx480's) running Windows 10 and downloaded Sgminer x64 5.3.8.  I created a batch file with the following in it:

sgminer.exe -k tribus -o stratum_tcp://kawaiipool.party:8533 -u <mywallet> -p c=DNR
The miner fires up and runs by my 3 GPUs are not hashing, it just looks like my integrated GPU hashing at approx 300 KH/s.  I got rid of the 16.9.2 AMD drivers and downloaded 17.4.

Any ideas? I am not married to any pools yet, I just want to get my farm pointed towards this coin!

Thanks,

Try booting with --gpu-platform 1:

sgminer.exe -k tribus --gpu-platform 1 -o stratum+tcp://pool.hashbag.cc:8688 -u <mywallet> -p c=DNR

to double check the gpu platform you want to run with run "sgminer.exe -n" it should show your gpu platforms that are installed, more than likely platform 0 is the intel opencl

If all else fails or if you just want to remove the intel opencl platform check in this registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Khronos/OpenCL/Vendors OR
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Wow6432Node/Software/Khronos/OpenCL/Vendors

it should list your openCL vendors. if the intel opencl is in there set the DWORD value to 1, then it should disappear from the platform enumeration and your AMD OpenCL will be the '0'th gpu platform

This is what I have done so far and the results:

Uninstalled the AMD drivers and reinstalled the drivers recommended on the MSI website, which was Crimson ReLive 17.6.2;

Turned off the integrated graphics card in bios (DVI is plugged directly into AMD graphics card);

Ran sgminer.exe -n from command and received this:
CL Platform vendor: Intel Corporation
CL Platform name: Intel OpenCL
CL Platform version: OpenCL 2.0
Error -1: Getting Device IDs (num)
clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable
Unable to load the NVIDIA Management Library

I tried adding the flag --gpu-platform 1 (and other iterations of this) and sgminer returned the error:
clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable
All devices disabled, cannot mine!

I modified the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Khronos/OpenCL/Vendors/.../IntelOpenCL64.dll and set the value to 1, and sgminer returned the error:
clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable
All devices disabled, cannot mine!

I am scratching my head right now, any ideas?

16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Question for experienced "semi-large" scale bitcoin miners on: May 31, 2017, 01:50:54 PM
I too have been trying to find an ideal location in Tampa to scale an operation, but I found a few better options.   Sago Networks in South Tampa is a miner friendly data center that will charge you electric as a pass through, so your only additional cost is the racks.  Considering it is a conditioned data center, that would solve a lot of your problems.  I was close to parking 50 miners at Sago until I stumbled on Toomim as a host, and I just had 25 come online there where I am paying 6.5 cents p/watt, which is much cheaper than 11 cents at Sago and 13 cents with TECO.  If I had 30k to invest in another 20 miners, Toomim would be my first inquiry.

Thanks everyone for the input, it sounds like a bad idea for my office.  What about running them in a garage that could hit ambient temps of 85-90 f?  Will the cards overheat?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 6x RX480 GPU Rig - Heat and Noise? on: May 18, 2017, 01:38:05 PM
I am bored and looking at building an open air GPU rig to tinker with, but I can't find too much intel on how loud and how much heat they put off.  I would have a single rig in my office (ambient 74 deg f) running 6x RX 480's.

At one time I had an Antminer S3 and S7 in my office and those got evicted pretty quick, so how would this compare to an S3?

Thanks.
