3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 31, 2016, 01:58:38 AM
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

It is a very likely possibility that in the future banks will no longer be needed. Cybersecurity is on the rise and with the invention of bitcoin there are many people that are coming up with new ways of making their online wallet as safe as possible. As it stands now I think most wallet sites are just as enough secured, if not more secure than most banks.
I completely support this theory. I think it is very likely that banks will become obsolete if they don’t figure out how to help or integrate themselves into the blockchain technology for the need of staying advanced to serve the people efficiently.

Banks might very well adopt the block chain technology. But it will be their own version of the block chain, and not the one from Bitcoin. That's mainly due to the fact that there is no way for banks to control it. With their own version they can basically still control every aspect. That's the difference.

Banks wont disappear but I'm fairly certain that given it's time they'll change (influenced by bitcoin), but we wont see blanks disappear and just have everyone carrying their money in their wallets. However we might see an scenario where both of these things coexist. Kind of like Mr.Robot's E-Corp's E-coin. Cheesy
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: August 31, 2016, 01:52:27 AM
As people are awarding of bitcoin & its potential. When we can see bitcoin as international currency? Huh
International currency like dollar? Lol this is to ambitious, it will never happen, government will never use bitcoin as exchange their currency, because bitcoin is not stable. Bitcoin is only for digital currency  though there are many physical stores accepting bitcoin as payment but and expect too much to it, btc is for the internet only

Indeed, however several governments have been looking into it for a while and more are starting to, I doubt we will see that happening anytime soon but if it happens it'll take several years for it to be uniformly implemented.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 01:49:44 AM
That would be awesome idea as even kids could earn some bitcoins by playing only
i hope its just not a idea, hope some altcoin do that

The problem is, as I voiced before, people will simply start botting the game. Currently, people already bot just for popularity. If you put money into this, botting will be way more common.

Yeah it would be easily exploitable, unless they set some serious measures to prevent that. That's why it's unlikely they'll implement btc to it but I suppose a third party site might open the opportunity to trade pokemon for btc. But I agree with the point you're making.
6  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: August 31, 2016, 01:45:30 AM
Most of the time i use the bitcoin as a investment you know i dont think he will come really far with just as currency because there are so many things that can go as currency so i think that bitcoins can be used as best for investments.

Well I would say that you should try to use bitcoin as currency because you are going to realize the convenience that it gives once you are going to try it as a currency. Me either, I am also using bitcoin as investment as I am holding some amount of mBTC and I am hoping that is going to earn once the price is going to increase.

Same here, I use it as both a currency and often invest on it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: August 31, 2016, 01:42:00 AM
Still talking about something that everyone agree about. OP need to lock this thread, conclusion is that every stealing is illegal, no matter what.
With that conclusion (op need to add it in headline) everyone knows opinion of community. I doubt that will stop thiefs and scammers, but at least we try something to do about it. Rising awareness can help people to not fall in their traps.

I completely agree, although after reading the thread it's kind of worries me to think that a thief or scammer thinks it's okay to steal bitcoin just because it thinks that just cause it might not be considered ''real money'' it's not illegal and hence ok to do. The best we can do to fight it as you said is raise awareness and educate people to take smart decisions.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2016, 01:34:20 AM
I know that I would definitely play Pokemon Go more often if bitcoin was implemented into the game as a payment method for pokeballs and other items. I think that could be a very innovative way to introduce kids to bitcoin and how it works. Very good idea and I hope to see this in the future!

I doubt it'll happen but it's an interesting idea. I guess that if it's implemented it would be a great way to introduce a lot of people into bitcoin and could have a great effect in the community itself. I guess I might even start playing it if that were the case.  Grin
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: August 31, 2016, 01:30:40 AM
yes bitcoin has a very very bright future. i hope bitcoin will become more and more popular in future.
Yes, but I guess what the OP was actually asking was, “Does it have a future?” Of course the answer is "Yes".
As time goes on I’m sure bitcoin will become a much more stable currency then it will gain more popularity automatically and it will be used by a vast number of people equivalent to fiats now a days.

Bitcoin is the foundation for all altcoins and it's hard to imagine a future without it. A better question might be what that future is however that's difficult to predict. I do believe that given its time it'll get more and more popular since now so many governments are looking into blockchain technology, even Russia.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges , a "Free" alternative to mixers ? on: August 31, 2016, 01:26:02 AM
its not a mixer at all and it is possible to trace the addresses i believe

1) Use a US IP address (VPN) to register an email address on mail.com.
2) Set up a BTC-E or 1Broker account with VPN using the anonymous email address.
3) Deposit and withdraw coins. In the case of 1broker, wait until your deposit has been sweeped (otherwise they may send the same outputs directly back to you).

Yes, there is a still a point of failure -- the VPN. Use a no-log VPN. Even then, can't be sure. Maybe Tor --> VPN.

Well I guess you need to have blackhat Bitcoins to do that anyways. If you definitely just need to hide from someone (not cops) you'll just use it without proxies.

Yeah you'd need rather shady sources for those btc and I'm not sure how I feel about it. But in principle using an exchange could perfectly work as a sort of mixer.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: August 31, 2016, 01:23:40 AM
To be honest, the more and more I think about it I end up liking the idea. Even though I understand the downsides it would imply getting salary in BTC it would be an interesting experience and if I had the opportunity for that to happen I believe I would very much like that.  Smiley
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: bitcoin affects life a lot on: August 31, 2016, 01:20:46 AM
It's something you have to deal with not only with bitcoin but with several things in your life, many things can end up swallowing a lot of your time. You need to learn how to deal with these things and establish some sort of balance.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitGo, Coinbase Vaut or Paper Wallet for secure long term storage on: August 31, 2016, 01:08:35 AM
No matter how safe the storage system is, it's always a good idea to split your funds and store them in different places (safe places ofc).
15  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: hacer una faucet? on: August 31, 2016, 01:01:54 AM
Es perfectamente rentable, es por eso que hay tantas hoy en dia. Lo unico que recomendaria es el tener unas leves medidads de seguridad para prevenir farmers.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 31, 2016, 12:51:36 AM
I'd store it in a web wallet, with a password that's at least 6 characters in length.

Of course I won't do that. I'd probably do this:
Paper wallet. (Plastic, Steel, Wood, Whatever.)

Put in bank safe deposit box. Only you can open it, together with the bank employee.

I would probably split the coins into chunks of 50 or 25 or 10.

I'd do exactly the same, I would try to be really cautious as well. Maybe split it even further.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: August 31, 2016, 12:41:29 AM

18  Local / Servicios / Re: vale la pena rentar ghs? on: August 31, 2016, 12:35:24 AM
