5  Economy / Scam Accusations / DownloadDir - Scammer on: March 24, 2013, 07:20:19 AM
DownloadDir is a (pretty dumb) scammer.

Sold BTC for paypal to myself and at least 2 others in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=156924.0

BTC never arrived at 1st he claimed it was because he/she/it sent them from Silkroad (and provided these screenshots http://gyazo.com/c158d3965b94b26e6adbf3a3f6f1fe51 & http://gyazo.com/d8928a8b54873a42aa020f83c853817c ) and it takes longer. He then vanished from communication. Its now over twelve hours since he claims to have sent.

Pretty sure OP in this thread is a scammer bought 0.5BTC with paypal he claimed it was sent from his silkroad road account over 2 hours ago when I asked for a TX ID or any proof about an hour ago he has gone silent and offline.

Dumb thing is he took payment via paypal so his scam is a fail

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins? on: March 23, 2013, 08:31:50 PM

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins? on: March 23, 2013, 05:58:54 PM
Well I took the plunge and sent the OP £24 for 0.5BTC will update
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins? on: March 23, 2013, 04:33:14 PM
DON't sell by paypal, you might end up with nothing.
+1 and they where both of those members have very low post counts.

Offered feedback from other sites best I can do. OP insisted I send 1st though so no dice as you may think my postcount is low but his is brand spanking shiny new.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling Bitcoins? on: March 23, 2013, 03:51:41 PM
Sent you a PM I would buy a small amount (under 1 BTC)
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ASIC power in a graphics card on: March 23, 2013, 03:10:03 PM
BOINC and F@H are GPU computing pools. F@H is Folding at Home it relates to protein strains and cancer. I think what he means is that in these programs people have at points released improved software that meant the GPU's used suddenly realised a lot more compute power than they previously had.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do with 1000 btc? on: March 22, 2013, 12:44:26 PM
If 1000 BTC appeared in my wallet

I'd cash out enough to take a long weekend away.

Would likely sit on the rest loan some out, cash out a few if it seems wise at the time.

Also would collect £20 off my wife as she has a bet going I can't make 0.5BTC by the end of the week only through free means (currently she is winning easily)!  Grin
13  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] (UK Only) 8GB (2x4) G.Skill DDR3 on: March 22, 2013, 08:30:53 AM
0.9 btc = £41 at the current rate. Better drop your price my man - that's silly money....

Peace.

Sold elsewhere... I should have updated that yesterday.

Like I said when I listed 0.9 was just under £30

15  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] (UK Only) 8GB (2x4) G.Skill DDR3 on: March 20, 2013, 04:51:04 PM
Still available last guy was a time waster.

You are asking to large a price considering you can get them new for the price.

CCL currently sells them for £26 per 4GB so the 8GB is £52 new. When I listed these BTC was a fair bit lower my price figured out to be under £30 at time of listing which is a bargain.

sorry if its been asked before but a lot of pages to check through.

I set up reaper to mine using my GPU with litecoinpool.org

Setting in reapers config are this

Quote
host litecoinpool.org
port 9332
user XXXX
pass XXXX

protocol litecoin

worksize 256
aggression 318
threads_per_gpu 1
sharethreads 20
lookup_gap 2
gpu_thread_concurrency 21572

It appears to connect but then just idles away receiving no shares the line it shows is like this

Quote
Got LP9.1GH/s, shares 0:0, stale 0%, `o kH/s, 332s

I have left it for 30+ minutes to return to lines and lines of this.

Any help is appreciated I can't tell if its the miner, the pool or me being dumb  Undecided
